Someone explain to me why Colbert and Copper give away the ending of Nightmare Ally in this interview. They act like they aren’t giving anything away, then 20 minutes into the film I’m like wait is that how it ends? I thought, no, they wouldn’t do that. Then half way through the film I realize that scene isn’t happening anytime soon, and they did give away the ending. If you want to see Nightmare Alley but don’t want to know how it ends, don’t watch the clip of the film they show in the interview. @@nickm.5931 Del Toro's on the record of wanting people to know what will happen in the ending ASAP while watching the film-in various interviews and scene breakdowns of the geek escape sequence he all but shouts the basic story beat. This is because Del Toro wants people to focus on the why and how not the what of the story beat. I don't think people watching just this clip will get the ending is both damnation and salvation.
The 1947 version of "Nightmare Alley" includes that scene, but forties era standards demanded a happy ending so the movie goes on another 8 to 10 minutes longer than it should have. Del Toro had the right idea ending it where he did without the obligatory "Happy Ending".
Funniest entrance ever! Not like we needed another reason to adore Bradley Cooper. And Stephen is such a rockstar for getting in on the workout. I would drop dead if I tried to run around like that right now I am so out of shape from being a lazy ass during Covid

I saw it at the cinema here, and there was not one other patron in the screening room! Well, or in the entire venue now that I think of it. Really odd experience.
Nightmare Alley was surprisingly dope! I only went to see it because I was bored and I was absolutely amazed👏🏽 The entire cast was phenomenal, but Cate Blanchett stole the show👩🏼..... wonderful film👍🏽
Yes but speaking of which, I remember in his character he was compared to someone else with his success status and he responded “same grid, different thread.” And in this case him accepting the geek roll is almost entirely off grid and beyond happiness for him? Lol
Yes, that was unfair to show the ending in this interview. I find this film very dark, but very sad somehow. I can’t imagine that circus or carnival really used to work this way in the old times. It sounds like the games from the ‘Hunger Games’ movie or some other games from the ancient times.
Would it be possible to number these, or have them appear in order? Just so we don't have to guess and check which section comes first, middle (and sometimes middle2, middle 3, middle4) and last?
Don't forget to add on being a singer/musician, a very good writer, actor, director, oh and also speaks very beautiful French which he learned in his school days I believe. I bet he's also a good athlete and boomerang thrower. Probably good at charades and Monopoly too.

...what a entrance !!! best I've seen . (p.s. Stephen Colbert is a G.D. ** "Genius )
NOTE: IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE, *DO NOT WATCH THIS INTERVIEW.*
Oh my gosh, why would they show one of the final scenes of the movie? It's supposed to be a big surprise/climax, and it gives much away if you watch it before the movie... Strange decision.
It's foreshadowed multiple times! You'd have to be really not paying attention not to see it coming by the halfway point.
Because Del Toro intended for people to know the ending ASAP
@@PhilipKaskela Trying to justify them revealing a movie's climactic ending is ridiculous, just don't even try
@@mitchmiecielica5017 lol
@@nickm.5931 Del Toro's on the record of wanting people to know what will happen in the ending ASAP while watching the film-in various interviews and scene breakdowns of the geek escape sequence he all but shouts the basic story beat.
This is because Del Toro wants people to focus on the why and how not the what of the story beat.
I don't think people watching just this clip will get the ending is both damnation and salvation.
The 1947 version of "Nightmare Alley" includes that scene, but forties era standards demanded a happy ending so the movie goes on another 8 to 10 minutes longer than it should have. Del Toro had the right idea ending it where he did without the obligatory "Happy Ending".
great interview, great dudes .. but why are you showing the end of the film bro
Funniest entrance ever! Not like we needed another reason to adore Bradley Cooper. And Stephen is such a rockstar for getting in on the workout. I would drop dead if I tried to run around like that right now I am so out of shape from being a lazy ass during Covid
Get in shape and start to exercise like NOW!! Even if in baby steps but just do it!!
Adorable. I think he snorted crack before stepping on-stage-but still adorable!
The first thing I thought after the movie clip was how Bradley’s eyes looked dead. So very different from how he looks in real life. Totally freaked me out.
BRADLEY COOPER ROCKS ON THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT !!!
He's still funny and bloody gorgeous!
Hey there my beautiful fan.
I want to say a big thank you for all your love and support towards me and my career. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS 🌹

Anybody sees the difference in Stephen's interview style when he actually has seen the movie or is really interested in the guest?
Hope he wins an Oscar soon. He is such a cool guy.
you dont win an oscar for being cool
@@kimi9572 Ok, say that to Brad Pitt.
_Thanks for all the love and support. Seriously blown away by the love from all of you… thank you all._
Holy crap. They just flat out show the end of the movie!?
Yay a new Cooper interview
What a great actor! 🌼❤️
Hey there my beautiful fan.
I want to say a big thank you for all your love and support towards me and my career. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS 🌹
I can’t believe they showed that scene from the movie. How was that allowed by the studio or Guillermo del Toro?
And I can't believe how many a-holes in the comments section have obliviousy spoiled it for the rest of us.
@@melanies.6030 Did you see any trailers and see Bradley Cooper looking like that at any point? There are other clips they could have shown.
Amazing movie
“How about as a person”. This dude is so real. I’ve always enjoyed his work, but my respect for him grows the more I learn about him “as a person”.
_Thanks for all the love and support. Seriously blown away by the love from all of you… thank you all._
And THAT'S how you get Hasbro to send you an advance copy of their 1:1, movie accurate proton pack.
Bradley Cooper ❤️
Isn't Cooper also the voice of Rocket Raccoon? Kind of amazing what he did with his voice.
_Thanks for all the love and support. Seriously blown away by the love from all of you… thank you all._
WTH? Why are they showing this scene? Out of every other scene, they are showing this? Who's in charge of marketing this movie?
Can't catch the Covid if Covid can't catch you!
Not usually sold on a movie by these puff piece interviews. However this one worked, I'm really interested in seeing this now.
I saw it at the cinema here, and there was not one other patron in the screening room! Well, or in the entire venue now that I think of it. Really odd experience.
Aww...no mention of "limitless"? So underrated great movie
Juicy!?! 😂😂😂 Gotta love that band!
Right!!! Love that band!!
I started singing after they stopped playing.
That scene shattered me.
Not a word about Nightmare Alley creator Lindsay Gresham here wrote one of the most underrated novels ever.
Nightmare Alley was surprisingly dope! I only went to see it because I was bored and I was absolutely amazed👏🏽 The entire cast was phenomenal, but Cate Blanchett stole the show👩🏼..... wonderful film👍🏽

@@bradleycooper6696 yes Bradley its so great knowing you also tomcruise6696 as well 🤔
Legend. Looks like Bradley grabbed some more Limitless pills.
Or some of John Mulaneys old coke stash xD
We all want some "more" Limitless pills
Seen the movie. They should not have used that clip
Lol I can't believe they just used the final shot as a promo clip.
Please include SPOILER disclaimer next time.
When is Steven going to interview Derren Brown???? Can't wait to see the movie. Love Bradley Cooper!!
as good as it was, I'm surprised they showed the final scene of the movie
Yes weird clip to show!
Well for those who haven't seen it...now we know.
What the fuck that's literally the last shot of the film, why did they go with THAT clip!?
What a energy Bradley have . He is very athletic This is great and funny interview.
Hey there my beautiful fan.
I want to say a big thank you for all your love and support towards me and my career. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS 🌹
Would it be possible to number these, or have them appear in order? Just so we don't have to guess and check which section comes first, middle (and sometimes middle2, middle 3, middle4) and last?
I watched this movie last night. Oh my God… Amazing!!!
Hey there my beautiful fan.
I want to say a big thank you for all your love and support towards me and my career. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS 🌹
I now have a new dream job as the man bracing the camera man gently with one hand
Both of them are really fast on their feet. I couldn't do that!
I don't know any other man who is as gorgeous, sexy and so hilarious as Bradley 🤣
So true 😆
Don't forget to add on being a singer/musician, a very good writer, actor, director, oh and also speaks very beautiful French which he learned in his school days I believe. I bet he's also a good athlete and boomerang thrower. Probably good at charades and Monopoly too.

He's so full of life.
Why would they choose THAT clip? Like... wow. What a terrible clip. Anyone who's seen the movie knows what I'm talking about
It was literally the ending
I saw the movie after watching this interview and I didn't know ahead at all that this would be the end .... actually they have away nothing they didn't say that this is the end ..and you don't know what will happen till you watch the whole movie
This guys is so smart. Bradley 🍿
That subtle feeling of something supernatural coming but it never does was wonderful.
_Thanks for all the love and support. Seriously blown away by the love from all of you… thank you all._
I could've named a few other actors, including Tobias Funke, who would've at least shed a tear in that shot.
The original great and wonderful. Watch it. Enjoyable.
Everybody complaining but this ending perfectly reflects the beginning of the film. Its makes it rewatchable.
This is why I dont watch any trailers or interviews until after the movie.
I'm so glad I watched the film before this video.
This got a thumbs up JUST for the entrace if nothing else, lol
He scared the hell out of me when he started running.......
Go see this movie y'all. It's brilliant
Best entrance ever!
#WHAZZUP Brad! #bradleycooper #Stephencolbert ... #goodvibes
Knew his character can be played by another star as big as his with this beautiful movie but he did it well.
Thanks for your continuous love and support♥️♥️
For how long have you been a fan of mine Joyce T??
Why the hell did they show the promo clip scene??? SUCH A MAJOR SPOILER !!!!!!!
Nightmare Alley was awesome. Saw it opening weekend and saw it again last week. They don’t rly make movies like this one anymore
