Congrats California, you kicked out the people who built this city. 😕

Lol how did some minimum wage hotel worker build this city? You can't even build a future for yourself bro.

How is California to blame lol. I am a Las Vegas local and the real issue is the city not providing high-paying jobs. Vegas continues to invest in industries that rely on tourism and tips, it has absolutely nothing to do with California lol!

Why dont tge media really focus on the number of investors outside this Country allows them to by. They own a huge percentage of the homes that they rent out setting the rates across the board. It increases housing prices as well.
Like start reporting on that more. We already know shit high.

You have all been spoiled for decades in Vegas. It’s still incredibly affordable today to buy in relation to most of the country. Stop dreaming about buying a home for 100k, those days are over! Now it’s about 500-600k, work hard & save your money

You have to be desperate or stupid to pay these inflated house prices.

@@Ms.MD7Home prices aren’t magically crashing downward. People like you will never buy anyways, it’s shelter, it’s not a stock play. Trying to time the market. Californians are still going to move to Vegas due to its close proximity and you will be saying the same thing for years while you rent forever.

@@Rob_G716you couldn’t have said it any better, home prices are not going to magically fall. This is not a stock play, it’s shelter … spot on.

Just to achieved the said word, "American dream" and die not able to finish the mortgage, hence called "mortuum vadium" in latin which means "death pledge" in English. Open your eyes and use the little left of common sense of yours, people! Your future self will call you, "good job for not dreaming the American way, but living in reality". Hasta la vista, my fellow citizens, choose wisely as you are the only one who has the power given by the God Almighty in heaven to build, restore, or also to destroy your future.

Love how the guy from out of state is telling us to get out of our own 🙄 I wish more of my colleagues in the real estate industry would fight for corrective action because this is obviously coming to a point of not being sustainable for the average person living here in Las Vegas. Our goal should not be to just buy and sell properties it should also wholeheartedly be for us to help people achieve the American dream without going broke

As someone from Cali, I've heard many people make this statement and I find it ridiculous. No one should be priced out of their own community; I still believe the housing prices and demand are overinflated as no one considers foreign investment as being a large factor to those figures.

Good for him for achieving the American dream
But you can’t just move to another city and tell the ppl who have been living here for years
well you can’t afford it then you should move

If people "have been living here for years" then maybe they should have bought a house while they were cheap, or while rates were low. You snooze, you lose.

Inventory at an all-time high.. buyers having the same incentive as investors is never transparent for community planning and seems like the affordable remarks as H.U.D. is related is, proving to langer in the weather seems ... rotten inventory for rent and lease so people don't get too cozy.

Californians and baby boomers are some of the reasons people especially the millennials and Zers can’t afford a home and I don’t see it changing anytime soon.

Yup they squander their money in California, sell the house in cali buy one in Vegas and continue the process. Baby boomers just need to kick the bucket already

In every generation, people were sent to wars without a choice, some during the depression, some are luckier than other generations, and today is the generation of Walmart tents and mobile living in the street, in the middle of no where, and on the road. Life goes on....and I'm more sorry for the next generations ahead as a 41 years old young man even though I don't have any children and or planning to. I'm grateful to be here today. May God continue to bless America!

I would never purchase this cheap material made wafer board property.
    And you don't have privacy.
I would purchase some land and put up a double trailer and have some $$ left over and No neighbors
