Am not a toilet connoisseur; however, that new one had a great flush system. Am sure you have a way of protecting your tools, but how do you prevent bacterial spread after cleaning out old wax ring and mushrooms as well as Lord knows what else was in that area. Have replaced many an older toilet and I have done practically everything you do. However, I found that I would buy cheap disposable items to scrape and clean than to waste time disinfecting my good tools. Thanks for the video. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

That's not a bad idea on disposable tools, but you could have a set of tools stored in a bucket you use just for working on toilets. I always clean my tools after working with them, so wiping down some pliers and wrenches with isopropyl alcohol or spraying them with a disinfect is not that tough.

Yeah I just hit ‘em with a wet wipe then wipe them off. Maybe I should do something different, but I don’t lick em. 😂

Me neither Britt. I want to look up what generation that toilet is. I almost kept it, but my wife would have killed me.

that hole in floor tile where tube comes up looks like a great place for missed pee and water to run under toilet and make some more mushrooms what a terrible layout for the plumbing with that plastic tube coming through floor.
I saw an interesting video a guy took a large plastic and metal sliding pistol grip clamp and flipped the end around on it so he could use it as spreader bar and slipped it in toilet bowl under lip and it made perfect handle to pick up the toilet and carry it then.

Well, I really don't like that toilet 😅. I had started on a B.R. in the Condo before my money disappeared out of my Bank. I had to use my oscillating tool to cut the bolts from the tank & removed it. I have the cleanest tanks anyone has ever seen.😂 Very hard water here & all cleaning companies have taken out the cleaning products for rust, scales, etc.
I'm now suffering from several back fx. that makes it hard to impossible to do what I used to. I did everything & loved it. But, I found plumbing to be especially redundant & confusing. I recently had a sewer backup flood from the Condos garage clean out valves, so, that was kinda it! I'm fighting with them now LOL.
Of course a remediation should be done. I just want a good toilet that will flush toilet paper & facets that can stand up to hard water. I'm almost afraid of what I'll find when I lift that bowl. Anyway, Thanks for your videos 🙌🏻💯

I was going to install a Toto drake, but the supply house only had a bowl. You should look at them. They are my favorite.

Well, if the 3 Stooges did that job, all three of them would have tested it out with predictable results. By the way, there's a Stooges episode called "A Plumbing We Will Go". You'd really enjoy that one. 🤣@@ThatFixItGuy

It was made by a company called Niagara and sold by Home Depot under the Niagara and Glacier Bay brands. I work in apartment maintenance, and 2 of the 4 properties my employer owns have those toilets. Thankfully, Fluidmaster makes replacement fill valves for them, otherwise we'd be constantly swapping out toilets as the valves fail. Really dumb design that was marketed as a way to save water.
