Thank you for posting this for the world to witness such a sacred event in Nigerian history for those of us who were so far away and wasn`t aware of the legend as it lived in the flesh , but lives forever in legacy ! Peace.
Crying in 2024 in America I’m born here I’ve visited many times but only he knew our struggle. Everyone else believes that lie that we’re better off for being kidnapped and tortured and enslaved. He knew what we felt inside. The trauma passed on to us and how our suffering is one that is exclusively ours. Nobody knew but Fela knew. He fought no matter what they did to him and we did too. Thank you my brother for all your work and soul you gave us in the gift of song. You stood up against the systemic corruption and oppression that the children of Africa deal with daily and made the world respect our. We love you forever ❤
You are not there. It is just your shell, as you have ascended to a higher calling, to seats reserved for the fearless, and those who saw corruption and refused to look the other way. Even in death which we all shall one day succumb to, you are still popular. March on boldly and take your reserved seat! The death you had in your pocket got switched to everlasting life.
Thank you Mr. Anikulapo71, this is good for history & for the records. Pls. can you also get & upload NNG (Nigeria Natural Grass), one of the songs Fela never released. Thanks
@ladeliciosa244 He was in and out of prison for the most corrupt political reasons. There are lots of ways to learn more about him. "Music is the weapon" documentary is a good introduction to him.
Hello. Would you have the e-mail address of this Bablar Video Production? I'm working in a documentary about Fela and I would like to contact them to use this material in our film. Thank you very much.
@KrazeWorld oohh thats a good idea. i will do that too. i've never had a tattoo b4 but i just thought about it now that u mentioned it with fela. i wonder how much its gonna cost me.
In wikipedia it says he died of AIDS, I recently met some Nigerians who claim the Nigerian Authorities finally killed him, anyone have something to say about that?
@winnieegee no he wouldn't there is so much stereotyping and ignorance and fear regarding AIDS now and especially back then. He wouldn't say anything. Particularly in Africa there are sooo many misconceptions about AIDS and how one gets it and treats it etc., and if it's like that now, i can only imagine how it would back then. I don't believe he would have told anyone. He might have been in denial about it.
