Hi "WJF84" thanks for taking the time out to review our product, we always appreciate constructive feedback, however feedback from the 1000's of installing Plumbing Contractors (and Housing developer's) now only fitting Buteline tells us once they have become familiar with the installation of our product is so simple and easy to install and the tools very rarely become obstructive during installs. We are also a little concerned at your experience with our ProClamp tool, which yes does require periodic (maybe yearly depending on the amount of use) recalibration, but by no means is in anyway inferior to our Standard BFR Tool. Finally we believe the alleged noises you hear maybe from expanding pipes that have not been clipped using a Buteline pipe clip (our clips allow for movement in the pipe) but we would be happy to send one of our External Representatives to meet you to discuss and demonstrate the features and benefits of Buteline and even provide certificated product training if you wish. Once again thanks for taking the time to review.
ButelineUK Ltd I'm afraid your assumptions are incorrect. It may well be that the pro ratchet tool needed calibrating, but why did the supplied jig slide over the joint to confirm a full crimp? And the fitting still failed the pressure test? The same fitting was then recrimped using the standard crimp tool and passed. This is reproducible. We used the buteline branded 16mm and 22mm grey talon clips throughout the installation (with the bit inside that allows bounce). It's not the pipe that clicks against the joist or the clip, it's the metal part of the fitting itself that clicks during expansion. The fact is there were several standard scenarios where the crimp tool was too big to get into tight situations. The pro tool was almost always small enough, but was not reliable. I actually love the product and can see its uses commercially and for new builds. But you will not succeed with day-to-day domestic plumbers.
Where can I get buteline from online?
Hi David you can buy Buteline online via PlumbNation www.plumbnation.co.uk/site/plumbing-supplies/?manufacturer=buteline
