5:05 I’m holding to my pillow tight. My heart is pounding and I can feel my blood rushing through my neck. Tears have been falling. I’ve needed this feeling for a long time. Thank you and Thank -The Who
Wow. I worked on this special, I was the assistant editor. So cool to see after so many years. We were lucky to have Roger come visit the edit! Such a thrill to meet a rock legend!
If you stop it right at around 2:49 up to 3:01, you're going to find out Roger Daltrey is the most handsome man in the world. Slow mo' it!! Love The Who.
Another Hit I've come to know by the WHO from the movie Reign o'er me ..with Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle. Sooo powerful! ..Another Roger Daltry Classic! Wow! Crazy
Damn Linda I have seen THE WHO 5 TIME'S going back to the 70s. Besides myself I believe you are the first person to call them genius you are absolutely right. PETE TOWNSHEND MUSICAL GENIUS nothing more to be said. His music is very underrated they say how good his work is. But like everyone else as soon as he passes away. Then people are going to say that he was a musical genius. How his music changed everything about rock and roll. It didn't have to be just 8. 3 minute songs anymore. Tommy changed everything and for a man really a kid in his early 20s to write and compose a rock opera and 2 do it again with quadrophenia. And who's next was songs from life house another rock opera. but he had a break down so they just put those songs on a album and it's WHO'S NEXT he did finish life house a few years ago. Am sure you know all of this but I just hate it when a person like Pete passes away then they are going to come out of the wood work to say how much of a musical genius he truly is.
@@lindaambrosino2130 yes Linda we are supposed to play THE WHO as loud as possible. It's why Pete Townshend has very bad hearing. SHIT when he was in his 30s he was told he had the hearing of a person in their 70s. Now that he is pushing 80s like to know how bad they are now. Rock on WHO queen 👑
Roger Daltrey was not in top form that night but he surely sang his heart out. He did also rarities like "The Song is Over", "Imagine a Man" and the spectacular "The Sea Refuses No River"... if you see the video, that night John Entwistle handled his bass to Pino Paladino.....
Hi Ken The drummer is Simon Phillips toured with The Who during 1989 tour also had played with Pete extensively .. The " conductor " is not Robert Plant his name is Michael Kamen and sadly passed away way too soon 3 thumbs down? Shove them up your ads or as the Brits say " arse" Lol.. Magical 2 nights at Carnegie Hall in 1994 for Roger's 50th birthday .. John and Pete in attendance too... Great memory cherished forever..
Great show, Roger's 50th birthday, if u get/watch the dvd u see goofballs in/near the front row-- trying and failing to get into the music with any dignity, embarrassing .
Great shame about the copy you have done. Sound is great but the image is distorted.....you got the image copy settings wrong or something......it is slightly stretched out.
So much energy from Roger. He is an Icon that will live forever in our hearts!
No doubt about that.
Everyone loves this man!

His finest hour and his greatness started in the 60’s, peaked early 70’s and never dropped off 🎉
Superb…
The Lady on percussion was digging it as much as I!
Bravo, Roger Daltrey & Co.
Roger Daltrey: one of the greatest in rock. Behold, and listen...
Couldn't agree more! :)
pete one of the great song writers!
themopar426, indeed he is seldom mentioned in the same breath as L&M, Ray Davis, Glimmer Twins, etc.
Best voice ever
Roger was on fire in the nineties, a few singer could match him in control and delivery of a song. And now there are even less that can match Roger.
on fire from day one and aint stopped lol
When you're talented the orchestra asks to play with you. Beautiful!
WOW! THANKS ballroomblitzkid1994!!!! Fantastic performance!!!! LOVE

Often imitated never duplicated. Roger Daltrey.

Roger! The Numbers one!!!
Excellent!
Wow ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I saw him on this tour, in Los Angeles. He also had John Entwistle ion bass though. Great show!
I love you so very much, Roger Daltrey!
And to think I almost threw away all my Vinyl WHO, and solo albums by Daltrey and Townsend.. originals in great condition.
The WHO, helps my mental health, but this single version keeps wanting to go on.....
Sublime song
Epic!
Love Passion
The essence of life
A wonderful jewel
Name of Rock...
Ken
I always got Roger's back! Lol🤗
What is it about great rock songs and orchestral accompaniment!?
This should of been a double cd
This was a fantastic tour, I believe I read Roger lost $ on this venture?
What a phenomenal cast of musicians!!!!
Is the rest of his band in there somewhere? I like that cymbal girl--I'd like to do that, looks kind of fun, Lol!
Piece of God on Earth ...

Margaret Gordy when you're backing up Daltry
Check out what we all do!!

Robert Plant is a good conductor
@mustafawee Plant was great when I saw that band.
Roger is so great but this time it was evident that Pete's energy was not around. I guess this was more a relaxed version of the song.
This wasn't included in the DVD was it?
Yup, it was. :)
@@ballroomblitzkid1994 What DVD was it?

Who is the drummer? Anyone know?
It's Simon Phillips.
After all this is his song

Ten times better than that Pub singer Robert Plant!
Wrong, and not true.
Led Zeppelin was more successful band than The Who you know
@@ooo1833 successful doesn't mean better. No one spoke to alienation and redemption better than the Who. Incredibly uplifting music.
Roger was a Pub singer also !!
I just don’t see it sorry
Not my favdy
Not my favourite

Doesn't work with an orchestra at all.
This is just ridiculous. Doesn't work at all.
This has to be the worst Daltrey vocal performances I have heard.
I actually strongly disagree. I think he is filled with emotion here.
He is really good at posing. But not the actual singing -- he doesn't really hit the notes.
Are you sure? Listen at him singing here: ruclips.net/video/HbUVTdJ020I/видео.html
Certainly sounds better on the 45 I have.
A god awful arrangement.
Is the music and singer even in the same key?
Margaret Cronin it is but with out the band going full blast it’s totally naked and empty
Doesn't quite work for me either.Great tune but ??
how to do it right. ruclips.net/video/d7yEqPMlQH0/видео.html
This is a terrible version it sucks.
Simon Philips is amazing in this but no Pete it’s not quite as powerful at all Roger is awesome but I do like zak better with the who
