@@justins9886They had damn well better give us a travelers discount, otherwise that would be painfully inefficient. No I won’t be here for the next fifteen years, but here’s my next payment so if you’ll just hold that for me and wait, I’ll be back with the rest shortly… relatively
Another great video. And the Citadel music playing under it…. that theme will always bring me back to the first time I set foot on the Citadel in ME1. I hope Exodus gives us moments and feelings like that!
What is more important about the Centauri Cluster is that the average distance between stars in the core of the globular cluster is 0.1 light years. This makes interstellar travel far more practical for an interstellar civilization. In our understanding of physics, even if you could travel faster than light, you would still be subject to time dilation.
In our current understanding of physics, it's not possible to travel faster than light, so I don't think we can authoritatively say anything about time dilation in the context of FTL.. it's currently only science fiction. Ofc there's always time dilation at any speed > zero, even here on Earth, it's just such a tiny factor in our daily lives, it's irrelevant.
Wouldn’t it be time compression, rather than dilation? e.g. if two systems are 1 light year apart, and your star craft travels at _c_ , you would arrive simultaneously as EM radiation that signalled your departure. But if your craft travels at 1.5c, you’d arrive 6 months BEFORE those signals arrive. This is deeply weird, to put it mildly…
@@mduckernz Time compression is how it would seem like to an observer at the destination, yes, but that assumes that the approach was continuous. If it was discontinuous (like from, say, a wormhole, artifical or otherwise) then you effectively teleport from point A to point B, no apparent time compression involved. Ofc this is all speculation if/until we can do FTL in RL.
Awesome videos about EXODUS. I'm new to all this. But I'm really interested in this game and the content you're making is exactly what I'm looking for. Keep it up.
This game looks more interesting with each piece of information. Thank you for keeping us updated on it. I literally can't wait for it to come out and play it and I'll be waiting for your lore videos about it
Hope you’re well Kala! Looking forward to when you get back to streaming so we can finally discuss Veilguard now I’ve played it! I need to talk about how good these companions are 🤯
Listening to this while doing dishes and heard you say Dwarf galaxy. I immediately thought it was a galaxy full of dwarves for a split second🤦♀️ Still have DAI brainrot I guess
After reading the book I want to tell that secret level story even more tragic because life expectancy for humans in Exodus world is something around 160 years old. So Marie could live for another 70+ years after their reunion.
On a basic story level I agree; but as an introduction to the world to generate interest in folks who aren't following it like us, I understand the value of spelling things out more explicitly.
The Mara Yama seem to closely resemble the Dark Eldar from Warhammer 40K in terms of their themes, what they desire, how others view them, etc. Now, obviously their specific lore like origins etc are totally different, but thematically they are very similar. And that’s fucking great! I have been wishing for some properly dark themes and presentations in a game like this. I hope they don’t hold back. And, I also hope there is a splinter faction of Celestials that are kinda their opposites, like a noblebright (opposite of grimdark) one. But make them kinda reserved and haughty, like Tolkien’s elves, for example.
Interesting, they talk of returning from an exodus in 40-50 years, long but short enough for the effects on family to be jarring on us. But then you have shown pictures of the alternatives on cities and the amount of time for cities to be so different, would be much longer, 100's of years. Melding thos two options smoothly will be extremely hard. I hope they manage it.
I hope so much the time stuff won't trigger my"Not time stuff :(" sadness, as I often find it is unmanageable in a story. But I'm definitely curious about the game, and am hoping I'll like it.
My hope for this dilation effect is that it's more than a 'skin change' for planets. I mean, if i leave and come back to find my democratic ppl having become facist?. I'd like some deep lore how this happened and not just a transition to "Oh, and now we are facist."
I can't help but wonder what happens with June's brother. He seems like a dictator clinging to power over a crumbling empire. Here's to hoping for a 2025 release date.
I know this game is independent of Mass Effect, but I wonder how much of Andromeda influenced this game. There are plenty of superficial similarities. It seems like they started from their own vision of Andromeda and made their own thing from it.
The idea that all the easily terraformable worlds relatively close to the Sol system are concentrated in one star cluster is insane. It would make more sense if for some reason they focused exploration in one direction from Sol and the Centurai cluster happened to have the highest concentration of terraformable worlds along that vector then it containing every terraformable world we found. Not to mention it would leave the possibility of Arks that traveled away from the cluster forming their own societies and breaking the lightspeed barrier which is something the Centurai inhabitants somehow haven't managed despite tens of thousands of years of advancement. You would think some groups like those the Travelers belong to would put developing FTL drives high on their to do list since finding somewhere to settle well outside the range of the Celestials would help safeguard humanity.
The npc ai in this game will either make it goty or break it as a flop like early cyberpunk. Changing whole environment and levels and npc based on our choices and making it work without bugs will be very complicated from the programming side.
i mean Starfield's promo material had already bunch of red flags and as soon as i saw 10000 generated planets i already knew game will be not good. Exodus promo material is character/story oriented which i like.
Mhm.... the game seems to be in 3rd person view. And it seems to force the player into a certain story line. The outcomes of the player's decisions seem to be a few numbered scenarios. This game play is too restrictive for my taste. I prefer more of an open world like in Starfield. We will have to wait for more information about this game, but my hopes aren't high. I think I'll skip this game and better wait for new DLCs and mods for Starfield.
I've stopped trying to dig for any news on this and mass effect myself, and just now come here. Your channel is awesome. Keep up the great work.
Well I kinda hope we get apartment that evolves with us.
Wonder what the rent would be if you are 15 years behind in payments.

Thank you kala for the video ❤
I hope Exodus comes out this year and a release date should be announced in the summer.
Maybe they are waiting for Rockstar to announce release date for GTA. No one wants to be rolled by GTA.
@@АлексейКрылов-т7гEspecially a new studio with a brand new IP.
i assume they're are planning to release in late 2025, if they can hold this deadline. Their founders program ends somewhen in august.
@Sierraone1 I think this is only personal link. My last link was active till late December, now it's to august.
The mass effect soundtrack is so comfy and good 👌
I loved exploring the Citadel. Hope i have the same feeling for the city of exodus.
Love this content! I'm reading the book now and there's so much content. I need a notebook next to me
Thanks for your coverage of this much- anticipated game! 😃
It is a really good looking game so far!
Keep up the good work 👏🏾. Hoping to see more promotional videos of the game soon from the devs too. I'm optimistic
Here’s to getting Lidon in 2025 and not 2026 🍻
I'm pretty sure they said a changeling will be one of your potential companions.
That citadel music😊

Thanks for the update. This game looks to have amazing potential.
Been waiting for this one
Another western rpg in 2025 would be nice. That would be three years in a row that I get at least one each year. ❤
As for the secret level episode, I wish that they didn't have the narrator. It really takes away from the emotional moments.

Exodus Effect
A lot of this sounds like what Andromeda tried to do with the exception of time dilation.

Even though I have never played mass effect I really am excited about the new game.
Greetings Commander Kala. Quick question: you have plans to stream it whenever the game comes out?
What is the ETA for this title? 10 years?
Earth dragons on Lidon in game?!
They could use the fact that you are biologically engineer to work around the fact that your customized character might not look their family
I know this game is independent of Mass Effect, but I wonder how much of Andromeda influenced this game. There are plenty of superficial similarities. It seems like they started from their own vision of Andromeda and made their own thing from it.
It'll be hilarious if this comes out and is welcomed as the new ME, while EA's actual ME game flops.
