I would buy Version 3 just because Ibanez improved the pedal (at least a bit) and the difference between those three Wahs are just details - they all do Frusciante, don‘t they? If I would own V1 or V2 (which I do not) I‘d keep it and save the money for.....: The current Wah that John is playing? Seriously I am curious bout his „new“ setup! Cheers
Plus John didn't like the v2 anyway even though he's never used it so next concert in 2021 he might replace the xotic wah for the v3 instead we'll see he'll probably like the v3 no tone suck and it's enclosure to me the v3 isn't true bypass to my ears
Hi and thanks for the comparison. I can see the that the CE-1 is on, do you use in the video? I'm considering to buy either the v3 or v2 but I dont want to get any tone loss cause I dont own a CE-1. I currenlty have a crybaby in my chain, perhaps it has the same tonesuck as the ibanez wh10v2 and that would be fine.
V2 better, trust me. I’ve got both. V2 more personality than v3. V3 sound more gentle And less dirt for distortion mess around. get as vintage is posibble for now , cause ibanez wh10 v1 is barrely impossible to get at the time
I'm close to getting a Ibanez WH10 Black Purple version. And the DS-2 and PastFX Chorus Ensemble CE-1 clone are on their way to my home. I will run it through my Blackstar HT5R with 12" Celestion Greenback and Ruby12ax7 preamp tube. Should be good enough for my home studio does it?
Am I hearing correctly or the V3 has that click sound every time you push the pedal for the effect? I am currently waiting for the V3 to be shipped into my country. Any ideas how to adjust it or get rid of that click clack please?

They’re so similar it’s hard to choose but I’d say I slightly like the V2 more but it changes at times. I’ve never had a problem with the tone suck people say they get with the V2. The V3 has a true bypass switch which can help with the tone suck if you have it. Since I don’t get the tone suck, the buffered and try bypass mode sound the same to me

I’ve never experienced the tone suck but I think it depends on the amp. If you run your amp very clean then it might be better to get a V3 but I think you’ll still get a volume jump
@@sirpsychofrusciante794 thanks a lot! I've got the Orange cr120. I find I do get the volume jump a bit but the dirtier the signal is the more it's controlled it is. You remind me of Dave Simpson, massive John Frusciante fan and giving everyone advice on his gear in the comments hahah
Es que eso depende del gusto de cada guitarrista a mi me gusta el ibañez wah 10 de los 80 y si pudiera lo sumaria a mi pedal bord da un sonido mas funky y jhon ya no lo usa para sus nuevos albumes usa el ibañez wah 2 y el ibañez wah10 version 3 suena como una combiancion de estos anteriores pedales es interesante. Yo consegui a duraz penas el ibañez wah 10 version 2 a duras penas y la version deblos ochenta esta muy inacecible y solo ay uno es muy carro y la version 3 no lo traen a mi pais pero estoy conforme con el ibañez wah 10 version 2 saludos desde argentina
yo lo compre hace muchos años de segunda mano por internet... en la foto ponian el v2 y me enviaron el v1. pense que me havian estafado pero como solo me costo 40 euro no quise molestarme en devolverlo....

I think it's the physical pedal hitting itself, I imagine some felt pads can fix that
