Thank you for your easy manner and clear speaking it has been a joy to share my afternoon with you enjoying the stunning scenery am an 82year old Grandmother who enjoys seeing and witnessing young people living life to the full God bless keep enjoying our beautiful world
Maybe forests are comforting for us because they engage all of our senses, in the best way. They are literally good for our health. That looked like a very fine forest you walked through, and that first glimpse of the bothy looked like a painting. So beautiful. That bothy is quite the romantic spot to spend a cold Winter night. Super cozy. Thanks for sharing another adventure with us.
This is Jesus an old (74yrs old) transplanted spaniard writing fm Puerto Rico....u guys really know how to live life....Few yrs back I retired fm the US Coast Guard....My last duty station was in Virginia.....Good to make ur acquaintance.....may u all be happy.....and as the Bob Dylan song goes.....and may u stay forever young....!!
An excellent video and a great route you took to the bothy. The bothy itself looked very good and a welcome shelter from the rain...glad you enjoyed your trip. Best wishes.
Yet another chill and peaceful video!! Thanks for uploading these and taking us on your adventures man. Also sleeping in a Bothy always seems super cosy, especially if the weather is like that outside
Nice setting to chill out with ya thoughts in peace and comfort, a wee bottle of Stones Green Ginger Wine woulda been nice to sip on whilst sitting by the fire deep in thought
Your relaxed demeanour was palpable as you wound your way up through the forest with a rushing burn at your side, in contrast to your last outing through a glen (Shira) that was more in the river than out!!🚣♂️😅 Only thing lacking on any video is to be able to sense the soul relaxing aromas of wet pine trees and vegetation 😊 Many would envy you another peaceful night in a well appointed bothy. Raging winds and storms, just shrugged off.😀 The seagulls getting feisty out my flat window say Spring is round the corner. Can't wait to see your expedition plans unfold.
I never used to like forests, as I always got disorientated - and then I realised it reminded me of being bullied in primary school, with the trees representing all the boys that used to crowd around me. They're much nicer now. I lovethe idea of having the whole bothy to yourself. I had a few of the quieter youth hostels, in my time - one of which would probably be more in the bothy category nowadays, if it still existed (Bryn Poeth Uchaf, in Wales). Incredible experiences. Yes, Iadd milk before removing teabags - so I can see what coulour it is...! Well done for keeping the animation going from last time - nice little video, that!
Love watching your videos, man. I wish we had bothies here in America! I'd be out doing exactly what you're doing if we did. LOL. What I really appreciate about this particular bothy is that it's surrounded by forests, so if you wanted to, you could go find plenty of dead or fallen trees to keep a raging fire going for hours. As for the tea debate... I can't speak for all Americans by any means, but I only ever have tea when I'm sick. Haha. And I don't think I've ever met anyone who puts milk in their tea, so I can't weigh in on this topic! :) Keep up the great vids! Much love, man.
milk in tea is common in the UK, I'm an outlier because i can't abide it. In England I have to specify when ordering, no milk, but in Scotland i'm either given it on the side or asked prior, but I've only ever met 3 people who take it black.
Yes, would definitely like to see more nature, and those wee waterfalls were great. Really cosy bothy, and no mice? I drink tea without milk, but local honey makes a big difference, plus stops hay fever in the spring and early summer. Really enjoyed this 😊
Hi mate, another great Bothy, really well decorated, and people have kept it so clean, every credit to everyone. Regarding tea, you have to put the milk in last! Haha Thanks for sharing your adventure again. I’m out in the Lake District again tomorrow, weather should be awful, as typical for the last few months! 🤣 All the best, Dave 😀⛰🥾🏴🏴
@@ScottishSummiteer Thnak you mate. The weather was pretty poor as expected. Was still great to be out though. The short video of my route with photos and videos will be put on my channel shortly. 😃⛰🥾
Aye, GDL is a 5 star bothy. There was a great debate wether to re-instate this bothy after the fire, some felt it was to easy of acess. The path behind the bothy lead,s to a rich fungi plot, to add to your meal. Also there is a water source behind the bothy, saves the boggy tramp to the river.
Just Subbed to your channel, its funny because you look like the young scottish lad on Googlebox, (He always appears next to his Girlfriend) had to double check it wasn't actually you! :D :D I will look forward to your future video's :D
WiFi? (on the door) - Wonder if you could forage mushrooms enroute etc. Sitting here with a 'nasty' broken wrist and been studying mushrooms. Enjoyed chilling out and watching your adventures 👍
What about bears and wild cats and canines? Seems dangerous to be hiking this trail alone, or don't such threats exist in the Highland Islands of Scotland? They do in California .... for certain.
Did you have a froffy coffee in the boffy, tactical tic tac, then a toffee.Got wet socks ? Then take them offy, huffy puffy sleeping bag's not fluffy.Maybe ?
Phenomenal and fandabby dozy simultaneously.which is nigh on unique.Just to be really avante garde i propose we initiate a paradigmatic shift in bothy pronunciation and call it both ee not bothy that rhymes with coffee, froffy or toffee.Flower of Scotland da da di di dee.....let's send them home tae think again ( about bothy pronunciation,of course ).
He's a young guy still learning about backpacking etc. We've all been there. @Scottish Summiteer maybe you might supplement the fire log with downed wood? I know it could be very challenging to get a fire going with the wet wood.
Love these wee bothy's. Props to the MBA for keeping these alive.
Hi bud good to see this bothy again I was a member of the MBA and helped to rebuild it, it was me that made the grate with the thistle on it
Nice one mate, cheers for the effort. Very much appreciated

I'm not a bothy fan but wouldn't turn one down in a storm... Thoroughly enjoyed your visit and video - thank you for sharing 😎
Thanks mate. Yeh I’m the same to be honest, you can get to some cooler places with a tent but if the weathers awful a bothies not too bad😊
Tea bag out first definitely, thanks for another splendid video looking forward to your next adventure.
Glad you enjoyed it mate 😊

Milk first teabag in let simmer teabag out sugar in😁
Think it’s pretty much opposite for me😂

tea bags out then milk
🤝
1st timer, never heard bothy.and can't understand why you didn't make a proper fire.passed plenty of fallen trees ect.
He's a young guy still learning about backpacking etc. We've all been there. @Scottish Summiteer maybe you might supplement the fire log with downed wood? I know it could be very challenging to get a fire going with the wet wood.
Teabag out first, then ad milk.
