Actually, the video you linked is an old animation from the original movie/project. Otherwhise, Yzma wouldn't look so different in comparison to how she is.

I also agree she works better as a mad scientist more than some kind of sorcerer, and I like that she has this style of 'fashion' to her without being obsessed with her looks (or rather, without being as obsessed as she would have if they kept this subplot in). I don't think it's wrong for a female villain to want to look beautiful, I mean essentially most generically "bad" villains are doing something super vain anyways (such as wanting power, beauty, wealth, whatever) which is what makes them a villain- that they'd do villainous and evil things in the pursuit of a wholly selfish and petty desire. Of course you could still say you'd prefer a female villain to go after something less 'gender defining', such as power over a nation, but don't male villains usually care about their looks just as much? Even when it's not particularly their 'beauty', they still want to look 'good' or 'cool' or whatever. I dunno, just my thoughts. Really great movie either way.
Maybe they could have made it where she used to be very good at manipulating people with her words and looks until they eventually faded. Left with only her intelligence she wants revenge on the people who once practically worshipped and "stole" her rightful throne.

My favorite part is how the chanting builds up at the end.

If I’m not mistaken, her assistants would’ve been 3 reanimated mummies named after aging musicians- Mick, Bowie, and another I can’t remember right now.
I love how this song was so catchy and awesome that not even Disney producers could bear to let it go to waste, including it on the Emperor’s New Groove soundtrack CD despite the song being nowhere in the film or having anything to do with its final plot. Major props to them for not just throwing it away into the Disney Vault for it to be lost for several decades.
I really ,really love Emperor's New Groove, but the original idea for the movie is super fascinating. Wish we could have got them both, but of course that would be impossible. Same characters with completely different storyline? Yeah, no.
If you think about it, Tangled is kind of like what the Kingdom of the Sun would've been like in conjunction with The Emperor's New Groove. Both feature villains that would do anything to maintain youth and have an association with the sun. Corona is basically the kingdom of the sun, based on its flag and how the Queen's life was saved. That and that both movies tried being dark and funny at the same time. They're not identical, obviously, but it's a funny comparison to make. :P
Zachary Lahana well actually in the finished movie yzma just wanted the throne and she turned kuzco to do this and she tried doing the same thing throughout the tv series except with different animals
Damn, never thought of it that way! I was just thinking the other day how if they were to do a live action remake of The Emperor's New Groove, they'd really be telling Kingdom of the Sun instead, but they'll still keep the funny moments from the final cut and keep the movie dark.
Since this song was going to be part of The Emperor's New Groove's original version Kingdom of the Sun, I would love to see what the musical sequence of this song would of been like.
Aw man I really want to see the Kingdom of the Sun now ... I enjoyed Emperor's New Groove, but I am a sucker for darker Disney movies.... And the plot was actually a good start imo.. maybe they just should have given the guy more time to polish it and we would have had a motherfucking epic inca disney movie.. ; v ;
I dunno, New Groove is way different than the finished product, maybe one day they'll tweak the original a bit more to get it away from New Groove and make it
They could have changed her motivation and still kept this song with only minor changes. They could have made Yzma power-hungry rather than vain, and she could have blacked out the sun, which the kingdom would have revered as a god, and then blamed it on Kuzco, who was really Pacha at this point in the movie due to the switch, and they could have ousted Kuzco/Pacha in favor of Yzma, who claimed to be able to use magic to bring the sun back. However, instead, she would have attempted to summon Supai in order to hold control of the sun as a weapon to manipulate the people of the kingdom and hold htem under her power, only to be thwarted by Kuzco and Pacha, who were now on the same page after having been changed for the better due to the switch. Pacha, being a pauper, would have been bad at ruling, which would make Yzma's claim seem more legitimate. Kuzco and Pacha would have met and switched at the beginning of the movie, and Yzma would have found out about it and taken advantage of it. Both would have a hard time and be humbled by the experience, learning and growing as characters. Bada bing bada boom, Kingdom of the Sun.
Maybe they could change her want for eternal youth into more of a pursuit of eternal power, like being able to rule the kingdom forever without any challenge rather than her motivation being vain and about beauty
They actually didn't (mainly) scrap it due to the darkness of the song, it was more that the last couple of musicals underperformed compared to the "Disney Expectation" and more comedic movies were doing really good so Disney (being the cash grabber they are) changed the movie so it would perform better in the box office.
It could also have all been metaphorical, with Kuzco being the sun, and her raising him or just him existing was what was aging her in a way and is overall just in the way of her ruling, thus her wanting to snuff out the light.
OK kids, time for a Disney history lesson. 'The Emperor's New Groove' was originally going to be a really dark and dramatic film, kind of like 'The Lion King', called 'Kingdom of the Sun'. In the original story: - Yzma was going to summon the Inca god of Death (I think), - Pacha was going to be a girl who falls in love with Kuzco - And Kuzco was almost going to be killed the the god, but was instead turned into a lama. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, the writers thought it would be to scary for kids, so they re-wrote most of the story line and changed the villain entirely. This caused the main writer to leave the project (with good reason.)
I personally like how the final product turned out. Yzma and Kronk are two of Disney's funniest characters for example. But man I would love to watch a film based on that original script.
You're mixing up Pacha and a different character. Pacha was a younger man who got mixed up with Kuzco in "Prince and the Pauper" style and became emperor when Kuzco turned into a llama.
I think that getting away from the super-dramatic animated musicals for a bit was good for Disney, and the resulting film in this case was a classic bit of comedy.
Let's see; Ursula got Poor Unfortunate Souls, Gaston got Gaston and the Mob Song, Dr. Facilier got Friends on the Other Side, Mother Gothel got Mother Knows Best, Jafar only has a reprise, Elsa has Let It Go s d she was originally supposed to be the villain of Frozen.
This song quite literally gives a reason as to why Yzma was Kuzco's advisor, she always planned to kill him, take over the empire, and use the empire's resources to discover eternal youth, like holy shit this adds layers to the movie that I wish actually existed.
Why this song would be better in the movie: 1) has good latino music traits (such as perfect world which, btw sounds much better in spanish) 2) Inti was the incan sun god, and the main god, a villain who wants to battle the core of icnan culture, so much badder, so much loveable. 3) The incan mummies were greatly sacred, with the mummies being brought out of the home and outside when important events such as wars, rituals and weddings happened, so the royal mortician makes SO much sense now. 4) HAVE YOU SEEN THE YZMA CONCEPT ART.
+tomas dominguez omg this song would fit soo well in this world. This movie would be good whether they stuck to the original idea or the amazing new one.
Well, except that peruvian music has nothing to do with salsa or afro-antillean music, which was mostly developed in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and other caribbean islands.
Kingdom of the Sun would have worked really well as a Kingdom Hearts world, I think. I love The Emperor's New Groove but I'm not sure if it could work.
Smug Sneasel uuuuhhhhh you do realize the old lady you were referring to in the original version was a sorceress who summoned out a god so it would be a mildly hard boss IMHO
This was actually a song from the original movie, The Kingdom of The Sun- but that movie turned into Emperor's New Groove. The first movie was actually going to focus on Yzma
Though I enjoy Emperor's New Groove if I were Eartha Kitt I would have been somewhat offended at what they'd taken away from this/MY character. This Yzma is the one factor I much prefer from Kingdom Of the Sun. Otherwise I enjoy both concepts. Such a fantastic performer was Eartha, she is missed.
This is amazingly good. In fact, this seems to be the best Disney villain song ever. It is not merely both scary and catchy - it is scary BECAUSE it is so catchy.
The best villain songs, I think, don't just talk about how evil the person is, they show character--no other person but that character could sing the song. And this illustrates Yzma's character perfectly. She isn't just a woman who wants political power, she wants to blot out the sun so that she can stay eternally beautiful. Now THAT is a badass villain, and no one could voice her but the late, great Eartha Kitt. RIP, Eartha. We love you.
i really wish they had made two versions of the emperors new groove. i would've loved to watch the darker version to it! i don't see why they didn't make it anyway, the story was so well written and they had done a lot of work on it and it would've been a very successful movie, like the original movie was. thank you tumblr for showing me the remnants of the first plot ideas of the emperors new groove
Easy answer. They did two movies with a similar more darker story with Pocahontas and hunchback of notre dame which didn't do so well financially in the cinema. So Disney reacted and took the setting from the original movie and structured it so that it would be a comedy.
Alas probably not more likely it would underperform when it was release and have become a cult classic later on like treasure planet so I can unfortunately understand the change tho wish this version existed but one can only wish huh
Because it wasn't deleted A whole movie was deleted, if you look at the lyrics you'll notice that has nothing to do with emperor's new groove, because this is a song about the movie "the empire of the sun" which was cancelled.
I would have loved to see this version come to light, forgive my ironic wording. But not at the cost of the film we ended up getting. Emperor's New Groove is one of my childhood favorites and always gives me a good laugh and I'm not too upset that we didn't get this version. On another note, It would be really cool to see a lot of Disney movies done how they were originally written. Not like the original fairy tales they were based off of but rather the original scripts they made. I know a lot of them had interesting plots they abandoned for a more lighthearted element, which is understandable considering the target audience. It would be interesting to see what these movies could have been like though
I love it, if it had been modified and made look better, a little change in the lyrics at times too. THIS could be an instant Disney classic. A little more of the beginning, more jazzed and better musicians and writing. Cause It is perfect as a villain song, evil, super self esteem from the character, and DAMN good STYLE! love it, royal shame it didn't get the funding it deserved
It'd be great if they would released Kingdom of the Sun as a possible sequel to Emperor's New Groove. It could be done and would be awesome. Maybe tweak it a little bit and maybe call it "Yzma and The Kingdom of the Sun".
shinyasora11 They could. They have had another woman voice Eartha Kitt's roles in recent clips and in emperor's new school. They also have most of the original Kingdom of the Sun animation and voice work in the "vault" too.
Well, that and almost none of the animation was nearly complete. It would take millions to finish the original KotS, plus the fact that the script had no actual form by the time it was retooled into TENG.
***** Yeah I know about Kronk's and I agree it was underwhelming. I kind of wish Disney would put more effort into it's traditional cartoon sequels like Pixar does.
this song SLAPS, i love Emperors New Groove so much, but i’d definitely love to hear this song in another movie, especially if the original, darker plot was kept
I wish Kingdom of the Sun was finished, but I really do love "The Emperor's new groove", it just sucks that they'd never be able to make a second one, unless you count Kronk's New Groove but I was kind 'meh' about that film, I just really like the idea of Yzma being a really vain character (despite it possibly being problematic) and it sucks that Yzma's VA is dead, rest in peace Eartha Kitt
+Morgana Le´Fay Basically, rather than being the mad- scientist type she was in the final cut of the film, Yzma was more of a sorceress. As the song indicates, she hates the sun because she blames it for causing her body to age so poorly. So, her master plan is to somehow use black magic to summon a gigantic demon that would block out the sun forever. Also, as in the final cut, she still wanted to take over Kuzco's throne. They tried to make a third film, 'Yzma's New Groove,' to fit in this plot (I think largely so they could have an excuse to feature this awesome song in a movie), but that was cancelled after Eartha Kitt died. Another detail removed from the film's final cut was that Kuzco was originally going to have a love interest, a kind llama- herder who helps him when he's a llama.
I never noticed before a lot of Disney villains are evil because of vanity, the evil queen tried to kill Snow White because she was more beautiful, Yzma in the original draft tried to darken the world because the sun gave her wrinkles, Gaston wanted to marry Belle because she was the only girl as beautiful as him, and Mother Gothel kept Rapunzel captive because of her magical hair
mother gothel and the evil queen were the only ones that actually came out that way tho, t pisses me off that people say all female disney villains want is vanity Maleficent was pissed she wasn't invited to a gathering Cruella wanted to kill puppies to make a coat the queen of hearts was just a brat who wanted things to go her way zira wanted to overthrow simba the evil step mother was just a massive bitch and (my personal fav of the bunch) Ursula wanted control of the sea
its funny cause in the original Pacha was a girl who fell in love Kusco and got turned in to a llama meanwhile Yzma summoned the god of death to murder the fucking sun and Kusco wack
Disney absolutely should have gone ahead and animated this then used it as a short of some kind. Either in the show, or just "commercial filler". Can you imagine how utterly bat-tish crazy, but utterly awesome, that would've been?!
What a waste of Eartha Kitt. They had it all the way to have a written song, animation and have Eartha sing it and they totally changed the idea. It would have made so many changes if Eartha Kitt was a classic Disney villain like it seems like she would have been in here.
I don't know about that. Seems like Eartha had a lot of fun playing a less serious villain. Yzma's personality and humor is what makes her memorable amongst the sea of "classic" disney villains.
Gila Monster but she is not as popular nor is this movie known as a classic or is well known than other more serious disney films. Not having the song waste Eartha's voice.
Yeah, I agree. Taking away her song was idiotic. I was just talking about the role itself. Also, popular doesn't always mean good. And for all we know Kingdom of the Sun might have ended up being even less popular.
Gila Monster LighteningXT9 The problem is that the movie might have been too dark for a Disney movie. Yzma was originally suppose to summon the Inca god of death. He almost killed Kuzco, who instead turned into a llama. Even this song, while good, portrays how dark the movie could have been.
***** Yeah Disney has dark things in their films before. They showed dead bodies in Mulan. Ursula getting stab in Little Mermaid. The Black Caldron. and the original Fantasia has the devil in it. And boobies. Lots and lots of boobies.
I don't even have to hear the other potential songs that could have been in this movie to know that this song (like every villain song) would have been the best one in the movie.
I would have loved to see a remake, or possibly even a new movie, using this plotline. I feel like it would have had an On the Road to El Dorado vibe and I love that idea! PLEASE Disney make this a reality!
Okay so I love how emperor's new groove came out and wouldn't want it to change, but kingdom of the sun seems different enough I wish that Disney would make it a whole new movie! A few slight changes and it could be strong on its own. I know they won't, but it would be so awesome!
Autumn Caudill The way I see it, they could get an actress who sounds close enough to Eartha Kitt. That's what Dreamworks did on the TV series Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. They got an actor who sounded pretty close to Jack Black.
Fun Fact: In Aztec Mythology the sun and moon are brother and sister. The sun was the youngest of a few thousand siblings his brothers a sister tried to kill their mother, in retribution he chopped of their heads and threw then into the sky. Now they chase him around the sky and try to kill him.
Yeah I knew it was a joke, but I just love the original plot to kingdom of the sun and the connections to the Aztec mythos it had. For example the reason she wanted to kill the emperor originally was to sacrifice him to the moon god of darkness so she would have the power to destroy the sun, and in return she would give yzma eternal youth.
Yeah, it really only had a pre-colonial Americas aesthetic instead of any actual mythos. im surprised you know this much about it, really interesting stuff man.
Yeager That's nice dear, but I'm pretty sure Kuzko was Incan. I recall him referring to the "Incan Empire" while channel surfing. Of course, he could have been referring to the Incans as rivals for all I know.
I always loooved yzmas outfits. They were so special. Only a few caracters in the history of cartoons had such a remarkable taste in fashion Btw i loved her 20s fashion
Wouln't it be great from Disney to animate a scene to this song, simply to honor Earthas amazing performance?
MoreImbaThanYou - judging by this video that was in my recommended, it seems like they were working on one ruclips.net/video/qAt9ovvKgCU/видео.html

So Yzma was basically gonna be a reverse Mother Gothel.

Zachary Lahana well actually in the finished movie yzma just wanted the throne and she turned kuzco to do this and she tried doing the same thing throughout the tv series except with different animals
lilytoast2 I know, but it's different in the original scripts it was different.
i know it was
the difference is that Izma queira off the fucking sun, that if it is an objective also she wanted to invoke sumpai
I actually found some production footage of Kingdom of the Sun that includes this song and it looks pretty good.
@MJRChewy ruclips.net/video/qAt9ovvKgCU/видео.html idk if you're still interested but here you go
@@MaceWindow1589 ..... Thank You
Is there a Special Edition where the song is added?
That ending chorus though. Simply divine
probably the incantation to summon the thing that will extinguish the sun
Aw man I really want to see the Kingdom of the Sun now ... I enjoyed Emperor's New Groove, but I am a sucker for darker Disney movies.... And the plot was actually a good start imo.. maybe they just should have given the guy more time to polish it and we would have had a motherfucking epic inca disney movie.. ; v ;
+AshikawaBetas Yeah said guy was Roger Allers, who co-directed The Lion King.
I would've loved to have seen the original movie idea realized.
I dunno, New Groove is way different than the finished product, maybe one day they'll tweak the original a bit more to get it away from New Groove and make it
@@AnvilPro100 yeah maybe, when they stop this stupid trend of remaking all of their movies into live actions
Yes yes yes Yes! That would be a perfect plot for the live-action version.
Champion Soley hmmm... I feel like any changes would ruin some parts of it. I still feel like they could’ve just changed some lyrics
Came here because of Schaffrillas Productions.

Nice!
OK kids, time for a Disney history lesson.
'The Emperor's New Groove' was originally going to be a really dark and dramatic film, kind of like 'The Lion King', called 'Kingdom of the Sun'.
In the original story:
- Yzma was going to summon the Inca god of Death (I think),
- Pacha was going to be a girl who falls in love with Kuzco
- And Kuzco was almost going to be killed the the god, but was instead turned into a lama.
But man I would love to watch a film based on that original script.
i think the way it ended up is an excellent movie...
But DARN that sounds epic!
Yeah, and he went on to do what again…oh, yeah, Open Season!
I can see where they got Mother Gothel's storyline from. Awesome song. Yzma really needs more attention.
WinterWonder99 I was gonna say the exact same thing.
Anyone else thinks that villians in disney movies get the best song? (cut or not)
samuelwilliams663 i think everyone thinks that except for the cut villain song in the little mermaid 2 and the one from home on the range
+lilytoast2 I'm pretty sure we'd all like to pretend home on the range and the little mermaid 2 didn't exist
+samuelwilliams663 Not just in Disney movies - example Toxic Love from Ferngully !
+h193013 HELLFIRE
I have got to say. Eartha Kitt had one of the best voices ever.
God bless you Eartha your voice is amazing. I listen to this to keep you with me. RIP
This song quite literally gives a reason as to why Yzma was Kuzco's advisor, she always planned to kill him, take over the empire, and use the empire's resources to discover eternal youth, like holy shit this adds layers to the movie that I wish actually existed.
weird, this sounded exactly like I imagined it would when I first heard about this song. very upbeat and jagged!
Why this song would be better in the movie:
1) has good latino music traits (such as perfect world which, btw sounds much better in spanish)
2) Inti was the incan sun god, and the main god, a villain who wants to battle the core of icnan culture, so much badder, so much loveable.
+Smoldergeist gamer If I ever get to be an animator on Disney I would try to bring the original idea back, so we could make a remake or something.
+Smoldergeist gamer and actually the snake was the symbol of the underground for the incas so, maybe add something like that.
+tomas dominguez in the original concep art supai was a snakelike creature.
Well, except that peruvian music has nothing to do with salsa or afro-antillean music, which was mostly developed in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and other caribbean islands.
So... Yzma for Kingdom Hearts villain?
Kingdom of the Sun would have worked really well as a Kingdom Hearts world, I think. I love The Emperor's New Groove but I'm not sure if it could work.
WHat if Kingdom of the Sun was in Epic Mickey (if they ever did that game again)?
Whacking an old lady with a giant key repeatedly? Sure!
Smug Sneasel uuuuhhhhh you do realize the old lady you were referring to in the original version was a sorceress who summoned out a god so it would be a mildly hard boss IMHO
Yzma's my favorite villain... so...
She hinted that Yzma's character got the short end of the stick after the concept was scrapped during part of the documentary "The Sweatbox."
Now I wish we could see the alternate movie.
Brilliant, Brilliant! BRILLIANT!
Brilliance
GENIUS I SAY!!!!
MyRedHulk Too bad that Disney put this version in a box, then put that box in another box, then mailed it to itself...AND SMASHED IT WITH A HAMMER
Oh the references
Amelia Bee I know, it's called a cruel irony, like my dependence on you.
So Disney reacted and took the setting from the original movie and structured it so that it would be a comedy.
the last 30 seconds of this song though
If this movie was kept a musical I'm pretty sure it would have been a bigger success.
Alas probably not more likely it would underperform when it was release and have become a cult classic later on like treasure planet so I can unfortunately understand the change tho wish this version existed but one can only wish huh
Yzma holding a Bass is the only thing left I needed to see in this lonely world.
Early concept Yzma is Gorgeous.
That is Yzma. it's just her design for the series, Emperor's New School
Kingdom of the Sun sounds like it would have been fantastic.
Really love this! It sucks it didn't make it into the final film. I really like the way the film turned out, but it could have been even better.
One of the best disney villian songs, on par with Be Prepared. No idea why it was deleted
Because it wasn't deleted
A whole movie was deleted, if you look at the lyrics you'll notice that has nothing to do with emperor's new groove, because this is a song about the movie "the empire of the sun" which was cancelled.
I'd be completely alright with either film. Dark or light, Emperor's Groove would have likely been a success no matter what direction they chose.
Is it just me, or does this sound like it would make a good theme for a James Bond movie?
Huh. Never thought of it that way. But now that you mention it, it kinda does
I love it, if it had been modified and made look better, a little change in the lyrics at times too. THIS could be an instant Disney classic. A little more of the beginning, more jazzed and better musicians and writing. Cause It is perfect as a villain song, evil, super self esteem from the character, and DAMN good STYLE! love it, royal shame it didn't get the funding it deserved
❤❤❤Eartha❤❤❤ Even in her older years, her voice was just as awesome.
Oh my god. This was my favourite Emperor's New Groove soundtrack song.. I could sing this by heart.
I also happen to love the way how the end of the song reminds of the witches' rhymes in Macbeth.
All those dislikes are from Kuzco and Pacha
And Kronk. He wasn't going to be in Kingdom of the Sun.
It'd be great if they would released Kingdom of the Sun as a possible sequel to Emperor's New Groove. It could be done and would be awesome. Maybe tweak it a little bit and maybe call it "Yzma and The Kingdom of the Sun".
They can't, her voice actor passed away in 2008
shinyasora11 They could.
KHooksMixer There actually is a sequel. It's called Kronk's New Groove, but I personally hate it. I think your idea would make a much better sequel!
***** Yeah I know about Kronk's and I agree it was underwhelming. I kind of wish Disney would put more effort into it's traditional cartoon sequels like Pixar does.
This may be the greatest Disney song ever, and it didn't even make it into it's own movie!
What I adore about the performance of this song is not just the way she pronounces each word it's her breathing. so amazing A+++ yes.
this song SLAPS, i love Emperors New Groove so much, but i’d definitely love to hear this song in another movie, especially if the original, darker plot was kept
You know, instead of just rehashing and remaking their existing properties Disney could give Kingdom of the Sun another shot.
R.I.P. Eartha Kitt
Thanks Schaffrillas! It’s a really good song
Hey Disney, how about instead of remaking movies that are already perfectly fine, you return to THIS gem that deserves to (ironically) see the light!
I really wonder what the movie would be like now as "Kingdom of the Sun"....
PLUS IM SAD THIS WASNT IN THE MOVIE
this movie went through so much production hell i really feel sorry for everyone involved in making it
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen! It would have made such a great movie!
Wonderful song! It's a shame this got cut.
Technodreamer it would make a better plot.
Well, I love the movie as-is. I understand this wouldn't fit, but I wouldn't want to give up the movie we got.
same here. Still, im curious, I´d wish to see the story this song was made for.
Technodreamer yeah. I prefair kingdom of the sun
The phrase "Claim your right for a world of darkness" is weirdly motivational
I cannot believe they cut this
I never noticed before a lot of Disney villains are evil because of vanity, the evil queen tried to kill Snow White because she was more beautiful, Yzma in the original draft tried to darken the world because the sun gave her wrinkles, Gaston wanted to marry Belle because she was the only girl as beautiful as him, and Mother Gothel kept Rapunzel captive because of her magical hair
mother gothel and the evil queen were the only ones that actually came out that way tho, t pisses me off that people say all female disney villains want is vanity
Maleficent was pissed she wasn't invited to a gathering
Cruella wanted to kill puppies to make a coat
the queen of hearts was just a brat who wanted things to go her way
zira wanted to overthrow simba
the evil step mother was just a massive bitch
and (my personal fav of the bunch) Ursula wanted control of the sea
Skeleton-Rampage did you just mention me?
I wish there was a live action version. Complete with the music.
Can this be the theme for Pokemon Moon?
"Bats and owls and coiled sea dragons" Lunala and Rowlet are already in!
YES. PLEASE. THATS AMAZING.
It's Necrozma's theme now, given that he steals the light in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
Y-zma?
Necro-zma?
Plot about stealing the light?
It's pretty clear where Nintendo and Gamefreak got their ideas from...
its funny cause in the original Pacha was a girl who fell in love Kusco and got turned in to a llama meanwhile Yzma summoned the god of death to murder the fucking sun and Kusco
wack
She is a legend brilliant brilliant brilliant
Schafrillas studio’s brought me here, I stayed for trumpets. This song had some pep 😍
Disney absolutely should have gone ahead and animated this then used it as a short of some kind. Either in the show, or just "commercial filler". Can you imagine how utterly bat-tish crazy, but utterly awesome, that would've been?!
Best disney villain, even her cut content is incredible
It's a little ironic, considering the sun magic in Tangled, used to keep Mother Gothel eternally youthful....
Also I saw a clip of an animation of this song and Friends from another side is actually VERY influenced by this imo.
I know the original story will probably never be made into a full length movie but I would love to see this song animated
Eartha Kitt has an amazing voice!
Eartha Kitt in Music Heaven, Thanks for all the Laughs and Thanks for all the Musical Performing. You Will Be Missed. :-((
You know, now that I think about it I guess Yzma must have been very beautiful at some point. Just as evil, but beautiful.
I vote that Disney should animate this song and put it as a short before a film. I feel denied! This would have been amazing
This is amazing!
The word usage is just remarkable.
Kinda ironic that in "Kronks new Groove" Yzma convinces Kronk to sell eternal youth elixer.
Hot damn, that's fantastic!
I'm just gonna say it; Kingdom of the Sun is the superior concept for a movie. Maybe we can petition Disney to make it or something
Justin Montana id like to see Disney do that in a live action movie. It'd be the closest thing to a live action remake of The Emperor's New Groove.
What the heck
I did like the Emeperor`s New Groove , but perhaps making a spin off in the same universe? That would be awesome
I can't see them doing it without earths kitt as Yzma
Autumn Caudill The way I see it, they could get an actress who sounds close enough to Eartha Kitt. That's what Dreamworks did on the TV series Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. They got an actor who sounded pretty close to Jack Black.
Is it weird that I want both versions of this movie to exist?
Yzma's gonna be pretty bummed when she finds out the moon reflects sunlight
Fun Fact: In Aztec Mythology the sun and moon are brother and sister. The sun was the youngest of a few thousand siblings his brothers a sister tried to kill their mother, in retribution he chopped of their heads and threw then into the sky. Now they chase him around the sky and try to kill him.
Well i mean, thats pretty cool mytho's and i'm totally into it, but my comment was 100% a joke.
No wonder it was deleted - too much truth in there..... Brilliant, but then again, Eartha Kitt delivers no less. 👏
I always loooved yzmas outfits. They were so special. Only a few caracters in the history of cartoons had such a remarkable taste in fashion
Btw i loved her 20s fashion
I can't even count how many times I listened to this. I love it.
Think of it this way. If they kept to the original story, we wouldn't have Kronk.
Wow! That's really amazing! Why no one told me that song exist before?
