  • Debra Fileta has identified the four seasons of marriage that correspond with our natural seasons - spring (new life and new love), summer (things get hot!), fall (showing our true colors), and winter (long days ahead). In this interview, she will help couples better understand the four seasons of healthy relationships, what to expect during each one, and how to carefully navigate them for a stronger marriage.

Yes it takes intentionality to keep a marriage strong. Me and my husband are learning this and not always expecting the other person to be the first to keep things new.

Yes. A healthy marriage is the result of two individuals who regularly and willingly take responsibility for their own growth. Trying to fix a spouse never works. We must learn to take self evaluation and be willing to change. Too many marriages have one person willing to grow and the another unwilling to change.

Thank you for this broadcast! I’m not married yet but I want to be one day and this is valuable.
I would love to find more episodes about preparing for marriage or even considering marriage and what young people can learn. We live in a culture that scared of commitment.

Wife wants a roommate who provides all for her and our kids but can’t even bring herself to say goodnight over many years of telling her that it’s the least she could do .... if not for my beautiful kids I’d be long gone. It’s the dead of summer, In the desert with no chance of rain.

What is with all these working women with young children?? Really ....leaving a 3 mo old to travel to talk about your book? Not a positive role model for Christian mothers .

I have to agree. This bothered me so much. In this day of zoom meetings, she could have done this from her home, but she even made light of “separating” - a three month old baby is more important than a meeting across the country…sorry!
