A true story of two men who should never have met - a quadriplegic aristocrat who was injured in a paragliding accident and a young man from the projects.
I have seen the movie maybe 25 times with my French classes as a French teacher. First time in my career I saw the kids APPLAUD at the end of the movie!

The most underrated classic movie I ever seen. A feel good movie about one man is taking care of the paralyzed man in the wheelchair. Unlike the critics, fans gave a lot positive reactions and gave a cult classic. Go see this movie, it's a nice movie.
This movie is one of the commonly stated under-rated good films. Like the ratings stated, this is no doubt a good film.
5 minutes into the movie and i'm already engrossed. The story plot was simply amazing, showing how deep their relationship is because of how much time they have spent together. Also, showing how everyone has a story behind the laughter and smile.
If anyone has movies similar to this, please recommend them to me.
Samba ( in French ) have been released in France aproximately 2 weeks ago. I haven't seen it yet, but this is with the same amazing actor ( Omar Sy ), and the same directors. Check that out!

I've just watched this movie and all I can say is that I was in tears at times since it's packed with scenes which make you want to roll around the floor in laughter and cry as the relationship between Philippe and Driss evolves. In short one of the best films I've seen for ages and unlike a lot of films it was 2 hours of my life very, very well spent :-)

My dad introduced me to this almost two months ago. Safe to say it's become one of my favourite films of all time and I'm not overexaggerating. It's a genuine 10/10 movie.
I can't remember the last time I was so touched by a movie. A fantastic story presented with incredible acting and plot,based on true events. A story that brilliantly represents the connection between two living characters,not just employer-employee. Very profound,touching movie. Recommending it to everyone!
This is without doubt the best and most moving movie I have ever seen, coming from a 17 year old girl. I have watched it three times and cried every single time. This is absolutely worth watching, I almost feel sorry for all of those who has not seen it, you really don't know what you're missing!

Just finished watching the movie, made me cry, blown away by the genuine friendship they've made.
I work as a caregiver, I was exactly the same position like Driss, I am looking after gentlemen, sadly he passed away during covid time. this film is so related to me. I adore so much with Philipe or François, he is so handsome, I really love his smile.

Man how time flies. I watched this nearly 10 years ago now in French class. Honestly I didn’t care for French much but I enjoyed that class so much because of that teacher. I hope he is in a good place right now and that he leads a happy life. I know you probably won’t see this too but just in case you do mr Kearney I just wanted say what an amazing teacher you were and you probably don’t even realise how much of an impact you had on my life and others from that class. Honestly taught us so many life lessons and looking back your classes were one of my biggest highlights throughout the 5 years I spent at secondary school. There’s really not many teachers like you out there!
Apparently, Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart have been attached to this project and Paul Feig is 're'writing it. On Behalf of America, I apologize to the French in advance ahead of the inevitable travesty that will be done to this fine piece of cinema. Please know we aren't all slapstick hacks.

Remaking this film doesn't matter what actors would he disaster. They will not duplicate this.
Black Hax Cranston would KILL IT. He can be dramatic and comedic, but Kevin hart is a whisper in the storm. I wonder if he's capable of such acting...
Cranston was ok, not bad choice But the real problem here is Kevin Hart, he will be Kevin Hart on the movie and ruined the chemistry between those actors on screen, i can clearly see Chris Tucker or Others replace Hart character

hands down, one of the best movies that I've ever seen in my life. 8.6/10 rating on IMDB which is considered pretty high but I still believe that it is underrated. This movie was really touching and I really recommend it to everyone!
This movie was awesome! I don't often particularly like "heart-warming" or "uplifting" sorts of movies that much b/c they usually seem cheesy to me, but I did not think the Intouchables was corny or cheesy... I laughed a lot and the humor seemed so natural, not contrived like in a lot of movies (sometimes I find myself asking, "would anyone REALLY say or do that?"). And I liked seeing how they became an unlikely pair of really good friends. I don't think I ever felt happier watching a movie.

Man this looks like a great movie! Being a home health nurse aide I can relate. As caregivers we get attached to those we take care of and every time I lose a client to passing away my heart is broken 😢
That's not bad. Everytime your heart breaks, those heart-chip completed your late patients' heart. Be glad you had loved.
This was the first movie my French teacher showed me and it was definitely one that I keep going back to. Such a wonderful, heartbreaking yet heartwarming story with full of subtle humour! :)
This movie made me realize- Movies aren't just for entertainment purposes, sometimes they could very well make you feel alive and thankful for this amazing life.
This was such a good film. It was surprisingly really funny, without cliché humour, while still carrying genuine heartfelt moments that you will remember the next time you think about life and love. This movie really changed how I see friendships, other-abled people, and having fun. I will always recommend this film 👍
I remember when this came out I was 12 and my mom wanted to take me to the cinema to watch it. I told her it's gonna suck but boy did I feel stupid after I watched it with her. One of my favorite movies

One of the best movies I ever seen
It took me a while to get around to watching this film due to it having subtitles, but I am so glad I did watch it. I had a smile on my face throughout much of the movie. What a beautiful story and bond that these two men had. Loved every bit of it.
I'm not paralyzed but this movie has touched me deeply because someone has touched me the same way the caregiver did to the paralyzed man. With such a unique character and personality.The only thing is this person is struggling with drug addiction 😔
This is the power of best classic movie, being remade in Tamil, Telugu and English languages.. The lead actors in Intouchables and South Indian languages just nailed it.. Wonderful movie..

Had the privilege to see this film when I was on a 2 week vacation trip to Paris. Being able to remain in the city as I recognized those exquisite street corners of Paris created for me a deeper level of connection to this film. On top of the amazing acting, innocent human interpersonal emotions and feelings were inspired and thoroughly explored. In my later days in Paris, a walk on those cobblestone-paved streets with my beloved sometimes introduced scenes from this film. A profoundly stimulating film with a favourable depth to its plot, I enjoyed it very much.

The upside is good too. People need to stop getting so outraged just because it’s a remake, albeit one that came way too early. I guess it’s because it’s French and they wanted to make an English version. The upside is good, I liked it a lot. That being said the original here seems to be the obvious better version.
I haven't had a chance to watch it yet :( but I WILL and will come back and let you know. I'm sure it's great based on what all of the reviews! Have you seen it yet? @Dxpot

The Upside brought me back to this trailer. It's sad that people complain so much. That trailer is actually introducing people to this version of such a fantastic film, and it seems like both versions can exist and be great. Just enjoy them...

Such an amazing movie, and really inspirational too! It found the perfect balance between an emotional story and hilarious comedy. I've never laughed so hard during a movie as during this one, while at the same time also being invested and touched by the story on a very emotional level.
