  • A tribute music video to the Roman army made using movie footage. The song is Warrior by Disturbed. Clips used: Gladiator, Centurion, The Eagle, Ancient Rome: Rise and Fall of an Empire, HBO's Rome series, season 1. I'm an avid fan of the Roman military and thought it necessary to make a tribute to their greatness :)

      make sure that obsession does not make u want to be like them. For it has for so many others. The Romans ruled a huge portion of the world for over 500 years a feat many nations wished to copy. None were able to and failed due to weak government and internal structure.

    When the leader puts on his helmet and they start running in formation that scene really brings back memories. I can remember running in formation with our combat boots one, (Before they started allowing us to wear tennis shoes to prevent injuries.) You could hear those boots all across the post early in the morning. 82nd Airborne Jump School is located there at Fort Benning. They would all get up about the same time, stretch a little bit, and then start running. We sung in cadence, too. Yeah,...try to run like that for 2 or more miles singing. As if running wasn't hard enough. LOL. It didn't matter if you were in your car or what. Laying in your bed--you could hear the pounding of our boots hitting the payment keeping the beat to the songs we sang. "Your left, your left, your left, right, left...!" Never will forget it.

You really have little to no brains in that head of yours evidence by the logic you have shown in your two comments.

    • @StreetFighterFan86
      @StreetFighterFan86 9 лет назад +10

      Sgt Artyom Even more fail logic on your part in your second comment, lol. Why would I want Italy's colors on my Eagle? Italy's current colors did not exist back during the days of the Roman Empire and Republic and her people to which i am proud to have descended from. And if you were not an idiot you would not have asked why my symbol is an eagle, the eagle or Aquila in Latin is the symbol of both the Roman Republic/Empire and America among other nations. Thus I have the Eagle which represents both my Roman Heritage and my current American heritage, and the Red, White, and Blue because those are the colors of the American Republic of my birth to which I love.

    • @BrutalRD
      @BrutalRD 9 лет назад +10

      +jack smith
      Rather than severing things, the best way to resurrect the Empire would be to educate all children and re-educate all adults only in the classical latin (slowly destroying all latin languages in europe), educate everyone in living with the Roman virtues, and finally convert the majority to the Roman religion.
      A country with these characteristics would without doubt be ROMAN.

    • @xano2921
      @xano2921 9 лет назад +3

      +BrutalRD Italy is the heart of the Roman Empire, the Italians are the most similar to the ancient Romans -.- and no, destroy languages and cultures of Europe can not be done, they would destroy huge assets

    • @BrutalRD
      @BrutalRD 9 лет назад

      +TheAlivededChannel
      The appearance of the so called "Romantic" languages occurred due to the lack of education during the Medieval Ages. When the Germanic and Iranian tribes invaded the Roman Empire they used the Latin as the everyday language, so much that they ended up forgetting about their original languages (Gothic, Frankish, Vandal, Alanic, etc.). But since these emergent kingdoms didn't have a decent educational system for the non-nobility, people in all of Europa started to speak wrong Latin (they didn't know how to read and write also), the incorrect Latin became the Latin Languages.
      But a such a thing is unacceptable, there can be only one language in the Mediterranean.
      Latínus superábit barbárum et Roma Valébit. (and yes, I am only beginning to learn Latin)

    • @xano2921
      @xano2921 9 лет назад

      BrutalRD
      Brutal, where are you from? The latin is taught in all schools in Europe, expecially in Italy
      It is like saying "in America should only speak tribal languages" or "in Russia should speak the Mongolian"

    • @BrutalRD
      @BrutalRD 9 лет назад +1

      TheAlivededChannel
      You say that every school in Europe teaches Latin, I don't know how it is in the rest of Europe, but in Portugal it has become a truly forgotten language, which saddens me deeply, because the Portuguese in the aspect of Vocabulary is almost identical to the Latin words (I am starting to learn Latin), perhaps in some cases it's even closer to the source than the Italian (Lombardic) and Spanish (Wisigothic) languages.
      But it doesn't matter which language is more Roman like, these modern languages that we use on this day are nothing more than a very heavy burden, they have created among the Europeans: distrust, hatred and a misguided sense of patriotism. What better language is there to replace the French or the Italian or the Castillian than the Latin. Latin is immortal, the romance languages are nothing more foolish little children compared to their Glorious and latin father.
