How is it possible to clean using any cleaner (even PG-25) without having to remove it by rinsing it all out vs. buffing the upholstery? Wouldn't the elements in the cleaner just be further "pushed into" the fabric?
Because the pads are very absorbent so they remove a lot of the soil and applied cleaner. Are they going to remove *all* of the soil and cleaner? Nope, but neither does hot water extraction. I hot water extract carpets at 550 psi and with somewhere around 200° heat and even with all that flushing it won't remove 100% of the soil or cleaner I applied. The real advantage to this low moisture cleaning on upholstery is it virtually eliminates the problems that come along with hot water extracting upholstery, mainly wicking from getting it too wet. 99% of the issues I deal with are from upholstery and upholstery only represents about 1% of my business.
I know a lot of cleaners that clean upholstery this way. I will say that it almost always eliminates wicking issues and gives good results. I will still HWE upholstery occasionally if necessary, but prefer the low moisture method. As for being professional, I don't think the customers much care as long as I do a good job.
@@AllAmericanMack I do more carpet cleaning than upholstery and I hate it hope this helps I’m gonna buy some purely green 25 and give it a go thanks 🙏🏼
I don't use any encaps. I've tried them (many very popular ones) and not only did they not work better, they didn't even do as good of a job as the Purely Green 25. I'm not a fan of leaving polymers either on upholstery or in carpets because they build up over time. They tell you that they keep the carpets clean longer but if you ever flush out carpets that have been encapped a few times, you'll see the mess they leave behind.
you did great and the results were also, usually when I di it I agitate it with a brush first before using the vlm machine

Where you get those type of microfiber towels from?
They are 8" microfiber pads from directmopsales.com I get all my microfibers from them.
Which orbital is that
This one. I've been happy with it so far. www.harborfreight.com/power-tools/polishers-buffers/8mm-random-orbit-6-in-da-polishersander-64528.html
@@AllAmericanMack thanks Mac. I picked up the speed polisher by accident first, and fucked up my test upholstery lol. Good looking out!
Maybe you can explain for starters what VLM means??
VLM stands for 'very low moisture' which is a cleaning process that uses much less water than steam cleaning.
Thank you for the quick response!
Hi I hate upholstery too would this be considered a professional way of doing it?? I use a hot water extractor

@@AllAmericanMack thanks again I really appreciate it 👍🏻
I see why you dont like doing upholstery, they just need a new couch. Im wondering why you didnt do any extraction?
I hate doing extraction on upholstery even worse lol.
you should try using a rotary... and not the random orbital your stalling out the pad and that wasting alot of your time...
