I am a member of Borris Golf Club. It is a beautiful course, very tricky to the wayward shot! This video is fantastic getting to see the course and members share our story. Well done to all involved. Anyone interested in a fabulous and challenging golf course with great people and good fun should pay a visit!
Andy, you have really hit a nerve, one of the finest videos seen on RUclips. A true cameo of life as is should be.Long may golf continue in this special place. Never visited or heard of Boris but it sure comes across as a must visit when golfing in the emerald isle.
Very flattered and glad you enjoyed
Fabulous course and beautiful scenery all captured brilliantly in your video. Seems you really enjoyed your visit. Joyce's is a Gem
Glad to see you finally found the sunshine. Great job!
Took a while! 🍀
Thank you Andy and Tracey for the best few days, we really enjoyed your company so much, looking forward to seeing ye again in Borris,
Ruth
You made the trip very special Ruth, it was great to see our relationship evolve from a reserved first evening to dancing on the tables by the end of the week, thanks for making it so special.
Gorgeous video, Andy. It goes to prove that there is more to golf than hitting a ball. Landscape, people, course - not one is less or more importamt than the others. And I agree, nine hole courses are fantastic and we should support them as much as their larger siblings. Tracy B for me this week

You are a lucky man Brian and I am pleased you are happy with our production.
What an amazing video.. its all about life and living it and a bit of golf coupled with a few Guinness...we are regular visitors to southern and west Ireland and we love our time over there..great uplifting video..👍
Thanks Andy, please stop by at Borris next time and say hello
Just love your photos, you should put them all in a book. The course looks like it’s in fantastic condition
More beautifully crafted content, Andy. This place gets better and better. Love the course, and the double 9 makes so much sense. Play the full 18, or pop out for a quick 9 holes that takes you back to the clubhouse for a swift beer or two. Perfect. I can see why so many of the members have never felt the need to go elsewhere. Photo wise…Tracy C for me this week. Good use of the light.
Yep its perfect alright.
These are the best edited videos about Golf. Good selection of background music too!
Thank you
Keep up the brilliant content. I look forward to your Monday videos every week!
What a trip Andy!! Stunning and heartwarming - golf was almost overshadowed by the fine folks (ha!)
They go hand in hand
lovely production.
what a breath of fresh air.
add that to my bucket list.
Thank you Tony
One day I'd love to come over the big pond and play real links golf. A lot of these courses you play look amazing! And Guinness is good too!
A fantastic feature, you’ve done an amazing job capturing the magic of my home town Borris, the breathtaking scenery, our friendly and most welcoming golf club and of course the best “19th Hole” aka Joyce’s for the “Ceol agus Craic”. From a non golfer point of view I truly enjoy my visits to the club, mentally you come away in good form having had the chat and a drink while taking in the most amazing scenery, my favorite being when the rabbits take over the greens as the sun sets.
That’s nice to read from a native, I am pleased you are happy with what we achieved 🙏
Such a different shade of green over there. I love Ireland.
Cue the Irish music indeed!
That has to be the best little golf video I’ve seen on you tube. Absolute little gem. What a fantastic community and golf course. Restores the faith.
Thanks Wayne
Wow, the scenery is amazing. Based on what I've seen in the photo's and video it the most beautiful course I've ever seen!
Wow, thank you!
Beautiful golf course...and beautiful episode. Thank you Andy!
Thanks Brian
What an amazing, marvelous job you have. This is one of your best, thank you for it. This week my vote is for Tracy C, terrific picture, you caught with the lighting just right.
Thanks Richard, we are very lucky 🍀
Heartburn ha ha Excellent video ! Cant wait to return to my home town of Borris, a few rounds of golf and a stay at Joyce’s B&B.
👍 you come from a lovely place
If I ever get to Ireland Borris is top of the list to visit.
Brilliant. Where have we all gone wrong eh. Great opening line, “ you are only a stranger here once “.
So true and I also love that line
You continue to break new ground. Fabulous.
Glad you think so
Great episode Andy, and great to see you enjoying yourself. The Louis Armstrong impression with an Irish lilt was so funny! Ok, ‘Tracy C’. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it
Stunning production......Tourism Ireland couldn't do it any better. The 19th hole is my favourite....
Glad you enjoyed Teddy.......the burger was a winner btw.
Andy, it was a pleasure to meet you both. We feel privileged that you showcased our area. Best of luck with all your future travels.
Sorry Andy, but Tracy B is my favourite photo!😊 Thank you both again for coming to our little part of the world.
Good choice Pat and thanks for having us
What a lovely post. My fave yet xxx
You would love it there Guy, forget the golf just go for Guiness! 🤣👍
Andy I think you were smitten with the beauty and maybe Guinness you forgot to show your round of golf
Great to see you in my home county of Carlow Andy, brilliant!! I’ll be home in Aug to play some of Carlow. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Carlowfornia.
Hope you pop into Borris Jason
Looks wonderful, a gem of a course, it has to be Tracy D this week
Good choice
THE best place to meet new friends and/or build your current friendships to deeper levels can be achieved through the game of golf.
I'm only here for the golf and the beer. Sums it up perfectly
One of the best! You've found a bit of heaven. I have to go with Tracy B, just love that green.
I totally agree!
I’ll definitely be paying Borris golf club and Joyce’s a visit!!
You must be related?
Maybe? My great grandfather came to England, to Yorkshire in the late 1800’s to work on the railways.
@@michaeljoyce8410 you need to take a trip over, it’s well worth it
Great video! Golf, wonderful people and Guinness, what more could you ask for. Have added Borris to my Google maps and would love to visit one day.
I would love you to, I highly recommend
I took up golf a couple of years ago, not to get my handicap down to single figures, not to have my name on the honours board but to get out and play in different places and meet different people.
Sadly events have taken over for a bit but things may change. Keep up the good work Andy and impossible to choose a winner with the photos, again.
I hope things change for the better David
Another classic video Andy. Great looking course, beautiful people, what more could we ask for when going on a golf trip. You have done a great job in promoting this hidden gem and I hope many of your UK based subscribers can add this to their "to play" list. Unfortunately, being based in Australia, it's a tad too far for me go for a game.
I hope they visit at some point Peter
Looks a Beautiful Course and Guinness👍 oh and photo Tracy D😁
It was!
What a cracking course and lovely people, Tracy d for the picture
Absolutely
Hello Andy , you really enjoyed making this episode. And all looks very friendly and inviting. Let’s pack things and travel there to enjoy life and people. 😊😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Andy absolutely a great video. You take good pictures
Thanks as ever Jeff
Great video, golf in Ireland is fabulous and there's so many of what I would call town courses which are well worth a visit on any trip.
Totally agree
Love the v-log, course a delight as were the members - very welcoming.
Lovely place Brian
Great video, great course but it's actually 10 not 9.
Thought the resident bar cleaner would make the cut... the robin who hoovers up the crumbs from the scones. Ever present when the door is open and annoyed when not let in.
Yer man Louis who is a past Captain and President referenced a 9 hole course so I am sure we can go with that 👍
My idea of golfing heaven, small club house, friendly folk and let the beer flow oh and the course is not to shabby, yep the heartburn will soon pass
Yes perfect 👌
Great video- lovely place and people. Tracey B
Absolutely ☘️
thank you Andy thank you.
You are very welcome
Tracy c great video showing how accessible great courses are with a road trip
It really is!
Couldn't help it Andy. Putting a second comment in. I thought i saw a rainbow in the back ground, w/a leprechaun sliding down it waving at you !😉
One of your best so far Andy !👏👍
I think I saw that!
This is the dream destination I seek, Thanks Andy

Yep you are spot on and glad it stirred emotion
Tracy e. loving the emerald island.
Three more episodes filmed over there
Absolutely the best off the beaten track so far. I could almost taste the Guinness 😂 Andy B for the photo call
I think so too! One of my favourites to film
Andy many thanks for replay again. With reference to the series. I’m a member of Wishaw Golf Club Sutton Coldfield. Our club is very much overlooked as we are the closest golf course to The Belfry within one mile of our famous neighbour. It’s a real golfers test with tight greens, water, tress and wind. We have a very loyal memberships and friendly club house. Interestingly it’s also the course the youth PGA apprentices take there on course assessments. It’s well worth a visit if you’re down in the West Midlands.
Tracy C - great vlog

This has got to be one of the best you have done. The golf course looked great. The accommodation , scenery , the meeting with Willie Mullins but most of all the people who made you so welcome. It made me LOL but was also quite touching. Well done 👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it, you should visit there your self

Great footage, totally immersion. Borris is certainly on my list. Tracy D is my favourite - sorry Andy. Thanks for highlighting the course, and the area.
I hope you pay it a visit
This is a great video. I feel Borris golf club seems like the epitome of what you've been about since your change of style. Thanks Andy
I’d agree David thanks
That mountain you refer to is mt Brandon which overlooks the town of graiguenamanagh which as I recall was featured in an episode James may & oz clarke did a few years back. The festival of writing & ideas is in Borris this weekend featuring loads of interesting people. It's a great area to live in.
Lived in Ireland for 11 years so far best 11 years we’ve had the old saying holds true where there is Irish a good time can be had and Guinness is best drunk in Ireland just not the same anywhere else in the world
you captured what the club is all about great vid sorry i missed you as a member and tranmere fan from birkenhead
Looks like a little slice of heaven. Wish I had a place like that where I live. Not only great golf but kind and respectful people to share the experience with. Well done!!
Very true, I wished I lived there
