Brand new to your channel but I enjoyed watching. I think I am going to view some of your older videos as well. Thank you for sharing. Bummer, you didn't get more keepers.
If that's where I think it is. When the bite is on it's on. Caught 20 leopard sharks my birthday like 2yrs ago. I loved driving my mustang all through the windy roads. Tight lines.
Like you I fished the lagoon and honestly have grilled in hundreds of crabs don’t think I’ve ever caught a keeper. I have caught nice size leopard sharks there though. Have gone to the beach and brought home limits with no issues. Actually have snared 2 small leopard sharks from the surf as well
I was wondering how you guys did. A lot of those crabs we threw back should be keepers next season. Nice meeting you guys, hope to see you all at the water again.
excellent video bro another question which thread should I use does it have a specific number - I have to have a license to fish this - and what fishing rod do you recommend?
I'm just starting out with this hobby, I don't know anything about this, but I would like you to give me information. I would really appreciate it. I live here on the San Francisco California side. What places do you recommend to go to? Thank you very much.
Hey bro, just want to tell you that I love your videos love your snares and in this specific video you can just take up the slack in your line put your pole pretty much straight up and down instead of an angle like you have it and you’ll be able to see the crabs trying to take your snare they’ll be hitting it just like a fish you’ll be able to see the tip, your rod move and then you can give it a second to feed and attract some more crab and then yarder in I don’t know that’s how I do it one love
If you fish off a public pier, no license is required. Otherwise you’ll need a fishing license. You’ll want a 10-12’ rod, heavy. Daiwa Beefstick is popular. Okuma crab snare special and Ugly Stik Bigwater surf are other examples. You’ll need a fairly big reel, 6000 minimum, 8000 preferred doesn’t have to be expensive. Walmart has a Penn Pursuit IV 10’ with a 8000 reel that’s around $100 that’s a good starter.

That's one of my favorite place to go crabbing, but man the drive up there tho 😬🤢🤮 lol. And sucky thing is having to deal with the seaweed every time reeling in but always have a crab on 🦀
Thing is with that place it's a seal birthing place. The thought of crab feasting on afterbirth and seal feases is bad. But I suppose , all crabs are petty much scavenger. The crabs look surprisingly clean for living right there. I caught crab in that water that some the meat inside was black. The exterior was algae brown too.

@@gladiatorcrabsnares8030 You we’re right for sure. I made three stops near where you were and caught 8 before heading over to the beaches. Yeah, know exactly where that is-I grew up there, in the town that doesn't want tourists. We pulled down the road signs regularly. Lots of leopards, fair amounts of rock crabs, especially towards the reef, but Dungeness?? Few & far between, and there used to be a garbage dump at the top of the bay.

@@alexmacdonald258 I’ve fished the lagoon and had days where we caught a ton of crab but honestly 90% of it was undersized females. I actually kind of wonder if DFW should make it off limits because it feels like an area for breeding (similar to sf bay).

I'm always curious as to where all the crabs from the bay area go after February. Good to know that they are still "around".
I would like to know. Wish they would do an intensive study on their migration.
Not hard to figure out, they move to commercial boats to get sold in markets
