Do you use the same method as the video for the other fruits? I want to do cherries one day but do you just freeze them and let them thaw or do you let them soak in the alcohol similar to limoncello?
@@tee-bone2513 We always let them soak in the alcohol. But I want to try this freezing method. If you have access to wild black cherries, the booze tastes just like a cherry pie.
Came out really good! I went by the full recipe for the first batch and then went with about 2/3 of the sugar for the second batch. Thank you and I'll stay tuned for your upcoming videos!
Hi Andrea. I made this and the Fragalino Cream. Both are spectacular+ Otherwise, I asked chatgpt to recommend some flavour profiles for the next round, and it suggested this: Vanilla: Start with half a vanilla pod to introduce a warm and sweet base note. Cinnamon: Add a small piece of cinnamon stick for a hint of spicy warmth. Lemon Peel: Include a strip of lemon peel, avoiding the white pith to prevent bitterness, to add brightness. Black Pepper: A few whole black peppercorns can add a subtle, spicy kick. Basil: A few fresh basil leaves will bring a fresh and slightly peppery flavor that complements strawberries well. It sounds like a twist on some classic dessert recipes. Do you think this might be worthwhile?
Another excellent video. Your final comment is so true. Have recently made raspberry and mulberry liqueurs (and am now planning on making your strawberry liqueur) and adding the liqueur to ice cream can make it "spectacular" . :-)

Hello, really good content... I am thinking of making a mixed fruit liqeor... for example strawberry and raspberry liqeor... how would i make this? is it the same process but put both fruits in the same container??
I will definitely make this. By the way, you mention that vodka or rum can substitute for 95% alcohol (in proper proportions), but does this work for your other liqueur recipes?
I love these recipes, Andrea. Thank you for sharing them! However, I have a bit of an issue in making them. I'm Italian-American (so I really want some of these recipes), but I live in Iran where alcohol is technically illegal (lots of home brewers, though). Would you happen to know how to make pure alcohol or the base wines needed in your other recipes?
You can make fermented drinks easily, like ginger beer (I think that's the easiest one to start) or mead. It won't be hard liquors, but it's a fun project and you don't need alcohol as a base, just carbs in the form of fruit/honey/pure sugar and yeast, basically.
@@drillerdev4624 Actually, alcohol yeast isn't available. The closest thing is French bread yeast. So just wild ferments... it's been a wild ride with those...
@@drillerdev4624 I've tried bread yeast, but the taste and alcohol level are not so good. Wild fermentation seems to be the best option for the time being, as much of a gamble as it is.

First of all, I really do thank you for your great recipes. I assume that in this video a small correction is needed when you say that instead of 250 ml 95 % spirit you can use 500 ml 40 % vodka. The correct way might be instead of 300 ml water and 250 ml spirit you can use 500 ml 40% vodka. Otherwise, the alcohol content of your final product will be 18,6%, not 30%.
Hi, I love your channel. Here in tropical north Queensland, Australia, I will definitely try this with mangos, pawpaw/papaya, lychees etc in summer. But right now, I am heading to my supermarket to buy some snap frozen fruit and give it a go.
I took two gallons of strawberries, and they gave me 1500 ml of juice. I divided into 4 quart jars, each containing 150 grams of natural sugar, and 300 ml spring water. Then I divided a fifth (750ml) of 100’ proof vodka into the 4 jars. The Liquor has a very fresh and delicious flavor! I then made jam from the berries. This is a wonderful recipe, I will definitely make again next year. I purchased the gallons of berries for $8, or about 15,000 lira. Would like to try blueberries and blackberries like this!
