Wonderful video, would love to see some images of the sugarolly mountains. It doesn't look that big in the aerial photo, my recollection was that it was about half the height of Ben Nevis ;-)
I was born at 31 Skerryvore Rd lived there for 7 years before moving to 32 Skerryvore Rd just across the street and lived there until 1980. Good times.
Giovanni I know live in Austria and visited Cranhill a few years ago. It has totally changed you probably wouldn't recognise it now depending when you last lived there.
Well being the age I was when I saw them, I would probably agree with you. However, I'm sure they were actually no more than a couple of hundred feet. Great days climbing them though!!!!
Good times back then. Before the Internet. Before the unhealthy and unrealistic expectations that the newer generations have these days. It's not that things were better back then, we just appreciated things more. I'd love to go back to those days - but I'd want to take all the things we have these days back with me.... And therein lies the impossible situation; it's today's world and today's things that make us the way we are now. I suppose it'd just be good to recapture the old mindset people had back then. Is that possible, with the ever-progressing, ever-changing Modern World? FUCK KNOWS!!
@@Steampunksaly That's a debate in itself. Is it merely that there's more magic around things when you're young, or is it that the magic has been sapped away with attention span problems with the internet and social media. I suppose kids today feel even more magic than we did, back in the day, with their fancy toys and games. That being said, I think I preferred playing outside. Hide and seek and ball-tig and climbing roofs. I don't think many kids do that now.... And I guess we wouldn't have either if we had Playstations and XBoxes and PCs.

It’s your youth you are wanting back not your surroundings- your youth has gone forever
