On TDF Unchained Thibault said something along the lines "the French love me more than I have talent" (I know I'm not getting that quite right). He was down on himself as he felt he'd underperformed. Made me sad. I hope he gets top 10, then he can go back to the farm and the animals :)
These two hilly stages over the last three days will have taken it out of alot riders. I wouldn't be surprised to see some shocks on tomorrow's final climb.
I’ve been saying this all Tour, there’s so much climbing this year, even when it’s not a typical GC mountain stage, the hills are certainly wearing everyone down, and there’s at least a couple of the GC favourites that have been racing a little too hard in the hilly stages for little benefit. Certainly has made for an interesting race so far this year.
Cofidis, man! What a team! 💪It's like, your long-lost brother comes back home, in style. And Jonny, go thank your brother Guillaume, he's the real genius, who kept all the vultures away.
On a stage routed through famous wine country clearly designed by someone who’d consumed a few bottles I half expected Pinot to deliver a vintage performance
As always, Rob Hatch's announcing is the best! Also, I am still learning about the many rules in cycling racing. For instance, Vingegaard now holds the yellow jersey. If by chance he had one today's stage, what jersey would he wear tomorrow? Or is this a dumb question?
Yellow jersey goes to the one with the least cumulative time. It doesn't depend on whether they win or not. But winning does help to lower your cumulative time simply by having the least time on that stage and having the bonus seconds shaved off your time.
"As always, Rob Hatch's announcing is the best!" Is it? Him calling Philipsen "Philipse" or Jakobsen "Jakobse" or butchering every non-latin name is anything but "the best"
@@hughjanus7354 Given he must pronounce the names of many different nationalities, he might get some wrong on occasion. I give him the benefit of the doubt that he is doing the best he can, and with so much going on, he has lots to keep up with. Thank you for your comment.
Citroen pulling ridiculous instead of attacking with breakaways since day 1 and Ineos Defending the 7th positions. The top 10 contender teams are just happy for the 6th or 7th seed and do nothing waiting to get hammered on the final climb? They should attack day in and day out trying to beat the top 2.

Hoping for some interest tomorrow as the last 2 weeks have been boring as shite. The GC just rolling in together as if on some kind of holiday across France - West to East and no way near a Tour of France. Even the presenters are struggling to hide their lack of interest now...
Again men’s racing shows itself to be boring when compared to women’s cycling. The two top GC riders did not even come into the top ten. Where is their desire to simply win? Where is their competitive spirit when they simply sit back to protect their GC standing? So far I’m unimpressed with either of them.
As to be the most boring, low standard and uneventful tour I have ever watched. Say what people want to...no one has replaced Armsrong or the other class riders since they all finished.

Yeah, he then said he wished it was the other way around. Having more talent at the cost of having less love from the French
Amazing scenes for Cofidis, love the emotion from Izaguirre and the team! Well done!
Lovely finish! Always great when the breakaway takes it, love to see riders other than the biggest names of the race make the stage.

Pogacar is gassed, Vingegaard is going to drop him tomorrow. Believe it.

Excellent stage, good coverage guys, keep them coming!
Shout out to Look bikes. No gimmicky nonsense or wonky designs; just elegant, beautiful bikes and they have two stages.
