I have a canon M 50 mark two with an 18 to 135 STM and a 55 to 250 STM lens. I have the sigma 16 mm M mount and the Viltrox 23 mm M mount. Do you think I should sell the M 50 and M mount lenses and get an R7? Will it be a major upgrade?
So that’s exactly what I did! And I love the R7! I used EF lens on the M50 and used them on the R7 by buying an EF-RF mount so I didnt have to buy new lenses again!

I've said this so much, I'm going to try to abbreviate it..... I own two R7's. Best camera "for my purposes", that I have ever owned (in spite of its faults, and there are several) But IMPO, the R7 is a very specialized camera, that just happens to be great at exactly what I need it for.
I believe the Canon R6 Mk II.... or for the budget minded, the original R6.... even used or refurbed would be a better, more all around choice, than the R7.
Can you please expound on what you feel the limitations are and why the r6's would be a better choice?
@@osceolaseminole5596 well, by all accounts, the R6 and especially the Mk II have a much faster, more accurate AF system. It's also better in low light.

No .mov you’d have to use a converter if you wanted .mov

Hi, About the dual card slots, Can I salve raw file in each memory? So if I would have problem with one memory I have the other one with raw files on it.
Yes, you can.
Yes. Or jpeg to one and raw to the other. Personally, I live dangerously and just use one card at a time, doubling my card capacity. So far, in shooting digital since 2004 I have never had a single card corrupt or stop working. Just lucky I guess.

Why do I use R7 to shoot 4K videos and when playing 4K videos, I notice some twitching and freezing? My computer is the latest.
it may be how you are playing it back. check your codecs and what software you are using.
@@TechThroughTheLens When I play it on other computers, I also find that 4K videos are a little jittery and laggy. I shot the video using automatic stop.

This video is a lot of hype. The resolution on this camera is the problem. As an R7 owner I find that unless you’re using high grade lenses the sensor is too demanding and you lose image quality. Also video codecs are limited to the lower end IPB. The EOS R easily outperforms the R7 in image quality.

@@nezthug2411if you’re on the fence between the r7 or 90d, choose the r7. The autofocus on the r7 is on a different level, video is also 10 bit 4k downsampled from 7k, and having IBIS. If you have the budget it should either be an r7 or an r6. DSLR vs mirrorless no question just chose the mirrorless camera they are just not comparable
