Soooooooooo you have not spent a night in a bothy. I was 14 years of age when I stayed in my first Bothy, yes I was scared but as a kid of the highlands it was like a write of passage. I spent 2 night alone in Cadderlie bothy in the early 80's and have now slept in every single Bothy that I could find. 97 in total. My health no longer allows anymore adventures, but I am more than happy that my wonderlust alloweed me and friends to plunder the many treasures all over Scotland.
Beautiful area walking to the Bothy...I loved walking thru the pine forest here in New England, USA...with a light rain it smelled really refreshing...ATB....👍👍
Hope they all join when they look on site MBA The path was just redone 1 year ago, Other building was a stable, now a store for MBA. Shall stoney beach below cottage down to your left as you come out of the cottage. Above the cottage to the right there is a walk about 4k along to a camping site.
We went on holiday 5 years ago very close to where you filmed. It is a fantastic part of the West coast of Scotland and is very under rated. When I lived in Scotland I was about 20 miles as the crow flies from the bothy. Regards Crawford
As a "Bothy Bagger" cycled there in Aug 2009, when it was locked, but about to be done up into a bothy. nice to see it now in your fine video. It's also known as "Mark Ferry" so I assume there was a ferry there at one time, and possibly that outer building is to do with that - store for boating stuff etc. Nice cycle over to Lochgoilhead from there too. ATB
Beautiful scenery and video. Being from California, always have a film editors eye. Try looking at the camera and not yourself. It’s hard but your audience will feel you’re looking at them. 😊💯💖

Thank you for sharing the trip!
Really good option as you say for those who aren't into tenting it
Definitely a wee beach :) New subscriber from Galloway.
Well done getting out in the dodgy weather 👏!
