You caught so many of these though...i know these units are supposed to be rare but by the amount of catches it looks like you see specialist emergency vehicles every day!
It's not the rareness of catching a special vehicle, it's the rareness of each individual vehicle. Quite a lot of these in here I've only ever seen responding once in my life time. Plus the title is SPECIAL, not necessarily RARE. An Aerial Rescue Pump is considered special because of the aerial ladder capability, yet it responds every day, several times each day. But I do catch a lot of special stuff, which is why everyone else is jealous of me :P

Thanks! Actually I do - I live near the base where this helicopter is based so I see it fly over and go in for landing or take off, lol. And compared to other places I usually see it land in my area about 3 or 4 times a year as it's often the closest and most available ambulance resource in my rural area.

It's a demountable specialist equipment unit. The base vehicle can pick up the specialist unit suitable for whatever job its turning out to. Salvage unit Hose laying unit Command & control unit BA unit Welfare unit The options are endless, depending on what the fire service requirements are and what units they purchase.

The truck's name - incident response unit - doesn't really explain its role. It is basically one of many mass decontamination units that were introduced after the 9-11 attacks in America. As well as being kitted out to deal with a chemical or nuclear terrorist attack, they also respond to your everyday chemical incident.
Not loving the lights on the Jankel or the Grey sprinters... they don’t seem continuous, they used to always have at least 1 light flashing, from front and rear, or a 360, now these seem to flash randomly and then you see breaks of no lights.

That will be because this type of lighting doesn't show up on cameras very well. Strobe lighting. It's an older type of lighting rarely used now.
