Yeah, I love it when they hit one like that and they know that it's WAY gone as soon as they hit it. Stanton's not standing there to see IF it goes - he just wants to see how FAR it goes. :)

@@BogartSlap The Yankees have some of the best on air announcers in baseball between John Stirling and Mike Kay. Kay's call of it was epic.
I can't watch college games because I absolutely HATE the sound, or rather the "tink" of those aluminum bats they use nowadays. They didn't sound like that back in the day when I played. Or maybe I'm just spoiled by the beautiful sound of wood on a well squared-up baseball.

Gil is showing some serious potential. If he can sharpen up a couple things, I can see him being an absolute weapon for us. Couple solid games in a row from big G, Volpes on fire, man I’m really enjoying watching this team. Lets go Yanks great start to the season 🔥

He does not look like an ace at all. Not for any MLB team. The kid has a lot to learn still and if he keeps his eyes open he can learn from someone like Cole. Too many wasted pitches. Too many walks.

It was really really awful at the beginning. He tightened things up when he realized stanton p much removed his ability to decide who would win or lose. When he's got nothing damaging his fragile ego and no vendetta to fulfill, he's a perfectly average ump

Watching Volpe this early season has been a lot of fun. He just keeps doing things to help the team win. Great defensive play, stealing bases, hitting .424, scoring a lot of runs. The only thing he isn't doing is getting RBIs, but that will be the case when the 4 hitters in front of him are hitting .193 collectively.
What a difference a year makes... 8 wins thru 10... This could FINALLY be the year.
Stanton is a clutch player, shows up to the plate when needed!

I can tell Stanton I’d nearing the end of his career. Hopefully he’s able to keep doing good things every now and then. Not expecting a whole lot from him, but I’m sure he will contribute greatly when it matters. What a good season we’re having so far. Best team in baseball.
He’s got like 4 years left and yes he’s not as fast as he once was but other than that not much has changed. He goes through streaks of being hot and cold there is no middle ground. If he stays healthy it ends up being a good productive season with hitting .260-.280 with like 30-40 hrs and a .800-.900 ops. Which he has done with the marlins and yankees multiple times the only exception being last year but he was hurt then to so idk if it counts. And yea he will never return to 2017 but that was unrealistic. Do u expect judge to have 2022 every year
@@jackhumbach9086 Totally agree. I can’t stand how much hate he gets from our fan base. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Yeah the guy slumps, but damn if he’s not dangerous when he’s hot. I can’t wait to see how he pans out.

G-man's monster home run today made me think of Mickey Mantle's shot that came up just about one foot short of going OUT of Yankee stadium, in center field - estimated to have gone somewhere between 600 and 700 feet if it hadn't hit the facade. THAT's power. 😁
