I get this beautiful feeling of warmth and comfort from listening to this absolute masterpiece. I have never heard of any of these guys, and I have never felt more cheated.
I don’t know where to requests a song, but here it goes. A Night On The Town by The Deer Hunter. Long, but takes you on a journey. Worth the experience my friend. And the vocals and lyrics add a layer of awe. Thanks for all you do!
I saw Josh and Carson in Michigan, and they had it billed that Edwin was the opener. I tried to look them up, but there was nothing I could find. Turns out a couple of very talented brothers. They did a Q&A at the show, and I guess they knew someone who knows someone which is how they ended up opening at the show. I almost forgot about them entirely, and then Josh dropped this video, and I remembered how much I enjoyed this song in particular (Josh didn't feature on this one at the show).
It's so annoying when a word I know refuses to come to mind! This happens to me all the time. I know all these wonderful words, but in extemporaneous speech, my mind fails me. :(
Am I the only one who came here to say "White lines on pavement looking for something concrete is called 'extended metaphor', and it's vastly underutilized in many arts"?
Alliteration maybe you were thinking of? I’m a guitargate member same name under aol. Yeah I’m old af. Know zero theory and just beginning. Seems like a complete different language and I know 4 languages. Maybe I have a shot. Alliteration is what I think you’re fishing for but not the same thing. Said allegory which is why I say that. Alliteration is similar first letters. Foreshadowing with a hint of extended metaphor I believe is how I would explain that phrase with pavement white lines then cement. Although not a synonym implied metaphor as needing a hard surface to have solid ground.
Awesome as always. Great insights. Could I suggest an older performance for you to listen and analyze? John Mayer from 2007 Crossroads festival. m.ruclips.net/video/oNixUyXCt7w/видео.html Mayer is always superb, but for me this goes above and beyond in terms of performance, feel, dynamics, technicality etc… and in front of a huge crowd he makes this feel intimate like it could be in a small club with 25 of your best friends. I encourage you to check it out. Cheers and have a great day.
For me, this song exemplifies the importance of good production. This version is perfect, and hits just right. The studio version of this song? Just another song, completely uninspired. Again, just my opinion.
Wow. Incredible thoughtfulness and attention to detail. What a cool thing to watch about your own song. Thanks Michael! Really cool vid.
Thx brother! Really appreciate you. Excellent work and we all look forward to more!!
It’s called an extended metaphor - pavement, concrete etc with different metaphorical meanings that link
I heard a little 'Wicked Game' in there. Nice stuff.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing.
I keep waiting for them to tear into a rendition of Wicked Game.
Exactly the tune that came into mind after a few moments.
100%

Wow! I'm gonna dig into this! Be proud of your community Michael.
Based on the video description Josh did the engineering AND mixing. The guy does it all!
Oh my gosh. This sounds unbelievable! And so we’ll written and performed… holy cow. Thank you!
Adam nailed it on the head! Love all the wonderful music you have steered us too Michael! Keep it up!
Josh did all the mixing and recording!
What a great place to play as Michael said I bet it sounded great in there.

Yeah I'm gonna obsessed with this one for a while
Bonus points for the t-shirt. I’ve been a fan of Josh’s for years-a complete package as a musician. Keep up the great work, Michael.
Tyler Childers Space and Time
An acoustic guitar and a big room are the recipe for a good story
Yes, it is!
Great song and I loved that riff toward the end.

Where do I buy that shirt?!
Let’s talk about your shirt tho. Great.
Josh can’t be stopped
Love the tee!!
I heard that both Batio and Cooley see the fretboard as groups of LED lights.
Nice shirt!
Gives me Wicked Game Vibes.
juxtaposing the concrete thing
You have GOT to check out Run Away To Mars by TALK. Might not be the most technical guitar wise but I can’t stop listening to it since I heard it

Hey man, please check out "seventeen going under" by Sam Fender, he's a british artist and his music is just so good!
Big fan of him. Does great Springsteen covers!
@@mitchweiner he's said in interviews before that the boss is his biggest inspiration
@@MrXNITROx Thanks
Sounds like a mix between Little Big Town and Coldplay👌... Anybody else felt like that?😁
Michael, no insult intended, but I’m a True Crime buff and you look SO much like Ted Bundy with a guitar!
I really enjoy your channel!
You’ve hit Polyphia in the past. There’s no way you can ignore Ego Death Ft Steve Vai
Check out "Big Bad Love" Cody Lee Meece, another talented authentic Kentucky Artist that sounds like himself, potential to hit it big
love it
Please make a video on polyphia's new track Ego Death!
Michael, you have a unique tone, what amp/effects are you playing though?
Best way to start every Friday morning is to check Joshua Lee Turner's RUclips channel.
Who knew Tom Holland played guitar like that
Metaphor
Does anyone else get a wicked game vibe here
Metaphor?
Polyphia feat. Steve Vai ego death reaction coming to this channel?

Sounds a bit like Bruce.
I don't know what my favourite song is, but it's probably made by Motörhead.
"The Chase Is Better Than The Catch"? 😉😁

Again, just my opinion.
