Everyone needs a friend like Barry Marder, which is extremely precious to have but very hard to attain. People get busy, have falling outs, they move, are jealous, get married and have families. To have someone that you can get advice from, to share your thoughts with and be your true supporter is even better than the best wife, except for the sex of course. There needs to be a very high trust level there. I have many friends/family/acquaintances but I wish I had a Barry Marder.
I've probably known of Howard Stern for 20+ years, but it's only in the last couple that I've come to appreciate how good he is at what he does. There's a tolerance or tipping point at which I can no longer listen to radio types. Mostly it's because they're just mean. One example that comes to mind, and not because of his history with Howard, is Artie Lange. I listen to these people on RUclips because I'm not in America right now. Every upload of Artie that drops into my feed is basically him bitching about celebrities. It's not that I like celebrities and celebrity, it's that I couldn't give a fuck what Artie thinks of some actor. It's incestuous.
