So after listening to this podcast this morning, I was in my garage wondering what to do with my dad's old comics, and low and behold I noticed Domino's face through the box! I found out he had a whole bunch of X men comics! My dad passed away two years ago so finding out he was a X men fan was really exciting since I thought he only had Spiderman and Fantastic Four. My sister wanted to see Deadpool 2 again tonight and I think this is a sign from the universe that I should. Thanks for the podcast to give context to this find!
Brolin was so good as Cable, I forgot he was Thanos and only remembered when DP brought it up :) That's the biggest compliment I can pay an actor, when they dissapear into their roles.
Love how you guys delve into the nitty and gritty of the movie and touch some mature subjetcs, one can really tell you're really pasionate about what you do and not just do it "for the green" like most podcasts are nowadays. Really liked the actress who played Domino and how Domino was in the film but wish they'd kept her comic look.
Seriously. It was a gag. You can hate the X-Men all you want for whatever dumb inconsistent reasons. But, at least smile a little, dummy. I honestly thought it was a pretty funny extension of the joke in Deadpool about the studio being able to afford only 2 X-Men.

So glad you loved it. As a huge deadpool comic fan I felt this movie was a much better and truer depiction of the Deadpool character. I feel people who don't like it really dont understand the character. Deadpool is not just a comedy character. Deadpool is funny through his pain and depression. This movie did that so brilliantly. The movie isn't perfect but a much truer depiction of Deadpool in my eyes.

To update it, I'd say that applies to comic books, movies, TV, and any other forms of media. The messaging is important if it can help some people deal with bad situations and turn out ok,.
Deadpool 1 was a huuuge surprise hit! I loooved it. With Deadpool 2 the creators KNEW they already had a hit.... Deadpool 2 was not as funny and was ok-ish... not as memorable as the first one.

"Chemistry" the way CBG and Tyson play off one another. They know one another so well, that the conversation flow between them. Like two professional dancer that have performed for years. They clearly understand how each other think and can evolve what their saying to integrate the others position. This third person didn't flow into the conversation smoothly and was adding nothing more then points already made. This has been a two person show for a long time. A third person, that wasn't a puppet of some kind, was gonna have a hard time fitting in no matter what. Again, it was a fine post.

Bedlam (Terry Crews character) is from the comics. As far as the end credits go, I thought only Deadpool saved Peter, but not Zeitgiest. Peter, the only one with the perfect landing (not counting Dominio) was the only one he could save.. But yeah...I was bummed by the sudden demise of Shatterstar too. Not much commentary on that end credits koe regarding "X Men Origin Wolverine' and Ryan Reynolds getting shot before he can accept taking the lead in 'Green Lantern' (shoulda been RIPD, but thats okay) Been a fan of Brolin since Young Riders TV show. (not Goonies). I actually cried when he got sliced up by one of the bag Judas Bugs in Del Toro's Mimic :p Thought he was great as Thanos and I'm looking forward to Sicario 2.

I thought this movie disconnected from the anticipated awesomeness when the female interest dies, and Deadpool goes on to tell you how much he loved her. If you've seen the movie "Shocker" (Horror, Late 80's/Early 90's), you know comedy is possible in a movie with dying love interests.
I love that watching DP trailer you have no idea what will happen in the movie, or you think you know, not like in most trailers where they just throw at you all the scenes a plots.
the first 20 minutes worried me. it just didn't fit DP1, bad jokes stale story. then after that it completely changed tone and was 10x better than DP1. i'm just wondering if they intentionally did that to f- with the audience, which would not surprise me

I thought this movie disconnected from the anticipated awesomeness when the female interest dies, and Deadpool goes on to tell you how much he loved her. If you've seen the movie "Shocker" (Horror, Late 80's/Early 90's), you know comedy is possible in a movie with dying love interests.
The real question is when is Vanessa gonna become Copycat?

I love that watching DP trailer you have no idea what will happen in the movie, or you think you know, not like in most trailers where they just throw at you all the scenes a plots.

I would have preferred Stephen Lang but wasn't disappointed with Brolin.
the first 20 minutes worried me. it just didn't fit DP1, bad jokes stale story. then after that it completely changed tone and was 10x better than DP1. i'm just wondering if they intentionally did that to f- with the audience, which would not surprise me
