My husband and I love the Café near the mermaids. We are from Germany and travel to Tunisia in the winter months. Thank you for the vlog. We miss Tunisia (last visit in 2019) and hope to come back this year. We enjoy the Bardo museum, carthage and the landscape of Cap Bon. The food is lovely

Hey Willie, if you're still in Tunisia and feeling adventurous you should visit Chennini in the south and stay there for a day or two. Its an old berber village which is now mostly left by its old inhabitants but it still has a little hotel and a couple of people living there. There you will find true tranquility and piece from the hustle and bustle of the city and a magnificient panorama. The south of tunisia is a completely different country compared to its north.

There are beautiful views from the top of the medina . We got locked in one evening . We were enjoying our strawberry juice at the cafe and watching the town all lit up in the dark . When we went to leave the big door was locked. The security man heard our cries and let us out through a side door 😂 happy memories
Hi , it has moved on a bit , since my trip 50 years ago . Nothing changes for the conducted tour , got caught on that one , and only paper money excepted ? NO coins . So the kids earn some money and took us to places we would never have seen . Enjoy your trip and thank you for the video 😉👍

Where did you stay? I stayed at El Moradi in Yasmine Hammamet. Hoping to go again this year. Thank you for the video. There are some secret gardens around the corner. That's the Medina near the mermaids. There is a lovely restaurant there that is open and you can watch the sun go down.

Hammamet is thriving town used to be quieter nicer and more charming Urbanization destroyed the town and the over crowded tourism industry ,hotels destroyed the beautiful coastal breaches of hammamet
I guess there is a fine balance between economic investment and overcrowding! Not sure how many would agree with you as everyone I've spoken to mentioned a lack of tourism at the moment
Bro you got ripped there 🤣😅😅 that candy is normally costs 1 to 2 dinars max for each 100g 😅🤣🤣 be smart don't let them take advantage of you don't support those scammers they've damaged our tourism and our country's reputation by their scams and opportunistic mean character 😡 our country deserve a better image than they deliver
people tend to miss all the other inner states when they visit tunisia, like the mountains, the waterfalls in Bni mtir and much more to discover, Tunisia, hamamet, soussa are all washed up and over consumed and much more dirty and polluted then the country side of jendouba and béja
@@willieexplore Yeah it's not a lot of money for a tourist, but still this vendor has a bad heart, because i could never steal money from anyone, let alone a guest in our country. It probably would have costed around 2 dinars if the vendor was being honest.
I know my friend, I have paid a "tourist tax" on many of my travels. Converting it back to British Pound - yes, slightly expensive, but in England you will pay similar
We have to take into account that Tunisia has been experiencing severe political problems since the year of the 2011 revolution. Sit-ins and demonstrations have created chaos and disrupted the economy and development. Of course, this will negatively affect all sectors of the country.

people tend to miss all the other inner states when they visit tunisia, like the mountains, the waterfalls in Bni mtir and much more to discover, Tunisia, hamamet, soussa are all washed up and over consumed and much more dirty and polluted then the country side of jendouba and béja
plus people in the inner states are much more hospitable and won't try to take advantage of you for a tip
It is the same everywhere Red Pill, the real magic of a country is often way off the beaten track! So much to see in this wonderful country
