I still remember the first joke I heard Sarah Silverman tell.

Robert Duncan McNeil addressed this in the most recent episode of The Delta Flyers on 4/21/24. Robert never had to stand on an apple box (nor did he request it) since he was already much taller than she was. He also reached out to Tim Russ and asked him if he ever kissed Sarah and he said no.
Sarah was in just about everything in the late 90s and early 2000s. I always consider it a treat to find her on some random show I'm watching! One of my favorites. Love her!

That's the kind of thing they'd do to make Tom Cruise (5'7") taller than Nicole Kidman (5'11"). She could be misremembering - it was close to 30 years ago. But whatever, I still think she's great.
@@kindablue1959 her heels would only have to be about 4-5 inches (they wouldn’t be the exact same height but close enough). The box he stood on wouldn’t have to be that high though, just high enough to put him above her.

I'm not going to lie, I will never stop being disappointed by the fact Sarah Silvermans character wasn't made long term, I read a rumor that said they were looking at adding a cast member and it was going to be the time traveling girl from the 90's or the character we know as 7 of 9. I love 7 of 9 as a character but dag nabbt I would have loved to seen the development of the 90's satellite monitoring character. Mostly because it was Sarah Silverman and I just appreciate her work.

It was the only Voyager I liked (and I'm big Trek fan, but could not get into Voyager), and it was because of Silverman. I had seen her before (besides her brief SNL) and when I saw her in it, it made it instantly watchable. Also, it was not a bad story.

I literally did this with a work colleague, he was hurt and annoyed when I said we weren't particularly friends, but my point was, we didn't see each other outside work.
Yeah, people don't really use the big boy words like acquaintance, so everyone is "friends." Guys have a very low bar. But i'm friendly with people i work with, and may even have numbers for work related stuff, but I really don't socialize. i just get the hell out of there. I guess you just have to say, "Oh yeah, we're friends," but you use that distancing thing where you elongate certain words, as if to keep them at arms length.

In the latest Delta Flyers podcast, Robbie McNeil (who played Paris) said he was disappointed to hear Sarah’s comments that he demanded to stand on an apple box to kiss her. And that she kissed Tim Russ (Tuvok) in real life - Robbie is 6’1 and Sarah is like 5’7 so why would he want that.
