- I don't know if the engine will make enough vacuum for the brakes. tranny and wipers...so I converted to an electric wiper. Also, the heater unit is installed and I polished a bit of bling!
That wiper motor would have drove me crazy! I used to be a wiring dude once upon a time, but like you, it's too hard to contort the body while working under the dash. But your project is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
Just gonna keep knocking things off the list!
Thanks Dan again a very informative video Dae and I appreciate it.
Thanks for watchin' , cheers!
Get a moving blanket folded in half makes a great pad and slides a little
good tip! thanks
At least you have different colours wire. My Freightliner is all white
Your making headway one project at a time, which is good.
I would have like to see how the transmission arms went in.
Best wishes for the scratching off whats still to do.
I think I show the linkage set-up in a later video...thanks for watching!
Be sure when routing that resistor to keep it away from other wires because it's likely going to get quite hot when it has power applied.
Put some "zip ties" on your wiper arm splines when you go to turn it on so you don't screw up your paint job if it does some "un-expected" !!! I did one (two actually) of those "Rain Gear" retrofit setups for 57 Chevies and they recommend using the zip ties for the first test. Yes, very TEDIOUS doing the installation. The RainGear instructions, however, are VERY thorough up to, and including them telling you "this is going to be difficult so just slow down and keep calm" !!! Sure enough !!! ;o)
Good stuff, thanks! I need a bendy little 20 year old to work under there...haha
...your doing some interesting stuff there. Can you advise of where you got your wiper kit?
Bills truck shop in southern Ontario
Check the clocking of motor to the wiper transmission & the retainer “ clips” are a pain! Until you install the complete assembly, you don’t know if it works & parks correctly
correct! when I check it I'll use zip ties to mimic the wipers
Talk about spaghetti, at least you marked all those wires. Give you credit for thinking if someone had to do work in future accessibility.
Would you be willing to sell me the lower shock mounts from your old I Beam axle? I am covering to power steering but leaving the original front axel. I really only need the front passenger side but would by as a pair.
Sorry, went for scrap long time ago.
I got a question just bills truckstop know about your RUclips channel
I don't know... I'll mention it when I place my next order.
Older looking for a knob, got a mirror lol.
