That was a beautiful spot, Jamie. And a beautiful area. I'm definitely coming back to do the horseshoe. I'm glad I'm not the only one who talks to sheep. Yes, my hike was slow, too. I just kept stopping, filming, and soaking it in. Normally 2mph, but it was 1.1mph on Pen Y Fan. But I think I enjoyed it more. It's definitely a great buy that tent. Loved the meal. I'm a strange one. I can eat prawns but not fish. Yeah, weird. It would have been nice to get a sunrise but this way you have a great excuse to go back. Thanks for sharing Jamie, fantastic video.
I noticed you doing the same on your video😂with the sheep. I walk often just don’t always film. If you need a bag carrier next time you are here just say something on one of my video's, I'd be happy to carry everything as long as you buy me one can of beer😁👋 I can set a tent up for you also if you need to break it all up and finish it the next day. @@JamieHarding5 I know I'm probably an old git to you Jamie but I can get there OK, just at a slower speed. I'm riddled with arthritis and following an RTA on a motorbike years ago messed the leg up. I would love to do a meet up and hike. I want to do the horseshoe and stop half way and heat up the MRE I've bought from the Bug Out Prepper Store. I've just got to remember that I need to find my stove which I put in a safe place. The start I have is the Taf Fechan Forest car park then hike clockwise. The first up will be the slow sharp one but after that it is a lot of undulating ridge walk by the look of it. I see from your video my pronunciation of Welsh is pretty crap but I'm trying to learn.🙄. I am retired but went back to work after it rained from September to March. I got bored so I'm working 3 days a week. But I can sack that off at any time. My issue is I'm the driver to get the wife to work so Saturday or Sunday is probably best for me. The only reason I was able to do midweek this time is that Amanda is off sick at the moment.
@@JamieHarding5 my longest hike was 22 miles but I was dead on my feet by the end. 10 - 15 miles is about it for me and the route I have planned is 11 miles. Mind you if I went anticlockwise I think the up is more gradual.

Give me a little notice and I'll be there and help in any way I can. Next month I'm taking a woman from America to a crash site, it was her dad's cousin. If plan a big walk or whatever you want I can put your tent up and everything, I'll carry it all👍 You owe me 1 🍺

Brilliant location to pitch your tent. You look to have enough gear for a week or two and a few cans of "pop" for a party. Can`t fault your meal though. We are into seafood ourselves. Magical place as the sun set and really satisfying to see that those choosing the more popular tops were in the clouds. Still the cloud did catch you early morning. Hope the sheep did not interrupt your sleep. We have spent many a happy time listening to sheep grinding their teeth as they chewed on grass outside a tent. Great watch once again Jamie. Have fun.
Thank you Ivor😁👍 It's a such a nice place that few ever go to, nicer for me then. I'm okay carrying lots of gear, it was pretty hot, I always carry 4 500ml waters, beers and lots of bits. If I can fit in my 80l bag I can carry it😂 The sheep were quiet. I was pretty tired though, they could have been singing outside and I wouldn't have noticed😁 Thanks mate👍👋

Cheers Butchy pal😁👍 It's a Cracking tent, £50 off gumtree, used twice. I'm up the busy side of the mountain tomorrow there, Pen y Fan. There's a lake there, I've been up and down Pen y Fan so many times but never been to the lake below. Camping at the lake, swim and bit of cooking. Yeah you need a bit of room in a tent. I've just picked up tiny Vango something 1 man tent, it small, very small. I'll keep it for when I'm walking very far and need to light. Tomorrow I carry loads😁 Sunny day tomorrow, hoping to get a sunset but Saturday morning it's very wet, I'll be on my way about 7am. All the best on your next one pal😉👋

Cheers Ry. I've really fallen in love with camping. Picked up another tent yesterday🤦🏻 I'm water tight though and will only pay cheap 😂 I share everything though with everyone that I have. You are hardcore and must think what is he doing or carrying😂 I'm going to get better, honestly. I will get lighter. It's pretty new to me, I've always walked but not camped much, I'm 45 now and feel like a kid doing it. Tomorrow I'm off to North Wales. I was going to Snowdon, the weather isn’t great. I might go to a waterfall or beach or bothy, I've no idea. I never know what I'm doing. I never think what I'm going or anything, that’s why my vids are a little rough. @@JamieHarding5 mate, I doubt anyone's thinking that, and I'm certainly not. I take a load with me on one night camps too, beers, curry, a chair, etc, my pack weighs a tonne. It's nice to have luxuries on a one nighter. I go light on multi day hikes then. We've all got to start somewhere, it's great to see you loving the outdoors and enjoying the camps. You're getting a serious amount of comments on your videos too, and all positive. That's a good sign you're doing something right. Keep up the good work, mate 👍🏼
I used to live on the back ridge of the Rocky Mountains. The mountain I lived on seemed like a rolling hill until I started to hike. A lot of hard work, but I always felt like I ‘touched the face of God’ when I got to the top. I never spent the night there, but I was there enough for the wild deer to become used to me. It was truly Heaven!

That was a beautiful spot, Jamie. And a beautiful area. I'm definitely coming back to do the horseshoe. I'm glad I'm not the only one who talks to sheep. Yes, my hike was slow, too. I just kept stopping, filming, and soaking it in. Normally 2mph, but it was 1.1mph on Pen Y Fan. But I think I enjoyed it more. It's definitely a great buy that tent. Loved the meal. I'm a strange one. I can eat prawns but not fish. Yeah, weird. It would have been nice to get a sunrise but this way you have a great excuse to go back. Thanks for sharing Jamie, fantastic video.

@@JamieHarding5 I know I'm probably an old git to you Jamie but I can get there OK, just at a slower speed. I'm riddled with arthritis and following an RTA on a motorbike years ago messed the leg up. I would love to do a meet up and hike. I want to do the horseshoe and stop half way and heat up the MRE I've bought from the Bug Out Prepper Store. I've just got to remember that I need to find my stove which I put in a safe place. The start I have is the Taf Fechan Forest car park then hike clockwise. The first up will be the slow sharp one but after that it is a lot of undulating ridge walk by the look of it. I see from your video my pronunciation of Welsh is pretty crap but I'm trying to learn.🙄. I am retired but went back to work after it rained from September to March. I got bored so I'm working 3 days a week. But I can sack that off at any time. My issue is I'm the driver to get the wife to work so Saturday or Sunday is probably best for me. The only reason I was able to do midweek this time is that Amanda is off sick at the moment.
@@JamieHarding5 my longest hike was 22 miles but I was dead on my feet by the end. 10 - 15 miles is about it for me and the route I have planned is 11 miles. Mind you if I went anticlockwise I think the up is more gradual.

Brilliant location to pitch your tent. You look to have enough gear for a week or two and a few cans of "pop" for a party. Can`t fault your meal though. We are into seafood ourselves. Magical place as the sun set and really satisfying to see that those choosing the more popular tops were in the clouds. Still the cloud did catch you early morning. Hope the sheep did not interrupt your sleep. We have spent many a happy time listening to sheep grinding their teeth as they chewed on grass outside a tent. Great watch once again Jamie. Have fun.

I'm okay carrying lots of gear, it was pretty hot, I always carry 4 500ml waters, beers and lots of bits. If I can fit in my 80l bag I can carry it😂
The sheep were quiet.
I was pretty tired though, they could have been singing outside and I wouldn't have noticed😁

I'm up the busy side of the mountain tomorrow there, Pen y Fan. There's a lake there, I've been up and down Pen y Fan so many times but never been to the lake below. Camping at the lake, swim and bit of cooking.
Yeah you need a bit of room in a tent. I've just picked up tiny Vango something 1 man tent, it small, very small. I'll keep it for when I'm walking very far and need to light.

@@JamieHarding5 mate, I doubt anyone's thinking that, and I'm certainly not. I take a load with me on one night camps too, beers, curry, a chair, etc, my pack weighs a tonne. It's nice to have luxuries on a one nighter. I go light on multi day hikes then. We've all got to start somewhere, it's great to see you loving the outdoors and enjoying the camps. You're getting a serious amount of comments on your videos too, and all positive. That's a good sign you're doing something right. Keep up the good work, mate 👍🏼
I used to live on the back ridge of the Rocky Mountains. The mountain I lived on seemed like a rolling hill until I started to hike. A lot of hard work, but I always felt like I ‘touched the face of God’ when I got to the top. I never spent the night there, but I was there enough for the wild deer to become used to me. It was truly Heaven!

I took it out the other side of the mountain Pen y Fan on Friday, Saturday night it got crazy windy and a pole snapped🤦🏻🤣
