I enjoy these annual reviews. You really put plants through their paces and hearing which ones perform well is so helpful. I have learned so much from you over the years. Thank you!
You really did have an outstanding garden year Laura! Congratulations!! And tip of the hat to Paul & Bethany and to Aaron and the kiddos. Your gardening videos are such a joyful way to start my day. Thank you so much and looking forward to more beauty and fun from you and the extended family in 2025. 💖
So, so much hard work. I never heard you or Aaron complain. Thank you for sharing everything with us. I've learned a lot - one thing is that it's alright to cut a plant down or to replace a plant - I won't hurt the plant's feelings. Hoping 2025 will be a great year for you, your family and coworkers!
What a lovely riot of color! I must say that the kitties performed wonderfully in the garden this season, too. Happy New Year to the entire GA team! Thank you for brightening my mornings.
You have the most amazing life! Beautifying your property IS your job (and of course all the hard work you put into the videos, which are so relaxing to watch and educational) Almost 2 million plant loving subscribers and you deserve even more! Love this channel, Laura.
You have produced gardens that rival any I've ever seen in England. You must be very proud of your gardening accomplishments. It's been a year of videos that I never tire of watching. Thank you! Happy New Year to you all!💕🎊🎉🍆🎇
💚I always love Laura's yearly plant review! The Tiara Pink & Blue (purple) Petunias and the Queen Nectarine Agastache stole my heart in 2024 and I'll be growing them in my garden next Spring. So excited! 💗💜🧡One suggestion, if I may, is to label each plant in the video OR have a list in the description because some plants are crazy to spell like Chitalpa, even if you're a good speller! It took me and Google a few tries to get the correct spelling with adding "perennial" in the search. Plus seeing and hearing the plant name ingrains it into one's brain, which I've found very helpful as I grow older. 😘
Your videos are a highlight of my day. I have learned so much from you this year and have applied my new knowledge to my own gardening experience. I appreciate you!
Laura, yes to repeating the geraniums/purple tunias in front of the Hartley. It's obvious you really love it and that it makes you really happy! Don't worry about creating all new looks for us.... you can change things up in other areas but a repeat IS OKAY! It's so pretty
First, I love your content. Thank you for being positive and family friendly. ❤️ You may already know this, but your videos are still much quieter than they used to be. Have a wonderful day!
The vista bubblegum area was my absolute favourite this past year. Those with the hydrangeas right behind them were soooo beautiful. I also loved the white begonias in the persephone garden, something about whites with greens in calming to me :)
Everything you do turns out beautifully! My style is much more environmental and native and either sink or swim after a month of babying when I plant them. I save my annuals for containers on one of my patios or deck and follow Aaron’s idea of one plant per pot . I have begun winter sowing and starting geraniums thanks to your inspiration. Best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful new year. Look forward to seeing what fantastic projects you have in 2025. Plant more trees!!!!!🌲🌲
Thanks for everything! You’ve pushed us all forward and sideways and we’re ready for even more. When I planted a tree two days after Christmas in zone 5, it was done with confidence based on your lessons. My landscape will continue to evolve with what I see and learn from you. Happy New Year, a great year for growing!
So thankful for all the work you do and all the information you bring from all that work! The annual review is always fun. One thing you use to do is put the variety name on the screen while you are describing the plant. This video had a couple, but there were a few times I had to rewind to get the variety again. Your property and family are amazing! Thank you for all you do!
Anyone else take a long time to watch this video, from looking up plants? Thank you Laura for kicking off my planning for 2025! Happy New Year and gardening everyone!
This was a fantastic video, Laura, and I loved that it was in the Hartley! Thanks for all you and Aaron, as well as all of your staff and family, do to make these videos happen. I start every day with your videos and on weekends I rewatch a fav. Your and Aaron’s energy, enthusiasm and love of family are so awesome! Wishing everyone a healthy, peaceful and happy new year. 🌼 🌺 🌻 🌷 🎆
All of your gardens are beautiful! Was just thinking how nice it would be to hear you and Aaron do a show on your journey from your first garden and jobs to how it transitioned to your dream life now.
it's so fun to revisit the past season. Yours continues to be more beautiful each year. This year Laura, was purely magical. I love rewatching your past videos and each time I do, I see and learn something new. I Thank You for gifting us and sharing so much of your life with us. The more we watch you and your family, the closer we feel to you, and we become to think of you and yours as extended family. I look forward to sharing all the new ideas and trials and failures (so few of those though), and all the beauty you will bring us in 2025. From gardening, to cooking, baking, shopping trips, the kids, you and Aaron together, your family, it's all what keeps us coming to you. Life is real with you and we love to be a part. Wishing You, and ALL your family and Paul and Bethany a VERY HAPPY, HEALTHY, PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!
Huge yes to the chitalpa’s ability to laugh off the heat! I’m in Zone 8, Chihuahuan Desert, and they’re everywhere here. I definitely want to get my hands on this variety.
I watch your videos all year long and always enjoy the garden tours. On this dreary winter day, the gardens looked especially glorious! Happy New Year!
Loved this so much! I don't have nearly as much space as you do, but I'm going to pick a few of my favorites and try them out in the spring. Can't wait!
Happy New Year & Happy birthday to your dad today. Love the yearly recap & suggestions for planting for this new year! I love so many of your suggestions and adding to my list for 2025 growing and adding to my garden. What will you do without your planters at the drive or did you move them? (The container competition)
Knew super Vista bubblegum would make the top of the annual list. So beautiful along with formal garden! So colorful but also loved the white begonias in Persephone garden. Love the soft colors of pinks with touches of yellow and "blues."
I absolutely loved this video. You and your whole family are so pleasant to watch. I have learned so much from you! I have always gardened, but you make it fun to watch someone else dealing with different plants and problems that go along with it. Love to you and your family!
Thank you so much, Laura. Without you, my yard wouldn't be getting as beautiful as it is. I have learned so much from you. I take notes during your monthly and annual updates. I wish for you and your entire family a very Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Everyone! This is a perfect time to do a recap on what did so well last summer, so notes can be taken and plans for seed starting and shopping lists can be made. Plus it’s so fun to see what beautiful successes you had, Laura. Your gardens just keep getting more and more glorious every year! Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC came to my mind! I need a green thumbs up icon. 👍👍👍💚💚💚👏👏👏
I’d love to see the salmon pink bulls eye geraniums paired with the yellow saffron finch supertunias (I think it’s what they’re called) that would be awesome 🌼 🌸
I love a good recap and I'll save this one! I was so sleepy last night I couldn't watch but now is good, too! Happy New Year to you, Aaron, the kids, your family, and all the GA folks! Even all the subscribers! ❤🎉
This was the best video to get me in a good mood this morning! Thank you so much! I’m taking notes and drinking coffee. After the video I’m going to see what flowers will work in my zone 7b! Thank you!
These types of "review" videos are so helpful! Saves me a lot of time looking through all the videos trying to find certain plants that might perform well for me. Thanks GA!
THANK YOU SO MUCH 💥‼️💥This was fun as usual. I was happy to see how happy you were about the RED flowers !! I do realize the color is so strong it is necessary to place them very strategically but also a fun challenge. I think red looks best amongst white, and warm reds amongst warm colors, cool reds against cool ....but the best is next to white. It is interesting how unique a rich red can be. But I'm glad you found such joy with them. Beautiful year, and remember, THE BEST IS YET TO COME ‼️💥🙌💥
Seeing all the beautiful garden again reminds me of all the hours I have been educated, entertained and grateful for you and yours. 🎉 May we all have a happier New Year.
Love the video. The perfect garden moment hasn’t happened yet in my garden. Would you consider making a garden design video? I don’t know what I keep doing wrong. 😂
Laura, I legit thought out loud as you said it, "hellebores" for early interest lol. Zone 4 gardener here, hello to all my Montana and Canada gardening neighbors! 😁👋
Thank you for your inspiration. You make me want to run to a nursery! And start seeds all at the same time. 😊 So excited for spring to come. Thank you all Garden Answer!
Love this information! So appreciate when you do this! Not only is it fun to review your garden but it’s also so helpful for us needing help with our planting for spring. Thank you!
what a beautiful and successful 2024 you've had!! i am so inspired to get out in my gardens, clean up, shift a few things, and add some things.... every video i've watched over the last 10 years has inspired me either in the garden or in personal growth (just be kind, right?)... love your channel... love your zest for life, family, and love... Happy New Year to everyone at GA and here on the channel - here's to a fabulous 2025! ...🥂🥂and an early Happy Birthday to your dad!!!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
Happy New Year's Eve! What a beautiful way to end 2024. I'm still trying to get my chitalpa, everyone is out. I'll keep on trying because I want to experience the aroma, yours look so beautiful. Thank you for all the great plant ideas. Happy 2025. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the reminder and for the help in planning flower beds for 2025 ♥ Thank you for a beautiful and information filled 2024 watching plants and children grow ♥ Here's to a wonderful 2025 ♥
Good January 2 to everyone. I am new to gardening. While I did have a few bushes, in one section, in a new section I planted a whole bunch of different flowers and was surprised how well it came out. Unfortunately, the best of the were the Dahlias. When they died, I waited a week and cut then pulled out the tubers, storing them in the garage in clothes baskets wrapped in newspaper back in mid November. I just checked them now. They look dehydrated. Nothing like what you showed a year ago...the skins are shriveled up on mine, and feel soft. I believe it is almost a total loss.
I’m definitely planning to plant the Supertunia Vista Bubblegum this year-you’ve truly inspired me! In fact, I’ve decided to start my own garden channel, thanks to your motivation. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and for all the hard work you put into your content! 🫶🏼🪴🪻👩🌾
Oh Laura all your flower garden's are always so very beautiful. I really enjoyed your video today. I always look forward to this type of video. It really helps me. I just wished those darn rabbits and deer are eating up my flowers worse and worse. Thank you for sharing this with us. I absolutely love channel. You are always smiling and so cheerful, you always make me feel better❤
I loved your spring containers this year the yellow and blues were absolutely stunning 😍 Thanks for all the lovely content, a true source for inspiration. Happy New Year 🥳 I’m looking forward to 2025.
Loved listening to this and seeing pictures. Feeling inspired! If you take garden submissions this winter as in previous years, would you consider categories by garden size? I always enjoy seeing large gardens and am inspired but for those of us who have suburban sized lots or maybe just a couple of flowerbeds, it would be fun to see practical examples of plantings. Just an idea! I love everything y’all put out.
This recap has been so extremely helpful! I especially appreciate you showing the plants at different stages through the year. Happy 2025 to you & the family.
Love the recap of this past years favorites. I will definitely be on the look out for most. I tried ordering the red twig dogwoods last year. Unfortunately they wouldn't ship to my area. I'm in Zone 8B, so that's probably the reason. Maybe too hot? But I know your summer Temps exceeds ours in the summer. Need to find out why. Don't think I have ever seen any here in any landscapes. I feel you when you say you're ready to start planting. Can't wait to see what seeds you will be planting pretty soon now to get them all ready for containers an in ground. I've got to re-watch this video with pen and paper ready to write down the names. I know I will be ordering seeds from Andrews. I trust that they are heirloom seeds,an I want a good tasting tomato. In ground are usually good that I plant, but for some reason the core of the tomato is huge and runs all down the center, and very little of the tomato is good to eat. Use to it seems in years past many years I must say, the core was mostly at the stem part of course to hold the weight of the fruit. It's edible of course, but I try to pick out the slices from towards the bottom to put on my sandwich or sliced on my plate as a side. Happy Birthday Day to your Dad,an a very Happy New Year. May it be blessed with good health, happiness, and prosperity. Today is December 31st. It's mine and my husband's birthday. Our Temps the last few days have been in the sixties. But a very cold snap is about to hit all of the states or that's the predicted weather forecast. Hope they miss this one.
So many beautiful plants - thank you for the recap! From where did you order your bullseye salmon geranium seeds? The ones I looked up have a wide variation of prices and number of seeds. Wishing your family and the GA community a New Year that’s healthy, happy and prosperous! 🎉
Thank you for sharing your favorites! Truly gorgeous and inspiring. Gave me so many ideas I would like to try. I may have to expand my gardens! Blessings!
Hi Laura, what a great video! Thank you for creating more inspiring content, I’ve been watching you for a few years now and you’ve inspired me a lot. I’m only 17 and you’ve inspired me to create my own channel and teach others about growing their own food. You are a a true inspiration to many of us gardeners. Thank you for everything you do!❤
Great plant review! Could you give a conifer tutorial-what is a pine, cypress, juniper etc. I have a hard time telling the difference and the best growing conditions for each. 😊
I needed this video!!! I’m getting ready to plan for my garden and a landscaping project! And I immediately ordered the blue grama grass seeds as you said it! So thank you!! Your amazing! This will be my first year growing seeds myself because of your encouragement and the knowledge you’ve shared!
Parterre Garden - just a thought, one season could you see yourself ever planting in blue hydrangeas!! (In the 4 boxwood beds under the trees) I know your soil would most likely have to be amended quite a bit and maybe even often, so it might need too much fussing with. But wouldn’t it be a stunning view with your boxwoods surrounding beds full of gorgeous blue hydrangeas. Then at the end of the season you could plant them in the landscape to naturalize. I just think all those different textures and colours of green in your landscape right there backing and surrounding baby blue hydrangeas outlined against the greyish blue gravel, and the Hartley behind;😂 would be stunning! 😍😍❤️ Thanks for letting us enjoy your beautiful garden ❤ it gives so much inspiration ❤
I sure enjoyed your channel this year…..every year! You make learning about plants enjoyable and hands-on. Many thanks to you, Aaron and the GA team. Will this list of plants be posted by the way?
Hey 👋🏼 Laura, Happy 😊 New Year 2025 CHICAGO 💕💕💕…bubble gum pink display is gorgeous💕!! I know u love purple too but pink flowers 🌸 are my thing! I love how pink (anything)contrast with green lawn during the summer months, etc.💕🤣🤣
Hope the GA Team has a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Thank you for all you do!!
I love these yearly recaps! I've used your yearly reviews on many occassions to plan our garden. Thanks for all the work!
I enjoy these annual reviews. You really put plants through their paces and hearing which ones perform well is so helpful. I have learned so much from you over the years. Thank you!

You are at almost 2 million subs!!!!!!!!! You are deserving for sure and I love your videos so much - as well as your uplifting spirit.

❤ Ditto to all that you said.

The editing on this is fantastic. The plant tags popping up was a cherry on top in the red section. Absolutely fabulous. ❤
Huge yes to the chitalpa’s ability to laugh off the heat! I’m in Zone 8, Chihuahuan Desert, and they’re everywhere here. I definitely want to get my hands on this variety.

What will you do without your planters at the drive or did you move them? (The container competition)
Please more videos like this! Just what we needed in the middle of winter ❤❤❤
Knew super Vista bubblegum would make the top of the annual list. So beautiful along with formal garden! So colorful but also loved the white begonias in Persephone garden. Love the soft colors of pinks with touches of yellow and "blues."

Happy New Year All The Best for 2025 ❤x
So many beautiful plants - thank you for the recap! From where did you order your bullseye salmon geranium seeds? The ones I looked up have a wide variation of prices and number of seeds.
Wishing your family and the GA community a New Year that’s healthy, happy and prosperous! 🎉
This was fun and inspiring!
Happy New Year to Team Garden Answer. May you grow from strength to strength and we get to watch the beautiful successes along the way ❤
What an amazing 2024 ! You have accomplished so much, and I’ve enjoyed watching it all 😊
Thank you for sharing your favorites!
Thank you for everything you do!❤
Beautiful spring and summer review, Perfect with coffee 👩🏼🌾 as it is cool and moist outside. Happy New Year
Great plant review! Could you give a conifer tutorial-what is a pine, cypress, juniper etc. I have a hard time telling the difference and the best growing conditions for each. 😊
Those Bullseye Salmon geraniums are so gorgeous. I have ton of red, white and pink. I need some salmon.
I needed this video!!! I’m getting ready to plan for my garden and a landscaping project! And I immediately ordered the blue grama grass seeds as you said it! So thank you!! Your amazing! This will be my first year growing seeds myself because of your encouragement and the knowledge you’ve shared!
What a BEAUTIFUL video!!! I never get tired of looking at your garden. 💙💚💛🧡💜 Liz
Thank you Garden Answer for such a wonderful year of gardening. You are such an inspiration. Can’t wait to see what 2025 brings.
Thanks for letting us enjoy your beautiful garden ❤ it gives so much inspiration ❤
Loved all the plants you spoke about. Nice range of choices! Thanks for sharing your choices.❤
I sure enjoyed your channel this year…..every year! You make learning about plants enjoyable and hands-on. Many thanks to you, Aaron and the GA team. Will this list of plants be posted by the way?
Thank you, Laura. I took many notes.
What an awesome teacher you are! Is there a list of what you talked about somewhere?
Thank you
