Miss Kansas Danni Boatwright may not have won Miss USA '96 but she took home 1 million dollars in Survivor Guatemala beating the favorite Stephenie Lagrossa.
Best answer was Miss Tennessee! Best looking Miss louisana! Miss Kansas possessed both beauty and gave answer! So Miss kansas would be my vote if I were the judge that night!!!
I agree with the last two comments: the best top 3 we've ever had. Too bad they had to compete with each other! Any of them could have won in any other year. My favorite, Miss Tennessee did not win but Ali Landry is gorgeous. Miss Kansas was almost TOO perfect.
@@michaelstrahan2.0 Kansas was first place in preliminaries.. based on final round I would rank her in third, she looked conscious and she grimaced a lot while the first two were spontaneous and charming
Lots of people still vote Ali (Louisiana) as the most beautiful Miss USA ever crowned. She is beautiful. Unfortunately she didn’t win Miss Universe but she did have a respectable entertainment career.
This question is so ironic. Kansas and Tennessee had better more complete answers. Louisana won coz she's certainly prettiest. Correct answer should have been: If women were judged solely on their achievements, this pageant would not have been possible. I'm thankful this is not the case. Thank you. *smile*
Miss Louisiana was the Pageant Patty. She is my cousin and we were in a few pageants together when I was a kid. I honestly think though that NONE of them really answered the question...so the judges were left to decide whose answer THEY liked best. That said, though I was cheering for Louisiana, I did not think she'd have won.
@@MUPortal2018 I believe that was implemented in 1959 but they had it backwards, where a # 1 vote means 5 points, a #2 vote means 4 points and so on. They later just use the more common sensical approach of having the lowest scored contestants wins. Prior to that, the contestant with the highest semi-finals scores wins.
This is a deep and bold question that is given to them and a answer of a million words or more like a book written answer would be my response. Let's just say the world would be at least a 180 degree turn around difference if women were judge solely on their achievements than their looks.
I love how women have "arrived" in a world that doesn't judge them on their looks when they were dancing around like softcore porno models in the swimsuit competition.
kansas got the highest score for this round, but in 1996 they were still taking the average score of all rounds, so louisiana beat kansas to the crown by a very narrow 0.025 score.
Miss Kansas Danielle Boatwright should have won...Ali Landry is beautiful but Danielle is more competitive...She will do extremely well if she was sent to Miss Universe.
well they are not, but as a pageant follower it is just like a sport, football is not important yet people folow it and love it, and the players spend all their time practicing to play for a few hours and make millions.
Shawnae was the best miss usa ever. She was the whole package deal. Glad miss California didn't win in 1998. Kansas was robbed of the title in 1996, so was far prettier then Louisinana. Just my thoughts.
Louisiana deserve to win, she had great stance and poise with confidence.. where as Kansas was childish, if u look at the whole competition she never did a frontal view pose, only to the side and twisting her neck and body...
Miss Kansas was the most beautifull of them, I think Lousiana shouldnt win the crown because she has a weird style like a miss. she doesnt have a miss personality .
if miss kansas was right about women being jugded on their aheivements than none of those girls would be standing there. These pageants are based on looks, nothing else. How many of these contestants spend most of their days volunteering for charities and helping people? Not many I bet. More likely primping and prunning for their next pageant, way too busy "being pretty" to give a crap about anything imortant. Cause lets face it pageants ARE NOT important.
I do not like Bob Goen as host! He's too loud and boisterous. I'm glad Miss Louisiana won. Miss Kansas was a little too overconfident and I hated her gown.

In my opinion, most beautiful set of Final 3 in Miss USA history. I remember rooting for Miss Tennessee at that time.
I agree

Kansas was leading all the way...but in the end, she's first RU...happens all the time
Not true. Kansas was in third place going into the Final 3, behind Louisiana and Tennessee, respectively.

@Gurizin
But didn't Kansas have higher scores in the previous rounds?
LOUISIANA answered "WE HAVE ARRIVED", while KANSAS said "WE'RE GONNA GET THERE". ALI's answer is more advanced and on point, that's why she won .

Lol what kind of ears do u have their answers were pretty on point its just the level of your comprehension I guess what I think has a problem
And wasn't the final vote a 1, 2, or 3 by the judges and the lowest score wins or was that introduced later on?
Lowest accumulated scores win.

I like Miss Kansas.
Ally answered accordingly! Very good!
I'm shocked Loiusianna won. I picked Kansas or Tennesse.
I agree with you I just knew Kansas was going to win

lol yeah.. you did say that exact thing a few months ago. But really.. I'm still bitter about the 1998 result. :/
Danni deserved to win SHE SLAYED SO HARD
I love how women have "arrived" in a world that doesn't judge them on their looks when they were dancing around like softcore porno models in the swimsuit competition.
To me the last two answered the question better than the first

Just curious how do you know Kansas scores the highest here and that they were still taking the average scores of all rounds??
0:55 Miss Tennessee: "Watch the earrings, b*tch, I'm Top 3!" LOL
HAHAHA YASSSSS
Not surprising.. All the people in Louisiana are either your cousins or your brothers/sisters or both...
Miss Kansas Danielle Boatwright should have won...Ali Landry is beautiful but Danielle is more competitive...She will do extremely well if she was sent to Miss Universe.
Pageant Ink - Frankie Kanamaru she may have made top 3. Not sure if she would’ve won though. The judges were crazy for Venezuela that year
well they are not, but as a pageant follower it is just like a sport, football is not important yet people folow it and love it, and the players spend all their time practicing to play for a few hours and make millions.
I would've voted for Kansas.
Kansas thought she was in "Miss Venezuela"
Kansas the best
well i kinda think watching sports is a waste of time too. playing them for fun is one thing but like pagents they're completely over-rated

@spoyledbratt
100% agree
@happyj122 ali landry is one of the most beautiful woman to ever walk the earth.
Kansas had the best answer
@felixrivers1
agree kansas gave a better answer...
Danni looks like Lana del rey
Miss Kansas should have won!

i agree...kansas answered the question better...
