But because this movie was a flop and bashed by fans, plans of a sequel were cancelled. But in the 2010s, it was then changed to being a reboot with Jamie Foxx in the lead role and instead portraying Spawn like the shark from Jaws where he's barely shown on screen and again is hidden in the shadows. McFarlane also said he wanted the reboot rated R and dark enough to make kids cry.
I know some people didn't like this movie but honestly I think it's one of the best superhero movies there is And I really hope they don't ruin it by trying to make a sequel in my opinion if you're going to make a sequel do it right after Don't try to make a sequel several years later because it simply doesn't work because the special effects Will never be the same they will always look different which ruins the movie in my opinion
