My auntie stayed in the Soutra Place flats 12 up. She's long gone now. That was the 70s. My pal stayed in Bellrock St. I went to St. Andrew's across the Edinburgh Road and used to sometimes cross the Cranhill Park to go to my aunties for lunch. God memories. Thanks Paul

Hi, My granny lived in Cranhill and your video brought back many great memories. I was brought up in Castlemilk and used to get the 22 or 46 bus to visit her, great days. I now live in Somerset (49 years), and try and visit Glasgow at least once a year, still love the place, great city. I wonder, if sometime you could do a tour of Castlemilk, Downcraig Road. I lived immediately across from St Margaret Mary’s primary school at No 43. Our house has gone now but I have fantastic memories and still think of the place all the time. Keep up the great work, you bring realism to your videos.
Lived in Crowlin Crescent top floor with fantastic views from 1972 to 1983 went to St Gregorys from 72-76. Crowlin Crescent was the main entrance to the school

margaret ryan here(married name) I lived in Barlanark from 63 to 66.We emigrated in 66 to adelaide SAust. My older brother went to Cranhill high school. We used to walk to Hoganfield Loch (mum and dad never new this till I let it slip in my late 30s) We used to muck around in the Queenslie industrial estate. I remember in 65 hundreds of Cranhill high kids came to the close next to us and grabbed a lad who was a prefect at the school and they bashed and stabbed him several times, had a bicycle chain embedded in his back and he nearly died of the injuries. This was all because he had reported one of the lads at school for smoking. This was on Barlanark Rd. It was one of the reasons mum and dad decided to emigrate, as they were worried about the gang violence at the time. Other than that I have fond memories of living in Barlanark , Knightswood and born in the coocaddens. OH by the way I guess you know that the Young brothers of AC/DC are from Cranhill. I still live in Adelaide.
