I've played for 60 years and watched 100's of videos on the one hand and two-hand backhand. None of them worked for me so I stayed with my crappy 1-hand BH. After my most recent tennis elbow, I gave the 2HBH one more try and watched your video. The visuals were very helpful (over the bridge ...) The most helpful for me was Lead with the Butt Cap because suddenly and for the first time my weak, inconsistent 2HBH had good direction and power. And yes, I noticed that's what I do with my forehand so the 2HBH is now similar to my forehand. Thank you Vincent aka Tennis Doctor. Nice work!

Very concise but in depth video about 2h bh biomechanics.
Love the common threads of the pros' slow mo shots which are very convincing and have powerful visual check points.
    Thank you, coach.

    - the racket head slightly closed
    - I hit under the ball for compresion

how do you feel about left hand being straight also?

pls check your left hand grip...you almost use a western grip to hit a double-hand backhand. and check your left shouder too. it should NOT be lower than your right shoulder during hitting.

Hot take with "scientifically proven" left hand driving the backhand. I have heard many professionals teach that the two handed backhand is driven mainly by the right hand which is why students are taught to release their hands at contact and allow the right hand to finish the swing. I would love to hear the counter argument to this method.

What is recommended grip as I find this dictates the racket face angle before racket drop etc.
    Thank you

Usually with a double backhand the dominant (forehand) is on the continental grip while the non-dominant hand is on the eastern grip but some slightly below semi wester grip

Considering it akin to a left-handed forehand - doesn't this create too big a RoM through the slot, and a premature shoulder rotation?

I compare the two hander, is like hitting a baseball left handed. Great job on the video my friend.

Do you have a source as to where it was "scientifically proven" that the left arm drives the swing?

Just try both and feel it yourself. If you observe the palm and wrist structure, the conclusion is very clear

It's the same source where it was "scientifically proven" that the vaxx is safe and effective.

Aside from that it is obviously true, the question is interesting. Because I did my teaching exam in Austria in 1994 and the head instructor, who was rather the academic type, said that this was studied ( sensors, video…). None of the two-Handers in class disagreed on that. If sports academia has not changed much it might be a quite old study everyone is referring to.

According to this way of opening the racket , it will be difficult to hit the ball high

    • @tamton6162
      @tamton6162 Месяц назад

I think that if you use the new method ( i will send the video if you want ) then you will be easy to hit high ball
