I hadn't realized that mix had changed, until that bassline hit my conciousness @ 27 minutes (Iori - Lapis 1). This ain't dub techno! But it sounds so awesome. I love your mixes, and this in particular!
I see you're drawing a distinction between "Reactor _Room_" and "Reactor _Core_". Does this mean the "Reactor Room" moniker has been deprecated? Are you moving from dub techno to something more melodic? Awesome tunes, btw---keep up the excellent, amazing, and inspired work.
Reactor Room will still be continued :D main reason behind this 'core' set is to showcase some of the deeper tone i've stumbled upon during RR journey (the genre is quite convoluted, which makes it even more interesting) it's more like an offspring rather than moving on to another style; much like the first RR set, i was mixing halfstep track before then, that's when i first heard dub chord. i got addicted to those deep stabs, and my search eventually led me to dub techno :)
it's a loose term i use to separate this from the regular dub techno series i'm uploading. this also has some dub techno in it, but the overall vibes are more cryptic and industrial-deep as oppose to chill grooves. still trying to wrap my head around the techno genre though :D
+Adam White I think the dark ambient intro is appropriate and sets the atmosphere. Although I also like ambient outros maybe a little more in general. Lapsis 1 really brought out the best of this deep, dark techno mix. Definitely subscribed +f1rstpers0n!
This sounds very metallic. Not Heavy Metal music metallic but very gears grinding and pistons whirring and incubators buzzing kind of machinery metallic. Very audibly disconcerting.
