Yah definitely helps to have multiple pups dispersed on the map. Got Dynasty with a 9y elderwolf and blood rival the following year. Have not had any departed pups return Yep elder wolf and ironwolf saves can't be save scummed. They autosave and you can only have 1 save. Most you can do is roll back to last autosave or hard save before something saves the game again Good to know about the pup roll probably won't unless there is another ach for x pups of z gender at den y kinsa irritation
I already got the Dynasty achievement before this video and i literally do this in the hard way by killing not just Rival Pack leader's mates but also dispersals. Suggestion for the next avhievement guide i would like to see how to get the "Late Bloomer" achievement because there's one thing that concerns me and that is your pups going to be at age 5 when your player wolf will be at age 8 and we all know what happends next when your wolf is at age 8 😅
In order to get Late Bloomer it will take several year cycles of playing. So far my wolf shown in this video is 7 and her oldest pup is 4, so I also worry that my wolf might die before she disperses. I'm not sure yet if it will still count if playing as one of the siblings. However, by playing as one of your "early" dispersed pups you can have your first litter as early as 1 years old which should completely prevent that issue, since you would be 7 and 5 in that case. The other "concern" when attempting this achievement is ensuring at least one of that first litter doesn't disperse. Females are less likely, so you might use this trick to "re-roll" that first litter until it is mostly girls. I suspect they are also less likely to disperse the fewer pups you have, but that one is hard to confirm. My oldest pup did try to disperse at 3 but after reloading to a few minutes prior, she didn't try again and is still with me. I'm pretty sure the game autosaves when they disperse so that trick wouldn't be usable on an ironwolf, though. I can definitely look at making a video explanation for this, but I'm not sure there is any particular method other than having that first litter as a yearling OR by joining a rival pack with a fresh 2-year-old that immediately puts you in "young hunters", so you would already have yearlings when you age up to 3.
@auginetic You know yesterday i was thinking to myself "What if i start as a 1-year old wolf instead of 2-year old? 🤔" Also about the your non-biological pups dispersing won't unlock the Late Bloomer achievement because it has to be specifically *your* pups same goes if your wolf dies and play one of your packmates it wouldn't unlock the achievement but there's ONE thing that i have been wondering what if you play as your *mate*? Surely the achievement will be unlocked it is because it is your mates biological pups. But again with the age but if you becamed mates with a wolf who was a yearling and you were a 2-year old a freshly new begginer wolf you will be at age 3 at your first litter and your yearling mate will be at age 2 same goes if you play as a yearling and find 2-year old mate does it make any logic or sense?
@Storm-ys2ix non-biological pups will still end up in your family tree and count for "late bloomer" as long as you joined before they turn 1 year old. I haven't completely tested it, but I don't think playing as your mate would count for adult pups that existed before you joined, because I did try joining a rival pack as an ironwolf, dying, and taking over the mate. Regenerating the family snapshot would still only put the "pups of the year" in the family tree
Hello, your third subscriber here, I also love wolfquest to an unhealthy degree.
You're also my first commenter!! Thank you, this made my day.
