Everyone stresses about transitioning into school. Just stay calm and be yourself and you will be absolutely fine! Keep in mind that everyone is just as nervous as you!
Don’t over pack Don’t go to review sessions without studying before Don’t buy NEW text books Don’t hide in your dorm Don’t throw away the syllabus Don’t take all the same types of classes Don’t forget to check your school email DONT share drinks Don’t got home a lot Don’t have relationship expectations
Lol there's A LOT wrong w dating college seniors if you're a freshman in college. Completely different life experience and maturity level, etc I could write a book just don't do it they're likely just going to use you IMO
melissa • Sierra Paul there’s literally nothing wrong with it if you’re in college at all. Not everyone matures at the same age in college and you’re all adults in a similar age range usually. A 22 year old male is usually at the same maturity level as an 18-19 year old female. Scientifically men take longer to mature than females, but there’s also an environment/personality factor.
@@livi9591 If you're 18 and someone who's 22 is tryna get with you you need to sit back and really think about why someone nearing the end of their college years wants to date someone right out of high school. If it's completely innocent, then it's okay, but the majority of the time there's a different underlying reason. Maturity levels at the end of college and end of high school are WAY different.
don’t just take random classes, make sure each credit you take goes towards your major. you DO NOT want to take classes for fun just cause it sounds interesting. that will be a waste of money.
Yes good point!! I was speaking about gen Ed’s you need to fulfill like social sciences, natural sciences, and humanities but yes make sure they count towards your major and speak to your advisors before making permanent schedules to be sure you’re on track! 💞
tip #2 is such a mood! the number of times i went to a review session and either dozed off or began freaking out about how little i knew was ridiculous lolol
Overlooked tip/warning: if you’re not going to college close to home, you’re literally in a different environment. Like, ecosystem. You’re going to be exposed to new germs and allergens so be prepared to get sick easier or experience pollen allergies you’ve never had before. Also don’t go sharing drinks with everyone, like water bottles. This puts you at a higher risk for getting sick and being potentially exposed to meningitis which can be super dangerous if you aren’t vaccinated
I’m already in college. I’m about to go into my sophomore year and I hope I can make it better cause freshman year was shitty af. So thank you so much for the video.
I just found your channel and I’m obsessed! I’m going into my freshman year at the university of Washington and I obsess over college vids to minimize my stress. I love your videos!!!
all of these videos are so helpful since i’m going to college in a month!! i’m going to asu though, oops, we’ll be rivals soon! i can’t wait to start filming college content
So I’m an incoming freshman with a random roommate selection. I emailed and added the girl as a friend in Facebook, but she didn’t respond. What should I do?🤦🏾♀️
At least she's on Facebook. I emailed my roommate via the email address the school gave us and she hasn't responded sine ending of June. She isn't even on Facebook....and calling her seems like such a stretch
Oh my goodness I didn't realize you were going to UofA. I'm not going to college for 2 years but definitely am starting to plan. Already know I'm going to GCU because of they're medical program. Doing EVIT right now for my MA. Anyway thanks for these videos they're helping alot and will definitely reference them in a year and a half 😂❤️
I’m starting at UofA in the fall and rooming in Gila, do you know anything ab that dorm (like if any people you know had anything to say about it)? Thank you so much for all your videos, they’ve been so helpful!!
Moving to ua next week, excited but nervous my mother & I have been watching all ur videos & I totally think I overpacked 😂 rooming in Coronado looks small 🤦🏽♀️
Really nice video. I was wondering if I would be at a disadvantage attending u of a in spring. Would be really helpful if you could answer it. I'm planning for an economics major btw.
I started as a freshman this past summer semester and I went to the bookstore and bought all my books and the next day my teacher literally gave us the book for her class for free :/
*me watching hundreds of college videos hoping my transition is smooth as well*

a lot of people still get their books from the bookstore because of access codes and because they have financial aid which covers it
tip #2 is such a mood! the number of times i went to a review session and either dozed off or began freaking out about how little i knew was ridiculous lolol
I’m a sophomore in college but I still loved this video, I definitely made some of these mistakes last year! 😂
These are really helpful tips! Not basic ones like “Make sure you drink lots of water ✨💙”
I read the thumbnail like this:

As long as you haven't gone over the amount of days you can miss you should be fine.
