I absolutely love the joy you express in your bikepacking videos, Barry! It makes me smile to see someone having such an amazing time. And I get it: being a fellow long-distance mtb rider myself, it’s just so amazing the places we can see and the experiences we can have on two wheels. Never lose that spirit, amigo. And keep spreading the pedaling love. Oh yeah, and the Alps are special indeed. 😋👏
Thanks so much Rich! Yeah enjoying it a pushing through is the only way to keep going :-) for me landscapes can make all the difference, or one tiny descent can make the whole day and trip :-) Did a few more trips in Italy at the end of last year and it is incredible (films to come just need to edit more than riding haha)

You inspired me to discover places that I've never thought about. I'm always looking for new locations for my adventures, without being aware of the beauty of my land, and places 1 h by car from my home! Thanks!

Hi! We originally planned to use a lot of the Turino to Nice route which you can find the gpx file online, what we ended up doing was completely made up on the spot :-)
Great video, around minute 15 and 16 there are my local trails since I live in Bagnolo. In fact I can recognize many of the places in the video, of course being a local I have to point out that June is not the best choice to ride above 2000m here, it's much better from July to September...if you come back here take a look at the GTA (Grande Traversata delle Alpi) trail, it's mainly for hiking but with some adjustments could be done also with a MTB.
Thanks Matteo! Wow, what trails! they caught us out by surprise how good they were. It was late in the day, we couldn't get food and were just looking for somewhere to camp and we discovered them. Yes, we did find out we were early in the season haha. Will check out that trail, thanks very much
Awesome adventure and nice editing. Scenic route. Enjoy and continue having fun and inspiring us to follow your wheels. :) And the Italian food looks amazing and extra delicious. :) Congrats again guys. Agree with the comments below. Thumbs up !!! I am planning a trip crossing some parts of the alps this summer. It was summer or spring when you completed it? The idea is mtb bike packing. Would you mind to share the route (gpx). Thanks.
Hi, thanks very much! we went in spring but that really was not the best time. The obvious is snow, but the other main reason was it was in-between seasons so absolutely nothing was open and most villages were deserted. Luckily we had food for the week so survived. In terms of GPX, I could send it, but it was very made up on the spot and not all tracks were well used.
