WTF 2028 at the earliest!? How are they even making enough money to stay afloat with only one game every 6 years? I’m not sure that veilguard made enough money to hold them over
they won't be able to. EA will probably close them down before then or slightly after the next mass effect game, especially given its been 3 flop in a row by now and i'm not sure Bioware will be able to justify a 4th one to EA and to stay opened still after a 4th flop. Maybe they are gonna make a banger out of nowhere, but it's very unlikely that they will be able to do that given the next mass effect will have the same dev team as veilguard did. Bioware's end is doom to happen and it will be their own fault.

@@tenshi7478 yeah, you're asking too much bro, its current-day bioware and EA, we'll be lucky if mass effect 5 isn't similar to mass effect andromeda in term of quality. Bioware has lost of the trust of gamers, their brand reputation is in the gutter. EA will no choice but to close their company down after ME5. it's literally over. Veilguard was their last chance to regain gamer's trust and they failed at it. So, they lost our trust and they won't be getting it back unless EA remove the DIE framework that they make every single of their studios implement in their development process, including in game design and marketing and every other aspect like hiring. Instead of worrying about and moving to mass effect 5 directly, they should take a serious look at how they are as a company including who they hired and fire those not suitable or not efficient enough to make a game and then hire people who are. The fact its the same team as veilguard just means it will have the same disaster waiting for it and same waste of money on people who are not worth investing money in anymore. those people have proven they do not deserve to be paid or be in those position, not by the companies, but by the people who direct how the market goes and that's hardcore gamers. Because wherever hardcore gamer go, the casual and everybody else follows. So, if they don't cater to us, then they've already failed at doing their job. i don't have any hope of them getting back the trust they once had. In fact i think i will just enjoy their downfall. Sadly, I honestly agree. Let mass effect end on a good note than a fizzle :/ but who knows, I guess the chance is above zero that a new mass effect could be done well
To me if BioWare doesn't give us more information on ME5 soon they are going to get stomped on by Archetype with Exodus. We are getting more and more information on Exodus every week.
I dont think that Exodus is going to compete with Mass Effect. Exodus is pretty clearly made for Mass Effect fans, but it cant be too similar to the point it could replace Mass Effect, because it doesnt have the same lore, characters or worlds. What im trying to get at is that both games would probably share an audience, Mass Effect fans wont completely ditch the franchise for Exodus, and Exodus might attract more people to Mass Effect.
They would be different in sub genre, though if it’s not just cinematic trailers they might already be ahead, it’s better if they don’t come out in a short time, for sales at least
@ I get what you're saying, but for me my excitement is dwindling as the months turn into years and we get no new information just tid bits & cryptic messages from BioWare while Archetype is showing more & more of Exodus's lore, races, time dilation & more, so my excitement is shifting more towards Exodus. I still want to play ME5 and when I see something truly "revealing" like gameplay or more info on the story and the protagonist, antagonist then my excitement will shift again. I hope both games do really well and have their own fans, and I hope the veilguard team don't interfere with the ME5 development.
@ me too, I hope their buildings are miles apart, I’m excited for Exodus even though I don’t know much about it but revealed lore feels well written and their designs and production quality feels decent, ME5 on the other hand I want it to come soon without much reveal probably because I don’t want to find something disappointing in it, however me3 didn’t have much reveal either, whatever happens I just hope for an epic game, nothing less than our highest expectations.
My ideal ME5 starts with Shepard reduced to nothing more than a torso and a head and being too injured to save with the current state of the galaxy, due to a lack of infrastructure and cities being destroyed. So they put Shepard in cryo until they can have a second lazarus project rebuild them. But due to politics and issues on whether or not it's moral to resurrect Shepard the project never happens, until centuries later when Liara funds it in secret and steals Shepard's body. Now centuries later space travel speeds are much faster, and even though it's been 3-4 centuries since ME3, people can now reach Andromeda not much later than the arks did. And the second act of the game involves leaving the Milky Way behind to reach Andromeda, build a relay there, and link the two galaxies. And choices you made in the MW in act 1 affect how the Milky Way changed in the intervening centuries, similar to what Exodus RPG plans to do with their time dilation space travel.
you know what? I like your story way more than what these current " writers "are going to write .... bioware is dead andrmeda was a corpse walking anthem was a soul departing the world DAV ...... Complete destruction
No Shepard needs to be dead, I mean dead dead not coming back atomized when the Citadel blew up. Canon ending needs to be all synths died and it's at least decades maybe a century or 2 since the events of 3. All the species have been separated from each other although fully aware of everyone else's existence. This time we should be able to choose from a number of races at least Turian, Human, Asari and Quarian. The story starts with the first few newly built ME relays coming on line. The beginning should be like DA1 where the race and maybe class one chooses determines the very first part of the MC's story.
People would not like it if the next game takes place long after the lifetime of 80% of the squadmates and why would there be another Lazarus project? The whole purpose of it was to rebuild Shepard to fulfill their destiny to beat the reapers but with the reapers beaten why bring them back?
@@axelnilsson5124 people are gonna whine no matter what, I'd rather a new game with a new set of companions. nods to the first 3 games are fine but the next game shouldn't be completely beholden to the original trilogy.
They'd better or Mass Effect as an IP will be dead. No one like sanctimonious preaching and Andromeda brought down the IP 2 or 3 notches. The ME3 color ending already caused harm and it was lucky that players mostly accepted the extended cut endings. Another incomp writer group like those from DAV will bury it permanently
Hello, just a few thoughts, first, Liara is not necessarily aged by centuries, I really don't think they kill off all the beloved characters by time jumping that far ahead, die hard fans would likely be very unhappy. I think the wrinkles on Liara are just smile lines, she does not strike me as being as old as her mother was in ME2. Another thought, Amazon is working on the Mass Effect series, so might the series and game come out around the same time? I think so, I'm guessing 2027 or 2028. Just my thoughts.
1. Dead bodies throughout Minrathous strung up and bodies in carts surrounded by flies. 2. Johanna Hezenkoss having her hand cut off to help the Venatori. 3. Blood flowing out of wrists in one of Neve's missions. 4. Dead bodies impaled or wrapped in blight at Archon's palace. 5. A Halla getting its bones crushed while screaming. 6. A dead Halla being consumed by a Darkspawn. 7. A whole town sacrificed all because the Mayor wanted gold. Sure it's "Disneyfied" and "Pixarfied", sure. Sarcasm.
I kinda wanna see a reverse human story. Where humans are apart of the established galactic community and an upstart new species is trying to take away power from humans and etc. a nice contrast to see
@@bluetwinkiesaregoodperhaps, but BioWare is known for something else historically. Play their older games and you will see. Those times are gone though. Studio should just rebrand under a different name at this point.
@@bluetwinkiesaregoodthe game itself was catered to new players who never played a dragon age game and it completely neglected anyone who played the entire franchise I have no faith in BioWare as they can’t seem to understand what made them popular in the first place
yeah ea will close bioware anyway. Their last 3 games flopped and didn't made profit. Mass effect 5 is guaranteed to not interest most people and to flop even harder than da4. All because bioware are cattering to less than 10% of the general gaming audience. They did it to themselves. This content creator is just delusionnal about them still having a chance. They lost people's trust for good. Da4 was their last chance
@@CBonduMiel I’m not totally sure they’ll close before then. Obviously Veilguard wasent received well by a majority of people but I think it probably sold well enough to delay the studio closure. It’s similar to Andromeda. Andromeda was received very poorly but it did sell relatively well. I think Veilguard’s sales were enough to convince them to wait until Mass Effect 5 is done but they will likely have a rough time with pre order sales since you’ll see more people waiting for reviews first. Personally, like a lot of people now, I have absolutely no faith in the next mass effect. Veilguard was an opportunity to show that they knew the mistakes Andromeda and Inquisition made (I like DAI but it did have issues) and fix them but they didn’t and actually exasperated some of them too.
I cant see any way which Bioware does a good job with ME5, they have put out 3 bad games in a row now, I hope EA shuts this down and spares us the indignity.
I DON'T LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY WENT SO FAR INTO THE FUTURE BECAUSE I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS DID JAMES VEGA GET HIS OWN SHIP, DID ASHLEY WILLIAMS GET HER OWN SHIP, WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE KROGANS, IS THE QUARIANS FINALLY LIVING WITHOUT THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL SUITS AND EVERYTHING ELSE
I SERIOUSLY WISH THEY WOULD START THE NEW MASS EFFECT GAME EXACTLY WHERE IT LEFT OFF WHEN THE NORMANDY WAS REPAIRED AND LEFT THAT PLANET THEY CRASHED ON
When I saw what they did to Alec Ryder, I was like: Seriously nobody at Bioware thought that this guy would have been the next Shepard and was in fact the best character in Andromeda? But nooooo, we had to play with bunch of teenagers which turned the whole thing into one big joke. Crazy.
They should span the story into two parts, part 1 you play as an N7 operative trying to find Shepard with Liara and a new team. chapter 2 should be when you take over shepard and thats when the game becomes completely different as you change from one to the other.
After completing starfield I realized how much I need a new mass effect game in my life. If they're looking for a guarenteed success then a prequel before the mass effect trilogy would probably be the safest bet. Young Sheppard? What could go wrong. Lol
ALSO I SERIOUSLY HOPE THAT BIOWARE MAKES A MASS EFFECT GAME THAT'S ALL ABOUT THE FIRST CONTACT WAR WITH THE TURIANS LIKE A ( PRE-MASS EFFECT 1 GAME BEFORE THE HUMANS MET THE OTHER RACES IN THE GALAXY
Gotta be honest Jackdaw. As much as I love both franchises, after Veilguard I am not too confident about the next ME game. BioWare told us a lot of things about Veilguard too that turned out to be not the case. My trust in their statements are at an all time low sadly. There is still a small part of me that is hoping they knock it out of the park, but again, my confident is real low going into this one. I really hope I am wrong.🫤 Please keeping doing what you do though and thanks for keeping us informed❤
Andromeda and Veilguard were mirror versions of each other, neither had urgency, neither had real drama, both set aside petty dislikes in face of the greater threat and both acted like the threat was that common evil alchemist on crack and both suffered the tug of war effect in development or too many cooks in the kitchen. So my hope is that ME5 has it's crap together at this point. Old BioWare departed like The Clash clash after their first mall punk album, they couldn't stand working with the new team.
I’ve recently been playing the KOTOR games and Jade Empire. Makes me realize the stark contrast in writing. And I realized the difference. They used to be willing to take risks. Risks in topics explored, risks in offending people, and so on. That’s what the sanitation is. And in so doing, they made a game where it’s like “yea I wanted to know where the story goes next and I did learn that” but beyond that…idk
What I liked about DATV The state of the game. You could play it on the first day without a patch and with 60 FPS on console which is really unusual for an EA game. What I dislike about DATV The tone, for 1 moment it seems like for adults and the next it seems like it its made for 6 years old. Yeah I know that Bioware always had silly moments but in DATV it was just weird. Its the end of the world in Ferelden but hey lets go camping. What I want is to play as a badass, to be cruel or evil .... like let me roleplay because you know it is a RPG ...
This is a Relay destroyed by the energy of the Crucible. When we see it, the sounds of the battle with the Reapers in ME3 can be heard in the background. There are two rings visible in this Relay. One ring inside the other ring. When the Relay is working, these rings spin

I can say I'm not looking forward to ME 5. After the crap show that was Veilguard - a game that is decent and has replay value but plays and sounds like a game that happened to be set in the DA Universe but with a ME soundtrack and failed to really establish itself as a Dragon Age game - I'm not sure we can afford to put any amount of trust in Bioware.
I'm hoping the writing is better. I trust that studio to make a fun action-combat game as they've proven it with Veilguard. My problem with DAV was the writing, story beats were good but when it comes down to the inner-workings of companion convos and minute details...it just doesn't compare. The term "HR is in the room" is appropriately accurate. That being said, I'm not looking for insanely crazy dialogue or over the top offensive shit or whatever, but DA:O had a level of maturity as well as world-building accurate horror stories. I do like the idea of the N7 figure being the antagonist, and I think its a good way to help build up the next "Shepard" so to say. I'm not confident about it honestly, so it's just a "well, I'll wait and see."
Modern game development is garbage to say the least BioWare shipped 4 top quality rpgs in 2007-2013 which was 6 years now they can barely launch a single mediocre rpg in the same time frame.
Everything we know includes the entirety of every little drip of the game existing apparently, and not really the game. Must really need content right lol
I want that protagonist of Mass Effect 5 to be Shepard's child with our romance during Mass Effect original trilogy or their descendant, if they need to make big time skip. Shepard frozen in some kind of criogenesis is also good idea.
Although it might be copium I actually think because of that « redacted » info they teased on liara when describing her for the game that « redacted » might be « mom/mother » and that regardless of if we romanced Shepard or not we will be liara’s human adopted son/daughter but if we romanced liara as Shepard the new protagonist might have an actual older asari sister that is biologically shepards daughter with liara that would be really cool imo
I think the N7 lady is the daughter of Shepard, I think her face is hidden with the helmet for hide her origin, she can be half human half asari or totally human depending with the lady you have a romance in mass effect 3, you can choose this at the beginning of the game
I will never understand why they seem so adverse in allowing the player to pick a different species to play as. I’m not even asking for anything crazy like Krogan. Maybe just add the option to be Asari or Turians. They showed they can do it with 3 and Andromeda’s Multiplayer modes. That would be a good way to get out of the Shepard comparisons that people did with Ryder in Andromeda. I know that’s never going to happen so I just hope that this new protag will have better dialogue than the cringe fest Ryder and Rook had.
Because the developers have said many times that the story of Mass Effect is the story of humanity and that is why they always make only a human protagonist
Asari are doable since they have human facial structure, but everything else would probably be too expensive and difficult with the character creator. Dragon Age can get away with it because all the races have basically human faces with a few tweaks. Stick a couple different skeletons as a baseline and the character creator works just as well for everything as it does with humans. They’d have to have totally different character creators for each other race is Mass Effect, with the struggle of giving enough options for each person’s character to look distinct from NPCs or other players. Plus the voices would have to be different.
Somehow notifications were turned off but here we are within 2 minutes of it being posted. At some point we all grow a mass effect or dragon age detector. I think veilguard having a lot of companion convos that weren't just us listening in was a lot of fun and the fact we got to interact with the world and them in smaller scenes added a lot onto it. ME3 had that a little bit and especially in the citadel DLC, but it would be fun to see that. Ofc I do hope to see my shepard again, be it in the shape of that stupid V.I that got created, someone who's inspired by their story or that but I don't think bringing them fully back is gonna be the right course of action - maybe they can hint at shepard surviving the relay exsplosion but the 3 games was about "the hero who became a legend". Shepard being around those supposed 600 years after (most) of who they loved being gone would kinda ruin that - they are better represented via the longlived companions like wrex, grunt etc.
There are two games that I was waiting for both games of the franchises or my top five free for games of all time now one of them was dragon age the Veilguard, no I was excited to play this game but when I did I was disappointed because it doesn't even feel like a dragon age game it's the worst game not only in the franchise but this past year, no we know that Bioware said that they're not going to even do any DLCs for the new dragon age game that the next focus is the next game I'm looking forward to play which is The next Mass effect game, I have no faith that they're going to make Mass effect a really good game, it's the same people that worked on the latest dragon age game, I thought of to myself whatever happened to bioware?? They made really good games in the past like the original trilogy of Mass effect and the original dragon age game origins who is a classic game but then I found out that Bioware doesn't have the same people All the people that made the old games that we love left... But we find out that some of the developers actually started their own company and I think one of them is called Archetype Entertainment, for which their game Exodus is coming out I think this year but if you watch the trailer and the gameplay of Exodus you get the Mass effect vibe it's a game that's going to give you choices companions romance options and it seems like a good story,
I appreciate so much your dedication and you have holded the caddle for dragon age for so long. But as long Bioware doesn't admit that Veilguard is borderline a failure - i trust them not and actually i don't care for them anymore (I am just very angry). I did NOT like veilguard and it was brain dead in so many moments that it feels loveless and it infuriates me (the good moments were too little and too weak). Bioware is dead - because they don't admit the failure, they can't be trusted. If they manage to pull a good mass effect 5 it should be from matty anything above 9 - enough with the excuses and whoever partici[pated in veilguard is a culprit to a crime.
I hope Bioware gets shut down before they destroy the Mass Effect franchise like they destroyed Dragon Age with Failguard. Andromeda has done enough damage. Come on EA, do your thing!
IT'S NOT COOL FOR BIOWARE TO START THE NEW MASS EFFECT GAME 600 YEARS AFTER EVERYONE IS DEAD AND GONE. IT'S NOT RIGHT I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS AND WHAT THEY DID AFTER THE WAR WITH THE REAPERS
Uh Jackdaw I just looked at the picture it doesn't look anything like the Normandy it is shaped more like the tempest from Andromeda the Normandy is of sleeker design also the tempest is smaller than the Normandy the Normandy is large and can thus house a gun in it hull but the tempest is smaller and thus any attempt to arm it would mean the entire crew would be vaporized inside.
If the *Destroy Ending* is made canon then I have no reason to play ME5. I've never played the trilogy that way and ME5 would be an alternate universe with no ties to my Shepard.
@napstablook3935 the incongruity of story would be a serious barrier for me. I loved that Mass Effect let me play it my way. Canonizing the Perfect Destroy ending would mean there was a "proper" way to play the trilogy, which defeats the entire point.
Feel like im one of the few who liked andromeda. It was rushed out and needed a lot of polish but was good over all but got screwed over by the usual busissness side of the game industry. Just hoping EA doesnt do ehat it always does, but not holding my breath
Not every Shepard had a relationship with Liara, man. Some of our Shepards didn't have any relationship, whatsoever, because the only characters they had plausible chemistry with were gender-locked away from them.
@ Aside from it not making sense how human/turian body mechanics or even kissing would happen… 🙂 He honestly just came across as too emotionally hot-headed for my Shepard. She was a ruthlessly pragmatic military type and him getting hot for breaking rules annoyed her. Was a great friend, however.
The veil guard showed that BioWare is incapable of writing a decent story and characters, they’ll butcher ME, the franchise needs to be given to a different studio
Blame the fact that Veilguard went through development Hell, and Project Joplin was scrapped. I enjoy Veilguard despite its flaws like Taash, but the game REALLY would have been something if they went with Project Joplin.
@@sonnenblumefrau2048 so because it went thru development hell it’s not biowares fault? If you like the game that’s cool sure there’s plenty of games I like u probably don’t. But previous dragon age games sounds like we have something in common. Taash is but one problem with veil guard , the game imo is the worse DA game and possibly the worst written BioWare game
Ryder could make a decent protagonist. They are similar age at the end of andromeda as Shepard when the trilogy starts, so they have room to mature and grow. I think the main issue with Ryder is that they somehow dont evolve throughout the story. You can see that Shepard gets hardened by all the events throughout the trilogy, and Ryder has accomplished a lot as well, but it doesnt reflect on them. I would also rather get Ryder again than risk having someone new and even more uninspiring. Shepard is hard to top, maybe they shouldnt even try.
Hoping for a new protagonist. A big time skip to change tech and galactic politics is surely the best way forward. Also if they have to include andromeda I hope they introduce more interesting aliens/threats from there. The existing ones were pretty dull.
We already had a new protagonist. Andromeda failed, the franchise was frozen until 2019, the DLC was cancelled, the sequel was cancelled... It's time to return to the hero who made Mass Effect famous
One thing has gone mostly unnoticed here is that veilguards’s mass effect armor is called “Shephard” directly hinting at who it belongs to, maybe not the original Shepard like some clone or cybernetic but Shepard nonetheless, as long as it’s an epic game I can wait for it, long awaited games like bg3 and cyberpunk have paid off, but then again veilguard also took a long time and we saw how that went, hopefully they’ve put some thoughts behind this project and will perform like a mass effect game should 🤞🏻
The thought that crossed my mind 8s if they wanted to combine the mass effect trilogy and Andromeda the best way I could see that happening would be to have the character that we see a protagonist but maybe not the main one and have the antagonist be something we encountered in the Andromeda galaxy either the kett or the roakaar though the kett would be the better idea because that would be more upsetting to the citadel counsel because they are just now recovering from the life and death struggle against the reapers and now comes a race that wants to assimilated them turning all the races into the villain's race which would be upsetting for anyone and so the team from Andromeda and the protagonist from that trailer have to join forces with liara and a whole new team and fight and destroy that antagonist once and for all
Giving Bioware a final chance. Dragon Age i never cared about, Mass Effect i do. I think it will be out by 2027 the latest. As for story hm.. the Leviathans are still out there. With the Reapers dead i dont think they will keep hiding. While few they are powerful and they see themselves as gods. While the rest of the species have been rebuilding they gotta make their move. Hope the Gamble guy makes a game for ME fans, not modern audiences.
I hated every single detail about Vail guard and all I really want from mass effect 4 is 1 last story about the shepherd So we can finally get closure on the ending of 3 And I won't give bioware any money for anything less.
I have one request for ME 5. Please let me throw Liara out the airlock! This is Mass Effect not The Liara Chronicles. I don't understand how I love Harding and loathe Liara at the same time.
Honestly MEA was never finished. It was rushed & extremely short for the most part then we actually lost one of the main developers to this game. So I’m sure, they really don’t have a choice but to grinding this game out at this point. Which they should just make it right & finish it like they should. It was too short almost as if only 50% of the game was complete. Story lines had potential but I expected more way more. Bottom line this game was too short and really didn’t make any sense towards the end. DA really messed this game up,( I meant dragon age developers) because they put more focus to that, which really didn’t live up to its standards. As In ME1,2,3 they live and exceeded it expectations. Dragon Age can’t & wont Topple ME 1,2, or 3. Sooo (BioWare need to it pick your MVP & stick with it and go all out.
Please hire outside proven writers and plot out the future of the serires while you're at it. Alexis Kennedy is my choice, I'd love a return to the eldritch horror of ME 1. And please, please, please, don't cut queer and no binary stuff due to the backlash of 5. Taash was great. Harding was great. The party was great, even if their tone didn't always match events happening in veilguard. Also for the love of all the gods above and below please do a few script possess with a thesarus I'm begging you. Please. And please make each game self contained narratives like da 4 (or bg3 or 2077), its clear extended stories across multiple games do not work. That said there was a lot of fun combat in da4 (and Andromeda) it just lacked depth. We need more weapons, upgrades to move sets, and far more enemy variety. Go play Vanquish and give us something like that with a lot of choice and consequence mixed with Sci fi eldritch horror and star treck inspired politics. Do that and you'll have soemthing special.
I don't get the feel for everyone to call it Mass Effect 5, simply it isn't. Andromeda like it or not is not a numbered entry which puts it in the spin off. Though in regards to the next Mass Effect I am starting to feel that it is going to be way to long that it will be no longer relevant. Bioware have stated that it won't be released until around 2029. If that is true it be 12 years since Andromeda release and there isn't the hype around this game. With the overhaul view of Andromeda & Veilguard been flops by gaming community at large does not give me much hope which I love to be proved wrong but with everyone wanting different things from the game I don't see it doing well.

It's not a competition.
I need BioWare to get a better writing team. I don’t need the dragon age writing team touching anything mass effect
its a different team
After DAV, I expect Conrad Verner to be the new Spectre.
Ya and thats still a better idea than anything theyd come up with, he could be reredeemed/ Lazarused, i dont remember if he dies
They could also go the "simulacrum" way of Titanfall/Apex Legends; where some people have their minds uploaded to a robot, like GitS.
you know what? I like your story way more than what these current " writers "are going to write .... bioware is dead
andrmeda was a corpse walking
anthem was a soul departing the world
DAV ......
I think they hinted to a more mature story line to further distance ME5 from DAV. This was brought up in an interview mainly about DAV.
DA was supposed to be a grim dark game so I have no idea what a mature story line means for them. Don't get yourself fooled.
I hope that the writing is more on the "show" not "tell" side unlike Veilguard which felt a bit like it was written by Basil Exposition.
Yeah, would totally depend on how far they are in development on ME5. If it began in 2023, could def see a '28 release happening.
Agreed. Just not seeing it like others are.
BioWare shit the bed with DAV so I have no hope for Mass effect to be done justice
After Veilguard, I expect this to be in the same note.
After how they Disney Pixar'd Dragon Age I have little to no faith left in BioWare.
Sarcasm.

yeah ea will close bioware anyway.
I'm fully expecting Failguard in space
Crazy.
Well.. If this is all we know about mass effect 5, how about mass effect 4?
Guessing that comes out, before 5, yeah? :D
Lol
I like the idea that our antagonist is the N7 opperative. It's fun to speculate!
ALSO I SERIOUSLY HOPE THAT BIOWARE MAKES A MASS EFFECT GAME THAT'S ALL ABOUT THE FIRST CONTACT WAR WITH THE TURIANS LIKE A ( PRE-MASS EFFECT 1 GAME BEFORE THE HUMANS MET THE OTHER RACES IN THE GALAXY
I just hope we have open world elements
Please god no - this is what Andromeda did and look how that turned out.
Another franchise to destroy ?
Gotta be honest Jackdaw. As much as I love both franchises, after Veilguard I am not too confident about the next ME game.
BioWare told us a lot of things about Veilguard too that turned out to be not the case. My trust in their statements are at an all time low sadly.
There is still a small part of me that is hoping they knock it out of the park, but again, my confident is real low going into this one.
I really hope I am wrong.🫤
Please keeping doing what you do though and thanks for keeping us informed❤
We believe that when we see it NO DEI or SBI
What I liked about DATV
The state of the game. You could play it on the first day without a patch and with 60 FPS on console which is really unusual for an EA game.
What I dislike about DATV
The tone, for 1 moment it seems like for adults and the next it seems like it its made for 6 years old. Yeah I know that Bioware always had silly moments but in DATV it was just weird. Its the end of the world in Ferelden but hey lets go camping.
What I want is to play as a badass, to be cruel or evil .... like let me roleplay because you know it is a RPG ...

I just hope it has mostly the same characters from 1-3.
Not very high expectations with this one. I'm curious about how it will be, though. Fingers crossed
I have only fear…Fear they will bury another IP I love like they did with dragon age
super hyped to get to this - AND unpopular opinion - I wish Andromeda had more time to tell its story, I loved the gameplay mechanics !!
And what about players who didn't romance anyone?
@deepvoicedude4749 Good question.
That would only work if it was BroShep romancing Liara, Ashley or Jack
@ With some effort, it could work with FemShep, too.
Honestly after what they did to Dragon age I have zero faith in BioWare to not screw it up unfortunately.
It's an extra clone illusive man created on the side.
But we find out that some of the developers actually started their own company and I think one of them is called Archetype Entertainment, for which their game Exodus is coming out I think this year but if you watch the trailer and the gameplay of Exodus you get the Mass effect vibe it's a game that's going to give you choices companions romance options and it seems like a good story,
I want to see jaal and sara ryder again
I want to see the normandy sr2 return or at least see its fate
Is it really coming out this year? I would probably bet not.
Hi, Jack! I know it would never happen, but I would love to see Mass Effect and Dragon Age in the Decima game engine. 🤯
I highly doubt this game will ever come out now, BioWare is on the chopping block and rightfully so.

I fell so cheated by Lameguard that I vow to not buy Mass Effect 5 but pirate it
Uh Jackdaw I just looked at the picture it doesn't look anything like the Normandy it is shaped more like the tempest from Andromeda the Normandy is of sleeker design also the tempest is smaller than the Normandy the Normandy is large and can thus house a gun in it hull but the tempest is smaller and thus any attempt to arm it would mean the entire crew would be vaporized inside.
Retcon all of andromeda and let’s pretend ME ended on ME3
I just wanna romance Garrus again
If the *Destroy Ending* is made canon then I have no reason to play ME5. I've never played the trilogy that way and ME5 would be an alternate universe with no ties to my Shepard.
if its a enjoyable, well-made game its still worth it tho, thats the point of video games at the end of the day: having fun.
@napstablook3935 the incongruity of story would be a serious barrier for me. I loved that Mass Effect let me play it my way. Canonizing the Perfect Destroy ending would mean there was a "proper" way to play the trilogy, which defeats the entire point.
The destroy ending is weak and lame.
Feel like im one of the few who liked andromeda. It was rushed out and needed a lot of polish but was good over all but got screwed over by the usual busissness side of the game industry. Just hoping EA doesnt do ehat it always does, but not holding my breath
Shepard and miranda lawson please
Not every Shepard had a relationship with Liara, man.
Some of our Shepards didn't have any relationship, whatsoever, because the only characters they had plausible chemistry with were gender-locked away from them.
My Shepard always romanced Garrus.
@ Aside from it not making sense how human/turian body mechanics or even kissing would happen… 🙂 He honestly just came across as too emotionally hot-headed for my Shepard. She was a ruthlessly pragmatic military type and him getting hot for breaking rules annoyed her.

@martinbernath Why outdo Shepard when they can bring him back as the protagonist?
Hoping for a new protagonist. A big time skip to change tech and galactic politics is surely the best way forward.
Also if they have to include andromeda I hope they introduce more interesting aliens/threats from there. The existing ones were pretty dull.
We already had a new protagonist. Andromeda failed, the franchise was frozen until 2019, the DLC was cancelled, the sequel was cancelled...
It's time to return to the hero who made Mass Effect famous
every day i pray for at least one modern rpg that doesnt have another dime a dozen chosen one saves the world plotline
One thing has gone mostly unnoticed here is that veilguards’s mass effect armor is called “Shephard” directly hinting at who it belongs to, maybe not the original Shepard like some clone or cybernetic but Shepard nonetheless, as long as it’s an epic game I can wait for it, long awaited games like bg3 and cyberpunk have paid off, but then again veilguard also took a long time and we saw how that went, hopefully they’ve put some thoughts behind this project and will perform like a mass effect game should 🤞🏻
Bioware has a lot to prove and make up. For now distrust
Anthem was really fun, i loved it. Shame it didn't go further.
Yea, bioware is not what it used to be. I am not looking forward to having my favorite series ruined like they destroyed dragon age. What a joke.
The thought that crossed my mind 8s if they wanted to combine the mass effect trilogy and Andromeda the best way I could see that happening would be to have the character that we see a protagonist but maybe not the main one and have the antagonist be something we encountered in the Andromeda galaxy either the kett or the roakaar though the kett would be the better idea because that would be more upsetting to the citadel counsel because they are just now recovering from the life and death struggle against the reapers and now comes a race that wants to assimilated them turning all the races into the villain's race which would be upsetting for anyone and so the team from Andromeda and the protagonist from that trailer have to join forces with liara and a whole new team and fight and destroy that antagonist once and for all
I would love to see Shepard and Ryder teaming up.
Ryder was boring, no thanks.

I'm on board with bringing Shepherd back for at least one more at least to tie up some loose ends
It’s going to be a non binary star system
I hated every single detail about Vail guard and all I really want from mass effect 4 is 1 last story about the shepherd So we can finally get closure on the ending of 3 And I won't give bioware any money for anything less.
That would be a horrible idea. Don't dig up the corpse of a good character that had a solid arc just for fan nostalgia.

@@Sardi7856uh no, yes the game was diverse but you clearly don’t know the definition of DEI, the original trilogy allowed you to choose. @alpha6617 At the time of its release, fox news launched a news campaign to get the Queer OPTIONAL romance, not REQUIRED romance, removed from the game, and succeeded for many of the characters in ME2 including Jack and Miranda. If u have a problem with DEI, i can guess which side of that ur on. Equality only feels lik a problem when youve never had to live without it. Hope that helps
This will most likely be a dud
At least most people will get the ending they’d want which is Shepards happy ending
