The Bernina Express runs from Chur through the Swiss Alps to Tirano just south of the border between Switzerland and Italy.
The trains passes many bridges, tunnels and mountain villages. The train itself is spacious, clean and convenient. The windows are large and panoramic.
The Bernina Express stops at small villages like Filisur and Bergun where you find the Albula museum.
At the final station, Tirano, you can take the Bernina Bus to Lugano, one of the most beautiful train rides in the world.
Everyone should be able to enjoy such an amazing trip with stunning views. Don’t settle!

Fantabulous. In 1972, when I was studying second form (VII Std.), at the age of 12, my Geography Teacher taught us that Switzerland is a country best known for its scenic beauties, rich vegetations, refreshing alpines , cleanliness, tourism, cottage industries, watch producing activities and above all peace loving people and these facts were recorded in my subconscious mind, which developed love towards this country. I am just recalling the truth said by my teacher as I am witnessing this video and other documentaries. The country revers nature and nature honours the country. Great. Never saw the Bernina Express at the Upper Rhine Valley or the Oberalp Pass. It´s just a sequence of patched videos from the Rhaetian Railways and a small part from SBB without any chronology of the real line of the Bernina Express.
