If I was you I would NOT use eucalyptus mulch any where on the property. Their seeds are prolific and will germinate anywhere, anytime and they are the worst mess you'll ever have on your property. Drew is from Florida, he should know that those things are no good. Just a thought from a Florida girl who worked on removing the eucalyptus trees on Little Pine Island, Lee County.

Such a great tool!! Perhaps, if you line the trailer with a tarp, then blow the mulch in, it would be easier/faster to pull the tarp out and shake it down hill. We used this method during our fire clearing and it eliminated the need to shovel it out. Bringing back memories of good hard work and the need to maintain a safety zone. Carry on!!

It sounds like you are confusing mulch with compost. Mulch is just a ground cover. Compost is used as a fertilizer and mixed or combined with soil. You need a compost mound to put the mulch in and allow it to breakdown and sort of ferment.

Seems odd to cut down and salt all the eucalyptus trees cause they’re very flammable, then mulch them and spread them on your door step? Isn’t it all still flammable eucalyptus?

Brittany a word from a older wiser woman. Do not lift things that are too heavy, you are not a man and women push on their pelvic floor when they lift and can hurt them selves. I blew out my perineum lifting a heavy tub of detergent at my job. Workman compensation in Canada says a woman is not to lift more than 25 pounds, We are not machines. Is your eucalyptus mulch not flammable. I grew up in cedar country and was told don't use cedar mulch around your house as it is very flammable when dry. No eye protection cutting metal, you guys are giving this great gramma nightmares. Take care of yourself kids.On a positive note your land is looking a lot better as far fire is concerned and I look forward to seeing it in the future when you replant more appropriate trees. We have had so many wild fires in BC and Alberta Canada this year it is frightening. Many were arson related. Keep up the good work.

I will join in on the safety brigade. You two have no idea what your backs, heads, knees, shoulders, and hips are going to feel like in 20 years if you keep overtaxing your bodies. Then you won't be able to enjoy that lovely property. Work smarter, not harder. Use a machine to lift the boulders, use tarps with the mulcher, use helmets when biking and when around equipment, use safety glasses, protect those ears. I worked in physical rehab and injuries can really take a toll. PS ALWAYS wear gloves.

Britany, it made my back hurt to watch you lifing all thos heavy rocks and trimming, lifting and hauling all thos tree branches. It will take a toll on you and repitition over time will leave you with back, knee and arm problems later in life and it is PAINFUL. Go easy on your self. All the work I did on two separate properties in 30-40 years left me with two bad knees, surgeries on joints, and arthritis in my back. NOT FUN. Be gentle on yourself. Hire men to do that work and use machinery when you can. Chronic pain and disabilies caused by that kind of repetitive work can make you very miserable in later life. Take care of yourself.

Don't know it you want too or not but peppermint and spearmint planted around your house will slow down the mice getting in. Mice do not like mint but will jump over it so make a wide path. And even when you cut it, it smells great. Do not put any mulch around your house because the moisture under it will attract termites. But leave it far away from the house. But you can take cuttings of the limbs and put around inside your home to repell bugs and spiders. Just replace when they turn dry or moldy.

Be warned ...New Mulch need to stand unused for about 24 months before being put around plants
The acid need to leach out before being used
Or you will risk killing the plants you place fresh cut mulch around
