    4:-7 that's actually better behaviour, more consistent, not speeding up and slowing down when it needs to slow soon anyway. Nice.

    You don't need a turn signal on a merge.

      Turn signal on merge might alert you if a car is in your blind spot.

    • @tommornini2470
      @tommornini2470 Год назад +3

      Particularly when there’s nobody around.
      Since we can’t see all directions and do get distracted, best to signal all the time.
      But FSD Beta doesn’t have those shortcomings.

      @jkev1425 Год назад +4

      In Germany you need, because it is seen as lane change. Just for comparison

  • @eubikedude
    @eubikedude Год назад +3

    I really wish they would add a user setting for speed bump speed. "more frail" people might want it much less - or if carrying something sensitive. Likewise folks with smaller wheels (thicker rubber) might be happy with higher - or indeed a Cybertruck. :) A "window" of speeds depending on whether a vehicle is behind you or not might be nice too and maybe linked to sport/std or chill.

    8:35 it thought it saw something of concern with the road so moved to the edge of the lane, not really 'swerving'. it was also still within its lane. though understandable why you cant see that at the time.

    A small patch can cause large changes in behavior.

  • @alittleofthisnthat5665
    @alittleofthisnthat5665 Год назад +1

    FSD Beta tasters need to be consistent and properly using two words...intervene and disengagement. You intervene when you adjust your set speed up or down or apply more accelerator pressure, you disengage when you apply brake or steering pressure to take it out of FSD Beta

  • @anicholasfilms

    At 3:27 would the slowness be due to the inability to see in those areas... more cautious as you said

    AI systems operate statistically, and FSD Beta will NEVER encounter the same input twice in a row - which would require all pixels on multiple frames of every camera to be identical.
    So it doing something correctly one time after an update doesn’t support your comment that “they fixed it.” 🤷‍♂️
    Hope you’re right, in any case.

    • @nonconsensualopinion
      @nonconsensualopinion Год назад +1

      I think you mean "deterministically". "Statistically" would mean it changes randomly but in a way that each outcome is expected with certain frequency. Otherwise I completely agree with your comment.

    • @tommornini2470
      @tommornini2470 Год назад

      @@nonconsensualopinion While AI inference is deterministic (same result for same input) many AI outputs represent statistical confidence levels.
      FSD Beta reviewers often say things like “it’s weird that it does different things in THE SAME situation!”
      It’s not weird at all since FSD Beta input is on the order of 500M bits (two frames of 8 x 1 megapixel cameras, 30ish bits per pixel) - which is beyond mind crushingly large.
      Given sensor noise, position, and environment, no two FSD Beta inputs will ever be *identical* - even if Tesla FSD were used continuously by a billion Teslas on every planet that exists, until the universe run down. 😂
      Given those facts, Tesla FSD will behave non-deterministically even if the system computes entirely deterministically.
      Hope that clarifies.

    James, Does this update reduce phantom braking? Update 10.69.3 has dozens PB incidents on Highway 1 from Ragged Point to Big Sur both directions on last week’s journey. Perhaps result of tree shade on roadway? However no PB on Highway 101 and 405 for about 150 mile trip; first time ever no PB along this route. How does this new update handle reduced number of lanes, lane width and redirected roadways in construction zones? Thanks for video! James

      I’m disappointed you guys , doing Uber in LA , it missed a stop sign that was partially covered by a tree , few erratic stops on the streets and freeway , realized it’s one line off from making a right turn was stuck and confused , random sudden “take over immediately “ messages, and this was all past 10pm with light traffic conditions. I’ll cancel the subscription and wait for a better release . It is truly amazing and mind blowing when it works though. Hope you have a better experience.

      I do also agree difficulty should increase by taking new test routes. But it is important to keep these loops as benchmark since these have been tested for so long now. I guess till FSD nails these 100% of time it is ok to be testing these loops.

    • @waltcorey5115

      Yes, I sought of agree on a more challenging course. James, since you started, have successive drops improved. My sense is it has gone from virtually unusable, save beta testing, to marginally usable but when it fails its major. We've got 5-6 weeks left in 22 and Musk seems anxious to drop 11.0 and allow any fsd purchaser to use.it is not ready...unless 11.0 is the big game changer.

    Maybe speed bumps are different on the east coast but even at 5mph it's jarring. I'm on 20.19, whatever fsd drop that is. I'm not impressed. Unless Musk is holding back on "the big reveal " they've got a bunch of fixing to do. No right turn on red worked twice has been failing ever since. There are places it fails for no apparent reason. Do you suppose Musk is micromanaging the fsd group like he is Twitter?
