Love Fiona Spence. I've always said she was the best actress in the in the group. Funny seeing her blow her lines twice in this little recap. Love her smile. she was wonderful in the 40th reunion when she walked in.she had that same warm smile. Would have been great if she had come back in the role of the governor at Barnhurst.
Loved Vera! Wish she came back for a few episodes throughout the series. She is mentioned a few times. I know Fiona Spence mentions she was burnt out, but I wonder if producers evert reached out to her later on about a short return. Would have been bloody fantastic!
Is anyone else missing loads of episodes due to them being blocked in their country?.I've noticed even more early episodes have been unavailable this time around..if it wasn't for the Brightning up the cell block episodes..I wouldn't have been able to see any of the early episodes..I'm still grateful for the ones I can see..but I'd love to see the whole series..the Prisoner cell block h episodes used to run the whole series too..I've watched them all over again for years..I'm gutted that I cant anymore..🌹🥰

I wrote a story about Vera on Fan Fiction. I had Vera get pregnant by Terry and she had a baby boy and named him Joseph. Then later on she reunited and married Jim Fletcher and Jim adopted Joseph and Vera had another child.
Was Allison Page the worst character ever on Prisoner?. Sad to see Vera leaving. On second thoughts I think the worst character was the Greek lady ( I think her name was Irene) who was arrested for prostitution and could only speak about 2 words of English.
This character needed to be done with because "Vera Bennett" was mentally ill. She was sick. The psychological warfare she bestowed onto those prisoners was not normal and I believe this is why Fiona Spence was exhausted from playing the character. Also her script regularly mentioned the "sickness" of lesbians and she herself (Fiona Spence) is a lesbian. This must have been very offensive to her. But yeah the character was sick just like the character Joan "the freak" Ferguson which went on way too long. They should have put that character out of her misery too but sooner rather than later.
