Ingredients:
Vodka / moonshine 40 ° - 500 ml.
Sugar - 200 gr. (in the video is written with a mistake)
Strawberries - 600 gr.
Insanely delicious and fragrant liqueur that is very easy to drink! I highly recommend trying to cook it and treat your friends and family, the liqueur ends up with about 15-20° of alcohol.
#liqueur #vodka #liquor #strawberries
I do this also but i add the sugar to the strawberries first and let it set in the refrigerator for 7 days them strain out the strawberries and add the 100 proof too it amazing flavor
Your method is also great! I love strawberry liqueurs, they always have a bright aroma and taste!
@YalalovKitchen I'm doing a blueberry and blackberry combo, pulling it out tonight and mixing everything up will be ready tomorrow night, good after dinner drink keep up the good videos
We're going to have berry season soon, and I hope I can make some interesting berry liqueurs.
Yes this is great>
Looks amazing any recipes?
Add some sparkling water and ice and it looks like an amazing summer time spritzer.
Oh, yeah! It makes a great cocktail!
Keep it in a freezer and serve freezing cold
I had a strawberry wine during Christmas time and it literally tasted like robitussin gonna save this video in hopes that making my own turns out so different than the medicine wine I bought 😂
So just curious. why not maserate the strawberries, then add the vodka, then let it sit?
Because muh content!
If your going for a clear product then don’t do that if you want to do that and triple strain it then doing so may help with flavor retention but not much else
Would it not make sense at the 2nd phase (sugar added to alcohol infused berries) to go ahead and crush the berries? I would think it would make more infused syrup if you did and let it steep with the crushed berries.
Would love to try this,
Awesome. Thanks 👍
That's got to smell so good 🤤
Ok, basically like making cheong, but with added liquor. Might have to give this a go, just made some stawberry, lemon/lime cheong a few weeks ago that i need to use up!
Beautiful music to go along with your creative, and rather tasty endeavours.
🤔 can this be done with dried fruits like🫐🍑🥭🍍🍎🍒🥥or pamagranate using the same process🤔
For each fruit, the proportions and the duration of infusion are different.
Yes, I say the sweet spot I've found is 3 weeks steep time, with a shake every 3 days
Receita maravilhosa, obrigado
yes will try this and add lemon juice n fresh garden mint leaves. have made kvass with that. pineapple n mint is great too...lemon orange mint as well
With mint, the flavors will be even more interesting and varied!
@YalalovKitchen now on 3rd day of strawbs and mint in gin...
I have not tried it with gin, only with vodka and rum, I think gin will also have an interesting result!
Thank you!!
O acucar serviu pra que nessa receita?
Thank you so much! Just completed my liqueur and it turned out great 👍🏼 what do you suggest we do with the strawberries?
Thanks! Strawberries can be used to make a pie for adults. But it's better to just throw it away.
You could use a cheese press for the last step
Anyone know how to store the end product and for how long it will last?please
Pour infusion through colander/cheese cloth into Clean, air tight decanter. Close and store in dark, dry place
If you filter properly, which requires lab equipment, it'll last for years as long as its sealed and the ABV is 30% or above.
If you use a coffee filter, it'll take some time, but you'll get most of the way there. Then put the bottle, with the cork in, half way submerged into a pot of water and SLOWLY heat it on the stove. 130 degrees Fahrenheit is about when you'll see the cork start to loosen and pop, and thats right before the point where you get flavor changes from the heat. Its also right at the point where bacteria die.
Quickly pour in a tiny pinch of sodium benzoate and/or potassium sorbate - preservatives used for wine, syrups, and jams.
Recork/reseal and let it cool. As the liquid cools it will create a slight suction in the bottle making firstt time opening a little harder.
That should be shelf stable for years - yes years. Once opened, drink within 6 months - a practice that even professionally labeled liquors and Amaros suggest.
@ thank you
Will this work with white rum? Not a fan of vodka
Yes, it will fit perfectly!
did you add food coloring?
None, the color comes from the strawberries. I make cheong (korean simple syrup, similar process to this), and all the color is straight from the fruit! Very vivid color and delicious tasting!
On peut la faire aussi en chauffant la vodka et mètre les fraises et le mètre en bouteille bien fermer en la gardent dans une zone enbiente. 👍🇨🇵. Joël
Heating the vodka takes the alcohol 🍷 out, that would defeat the whole purpose
Great recipe! I’m halfway through making it. What is the best way of serving it?
It is better to drink chilled. You can use shots or just in a glass
Im Glas.
Chilled in a pint glass😊
@@JohnDunnett-ht5cw
👍 too bloody right. A big F off Pint glass 🍺
😂😂😂😂
What percentage do you think it is
About 15-20
❤❤❤bonjour,je fais la même chose mais avec des fraises bonbons tagada.
Erdbeerlimes auch mal?
We do this with moonshine.
Is this shelf stable or will it need to be kept in the fridge?
The liquor can be stored at room temperature
Boil the strawberries until they flatten, then pour the juice through a cheese cloth you used for rising bread ;) close the jar and the next day you have strawberry wine:) Watch out opening the jar could lose an eye;) Spike if you like but the taste is like bunny farts :P mmm.
Vodka = potato
Potato = vegetable
Vegetable = Healthy
Therefore, vodka for breakfast is healthy.
😅👍
I can taste it.
I tried doing this to the blackberries I grew in my garden. I did everything you did but when my daughter opened it, she nearly lost an eye from the cap shooting off and it coloured my white ceiling and new white, glossy cupboards with such force ,my late husband ( retired policeman ) said it looked like someone had shot their brains out!! First and last time I tried making it lol 😂😂😂
😅😂
Thank you for the warning😂😂
🤤
Oh yesss pleeeease
🔥 🔥 🔥 🍓🍓🍓🔥🔥🔥🍓🍓🍓
Very similar to German schnapps.
Je n'aime pas la vodka je préfère l'eau de vie meilleure avec les frais.miam miam.👍🇨🇵.merci pour cette recette.je vai coûté.👍. Joël.
Strawberries in a blender so we don’t lose any juice. Thanks
Too bad I don't drink nomore but I watched anyways.
Thanks for your viewing!
A lot of rude s.o.b.s you have to deal with , and in so many different languages.
I am happy with every opinion that viewers write on my channel. There is a lot to learn from both the positive and the negative ones.
I make my own liquor on my channel and happy to say i will be using your technique to make strawberry as well as blueberry, raspberry and blackberry liqueur. I also noticed
@susandunlap7754 comment on letting the sugar and berries set in the refrigerator for 7days. That's kind of how I sweeten strawberries for sponge cakes.
I am glad that you liked my cooking technology! I leave the sugar with strawberries for 7 days so that the sugar absorbs the rest of the alcohol, strawberry juice and flavor into you. This way you get an awesome syrup!
@@YalalovKitchen Thank you for you tips. I truly appreciate it.
Leaving them in fridge with sugar will macerate and break cells up releasing volatile compounds i.e. flavor. By first extracting in alcohol you would preserve those fresh compounds resulting in better overall taste.
The alcohol extracts the essential volatile cmpds while the sugar draws all the water out of the berries.
I think that was nothing but strawberry juice that took 10 days
With most of a litre of vodka in it?
Who cares? I don't. I'm really tired of seeing stuff that I do not care about.
What are you talking about
how long will this keep for
Not long as is - maybe a month. 30%+ ABV will help a lot to extend it, but to achieve real shelf stability, you need a far more comprehensive filtering approach, heat sealing, and some preservatives.
All doable from your kitchen without spending too much, but still time consuming and slightly complicated
Thank god it’s all past through your fingers what a gift! 🤢
Diabetes is cool!!
