Thank you, Please I have questions 1) when you open bag , ph will increase and convert ammonium to ammonia harm shrimp, specially if come from long shipment, so what to do in this case? 2) for long acclimating, is it necessity for air stone? But even if we use it will increase ph and make above mentioned problem, so what to do in this case? 3) how match temperature between bucket and aquarium after finishing acclimation? Thanks in advance
I just done this method today I have 4 cherry shrimp in a 10 gallon with 9 neon tetras I have never owned shrimp before I hope I do everything right for them they seem ok at the moment they have lots of real plants to hide in if they wish
@@brendonkennedy3373Good helpful tip for for beginners. It's my bad though . I must of been half asleep or something when I asked the question. I could of answered that myself. Drip acclamation is to acclimatising the new inhabitants to your parameters (including temp) so you don't shock them. I don't tie a knot in the airline, cause I had a spare control valves to use. ✌
I’m looking at ordering from uk based company proshrimp for my first batch of cherry shrimp any advice when buying shrimp that are going to be shipped or just follow same techniques
Don't buy from them, buy from me haha! Jokes I don't really sell shrimp :) Just make sure you're in for the day that they should be arriving. Other than that just follow the same techniques :D
I’ve heard to leave the aquarium light off for 24 hours after putting them in the tank. Do you recommend doing that? Or is 12 -14 hours okay until the light comes on as usual?
Great video man! But should you not have addressed the ammonia from in the bag, also what has accumulated during drip? When drip acclimating, I usually put a drop of seachem Prime in the container to detoxify any ammonia that has built up in the bag, as well as in the container in the future as it lasts up to 3 days when dosed to recommended concentrations.
+NorthScape Aquascaping Hey man! So for late reply :( Although I didn't directly comment on ammonia, I did say to try and get as little of the container water into your tank when introducing the shrimps. That's a great tip with the prime. I'll be sure to give it a go :D
No worries on the late reply! I would be less worried about the ammonia in your tank (The biofilter and plants will eat it up easily), and more worried about the shrimp sitting in the ammonia from the bag water during drip acclimating. P.S. I read your comments in your accent. It makes it more legitimate, I love it.
+NorthScape Aquascaping I see what you mean. To be honest the way I see it is they have sat in the bag for 24-48+ hours, another one shouldn't be life threatening :) Haha! I wasn't aware I had an accent other than English xD
Simply Shrimps yeah that's a good point. I can see if you've had them shipped, that being the case. I'm usually just really cautious with ammonia and shrimp. they're just so little and delicate looking 😂
Good luck :) there is a risk that if there is any parasite or bad things in the water they came in then they might go in your tank. It’s just a safety pro causation really.
@@live2fish719 because looks like ammonia in water there came in so dont want that in your tank best try not put little as possible in your tank or use little bit seachem prime to detoxify anything what's in there
DO NOT SUCK ON THE TUBE! Sucking on the tube can get you sent to the hospital, and unfortunately I have seen quite a few people visit because of it ( I work the front desk at a hospital). People get sick from contaminated water all the time. There are tools, and a ton of videos to help you get the suction going.
great vid and no product placements,10/10
It’s all about shrimps but not products 😂
Only guy who used an air stone to do drip acclimation. No sucking aquarium water. You win VIP prize dude.
Yay! Thanks 😁
this guy is legendary , this technique saved all my bloody mary shrimps , which would usually die due to premature molting and shock
Welcome back and also a great tutorial!
+HistoryMan thanks
Great video, love the sound effects 😅❤
Haha thanks 😁

Neon tetras need a 20 gallon+ tank
Great video my friend!
+Billy Hall thank you 😁
yoooo! this is an amazing video thanks for the big idea
I will just do the net instead of scoop em tho
No worries :D Happy to help!
Great video! Just one question, will I be able to create a siphon if my tank is on ground level?
Thanks! As long as the tube in the tank is higher than the container outside then yes :)
Well done I must say!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
+DluxeShrimps cheers man!
Can you use the tubing of a gravel vacuum
Good vid and ur cute btw! Keep up the good work

You’re welcome 😁
Great video. You got my sub 👍🏻
Thanks 😁 I love your user name haha 😂
Simply Shrimps Thank you 🤓
Hi, great video. After an hr or so of drip acclamation , wouldn't the containers temp be a lot lower than the aquarium,?
Why would it be? Would adjust to room temperatures

Is there another way? I dont have another tube

is that okay keep Red Cherry with Crystal red?
It should be ok, just make sure the parameters are set for crystal reds :)
What is wrong with keeping them together?
And why do you need parameters ?

Do you have shrimp website? If you do .Do you ship to Canada?
Unfortunately not sorry =(
HAHA 2:45! Thanks for the tips mate!
Snap snap snap! No worries 😁 Thanks for watching 🙏
Why do you have to try to get the least water from the plastic bowl? Can’t you just pour it all in there?
Because it will still contain some of the water they came in and you want to minimalism cross contamination as much as possible :)
Simply Shrimps what happened when you cross contaminate? Btw I’m doing exactly what you did on the video as I’m typing. Thanks for the video

Why not simply put the unopened shrimp bag into your tank for a couple of hours?
Shrimp are more sensitive to changes in water parameters than fish and so need to be acclimated slower :)
@@SimplyShrimps Thanks!
I just float mine for 30 minutes with the lights off. And they are fine.

Oooh myyyy goooosh! How did I miss that ha! Thanks for letting me know 😁
I just let my cleaner shrimp sit in the bag in the tank for 20 minutes and put him in. He’s doing great, really simple
you should eat less soy. otherwise good video
Why less soy? 😂 thanks!
@@SimplyShrimps My guess is it's a reference to soy's estrogen properties. You'll have to figure it out from there.
