Hi Mary, So lovely being back with you! Honestly, just choosing one of the meats is perfect. Just the seafood or just the sausage makes a scrumptious meal. If I could film all over again I would have shown making a simple last minute garlic butter to pour over the seafood. 😋
YUM! I am always so inspired by your hospitality, your recipes, and your gorgeous table scapes. And I LOVE the dress, too! Lisa, thank you so much for your relaxing and inspiring encouragement! 🩷🌷 🍽️🍷☕️🫖🍨
So glad to have you back Lisa!! During your absence missed spending time with you. Hope you are renewed with the summer get-a-ways, Great menu/ recipe, & table decorating hints in this Hospitality segment. May you have many upcoming routine Lifestyle segments, as so many of us enjoy you sharing. Good to See & Hear from you.😊Thank You!!
Such kind sentiments Carol, thank you! I am catching my breath, being refreshed and getting excited about some new segments coming up. I so appreciate your encouragement! 🩷
Lovely video! I learned a trick for microwaving corn: don't peel it, just score the top all the way down to the corn (through all the layers of leaves). When it's cooked, you can easily remove everything, including the silk, with no need for paper or water.
Love "cornmeal" grits! Great idea for quick summer dinner. We too have some "icebreakers" and one question that is a lot of fun is, "What is your most "Funny, embarrassing moment"? (that can be shared in mixed company, of course). ❤from GA
That’s a great icebreaker! 😆 I’m guessing in Georgia real grits are ground from hominy ?! I lived in St. Louis for a few years, long ago, and was introduced to foods like cheesy grits, (roasted) chestnuts and gooey butter cake. 😋
Lovely to see you, Lisa! Thank you for such a great meal idea…fresh corn added to the grits is a wonderful idea. Be well and enjoy the remaining days of Summer!🌞🌸🌿
What a beautiful presentation! Not overly complicated and still yummy-looking! Is the red pepper sausage very spicy? Also, those were regular yellow grits, not stoneground? You look so lovely Lisa and I love your dress!
Hi! The red pepper sausage weren’t spicy in the least, which surprised me. The grits are stoneground, organic, non GMO. (I put the link in the description box.) They are so good! I prefer just the sausage or just the seafood, as each is a stand alone flavor. I’ve been keeping the cooked grits and roasted veg in the fridge and any of the meats make for a super quick healthy delish lunch! Thank you ☺️!! Xo
My mouth is watering!!!! The keto guest could have their protein in a bowl with a simple salad you make ahead in a bowl. Do you have any suggestions for a simple sauce that could work with polenta? I love the way you show each step, and make it look so attainable for regular cooks like me.
Hi Dear Liane, I’ve missed you! Great question and yes, for the seafood I gently sautéed minced garlic in butter with a splash of chicken stock and a sprinkle of salt and pepper, letting it reduce before pouring over the top. (A bit of tomato paste could be added in as well, for a pink sauce.) The sausage and grits were perfectly seasoned without anything. 😋
an alternate way to cook corn is to microwave it for about one and a half minute a piece, grab hold of them with an oven glove, cut of about an inch and a half of the stem/top and cut it off. pull and twist from the bottom of the silk and it will all come off cleanly
Though I read/ saw you were back on your channel; its been at least a month since I saw your most recent video = PLanning an Easy Summer Dinner Party. Are you, Tommy and your family okay? After a previous absence, I thought you had come back,.but now I keep checking and see no videos or personal updates about your plans. Can you share with us faithful followers your status/ plans? Thank you, I hope your plans are to resume a routine schedule of videos. You are missed and appreciated.

Thank you Dear Marla!! ❤
This really was a pleasure. Thank you.
The meal and the table scape were beautiful! Love visiting your home. 💐🏠
Thanks so much! 😊
I also make an affogatto... vanilla or coffee ice cream, a shot of espresso and Khakula! So simple , so delicious and a pretty presentation.
Great ideas! Kahlua would be a fabulous addition. Several liqueur’s come to mind - it might be fun to put them out for guests to create their own.
Love this menu❤ Delicious, diverse, and something for everyone ❤ It’s so lovely to have you back ❤
Thank you Lisa, much appreciated ! 😊
So so good to C U back! That was a lovely way to entertain, not a lot of fuss is what makes it so possible. Happy Summer Lisa !🥂

This is a great idea and I’ve always wondered but never tried! Way more holistic and less steps! Thank you ☺️
Beautiful quick and easy delicious meal.
Thanks for your tips.
My pleasure 😊
