I had taken this Vintage Steam Engine Train Tour in Auckland city recently. Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand and is covered well with its internal metro train network via Auckland Transport, and externally to other cities via Kiwi Rail.
During my childhood days I often used to go on Train Journey from Gujarat to Rajasthan and still remember the great trains like Shatabdi Express and Rajdhani Train in India. This train tour of Auckland reminded me of those trips. Its a fun activity to do in Auckland and can be covered as a day trip in Auckland. I am not too sure if they run a regular trip of such vintage trains. I think it was a one off celebration trip.
