The thai i think one is really gorgeous you should try it its like the same up top but usually has like balloon sleeves and like a long slit from hip to ankle so its more like a top that you wear with like genie pantaloons its soooo feminine and modest and weirdly sexy and just god i wish i could wear one without feeling like a monster since im not asian at all... i mean non asians do river dance and play the harp and celebrate st patricks and a bunch of other stuff but i want to wear a kimono and im stealing a culture. omg dude forreal eventhough I'm not mixed I feel as asian american because my first language was wnglish I never felt good enough on either not "chinese" enough but apparently not "american" enough to my non asian friends or ppl who meet me for the first time. I feel similarly although I am mixed and English is my second language. However, I am extremely white-passing and feel inadequately "asian" enough. It didn't help that the one time I wore a Cheongsam to a school event, my peers of predominately British descent, accused me of cultural appropriation/fetishization and called me a 'weeaboo'. While it is unfortunate we have both encountered difficult situations and insecurities because of our identities it is nice to know I am not alone! I hope one day you can find peace in both cultures.

I have good taste but i dont have a real sense on how to wear or suit clothes to my body type without feeling slutty (im hourglass) so i cant really wear anything fitted or it feels inappropriate since im curvy or anything that isnt really modest in coverage or i basically just get boob stares from both guys and girls so its a lose lose here. I pretty much exclusively live in baggy loose hip shorts and baggy loose tee shirts or maxi dresses. Im going to try step out of my comfort zone a bit too this year i started wearing crop tops and high waisted skirts and jeans and i really loved it and even with the comments or stares i felt really great and sort of just a ah fuck it it im a goddess i dont care attitude. They were still modest and close enough to my comfort zone yet new and flattering for me to really enjoy it. So next year im going to try slightly less modest tops seeing her rock it and not caring and looking gorgeous in literally everything has given me the confidence to try as well. I mean i live in outback australia its 43 celcius today i should be able to wear very free open bare minimum clothes and not feel like a piece of meat or like slutty doing so. Ive worn a slim more open plain blue dress and a white tee underneath and i really loved it even though it wasnt something id usually try i wven wore like a fashionable straw wide brimmed hat and my leopard print sunglasses and felt so awesome and its really the first time in the two years of having it that ive felt enough courage to wear it out and not feel like pretentious or like a dorky farmer lol. The thai i think one is really gorgeous you should try it its like the same up top but usually has like balloon sleeves and like a long slit from hip to ankle so its more like a top that you wear with like genie pantaloons its soooo feminine and modest and weirdly sexy and just god i wish i could wear one without feeling like a monster since im not asian at all... i mean non asians do river dance and play the harp and celebrate st patricks and a bunch of other stuff but i want to wear a kimono and im stealing a culture. Pfffft. The actual japanese people ive spoken to love LOVE it when people from other cultures experience theirs and enjoy theirs and want to wear yukata and try other traditional things. Since a lot of their youth and what not no longer do besides for like weddings maybe and even thats now more western in asia so if they can wear a white wedding dress which is my culture then i think anyone who is genuinely interested and would appreciate it and what to learn and experience a part of a new culture should be able to without being like shamed like their evil or something.

omg dude forreal eventhough I'm not mixed I feel as asian american because my first language was wnglish I never felt good enough on either not "chinese" enough but apparently not "american" enough to my non asian friends or ppl who meet me for the first time. I feel similarly although I am mixed and English is my second language. However, I am extremely white-passing and feel inadequately "asian" enough. It didn't help that the one time I wore a Cheongsam to a school event, my peers of predominately British descent, accused me of cultural appropriation/fetishization and called me a 'weeaboo'. While it is unfortunate we have both encountered difficult situations and insecurities because of our identities it is nice to know I am not alone! I hope one day you can find peace in both cultures.

You could soooo be a personal shopper you rake it in girl. My god i want to go thrifting with you. I have good taste but i dont have a real sense on how to wear or suit clothes to my body type without feeling slutty (im hourglass) so i cant really wear anything fitted or it feels inappropriate since im curvy or anything that isnt really modest in coverage or i basically just get boob stares from both guys and girls so its a lose lose here. I pretty much exclusively live in baggy loose hip shorts and baggy loose tee shirts or maxi dresses.
Maybe you could do a thrift store guide for different body types?

Im going to try step out of my comfort zone a bit too this year i started wearing crop tops and high waisted skirts and jeans and i really loved it and even with the comments or stares i felt really great and sort of just a ah fuck it it im a goddess i dont care attitude. They were still modest and close enough to my comfort zone yet new and flattering for me to really enjoy it. So next year im going to try slightly less modest tops seeing her rock it and not caring and looking gorgeous in literally everything has given me the confidence to try as well. I mean i live in outback australia its 43 celcius today i should be able to wear very free open bare minimum clothes and not feel like a piece of meat or like slutty doing so. Ive worn a slim more open plain blue dress and a white tee underneath and i really loved it even though it wasnt something id usually try i wven wore like a fashionable straw wide brimmed hat and my leopard print sunglasses and felt so awesome and its really the first time in the two years of having it that ive felt enough courage to wear it out and not feel like pretentious or like a dorky farmer lol. 100% identify with your feelings of guilt wearing the outfits of your heritage. I'm am 3rd generation Mexican-American, and although my family is Americanized, I am sooo proud of my Mexican heritage. Most of the time, I feel like I'm not enough to other Latinos - when that happens, I just hold my head high and remember where I came from and where my ancestors came from, and although I may never be the perfect Latina, I would never call myself anything else.
