  • This rock-solid workbench is made from some reclaimed wood I was able to source locally. While this workbench weighs an absolute ton, it is rigid and loaded with functionality to help change the way I do work in the shop. In this video I walk through the process of how to make this bench and even provide a few vairations of how it can be used to hold work pieces. There are also build plans available if you're wanting to build one of these yourself.

How did you find out about that lumber. There’s a couple shipping ports close by and I’d like to see if I could get any lumber from them

One of the guys in our local Facebook woodworking group worked down there and shared that information with the broader group.

What are you using for your hand drill press?

  • @jonbooker1050

Being a new woodworker, I learned a lot of new techniques from this build. What I do want to ask is what is the drill press type device you use in conjunction with your drill? Thanks

Hey Jon, I bought the drill guide from WoodPeckers. It's top notch in terms of quality and has allowed me to drill perfectly straight holes anywhere in my shop. This is the one I use in the video: amzn.to/3UUTTAg

Maybe I can help - what sizes are you after? The rough lumber or the surfaced lumber?
